Chapter 57

Chapter 57

Li Qingzhu opened the curtains. The sun was shining brightly outside, and she planned to find something to do.

When she came here, the original owner had already quit her job as a teacher, so she had to find a new job.

Although she has enough money to live on now, she still has enough food and clothing to eat. However, she feels bored if she doesn't work all day. She knows herself and will feel bored before she can enjoy a few days of relaxing time.

So Li Qingzhu decided to go out and explore, looking for any vacant stores she could take over. She planned to open a small shop of her own, but as for what kind of store she wanted, she needed to see what was lacking in the surrounding area.

After packing up, Li Qingzhu called Lao Rao and went out.

Leng Qingxiu slept in the guest room last night and went to the company at dawn this morning.

In the morning, he asked Aunt Zhao for the key to the room and sneaked into the room to get his clothes and tie. However, Li Qingzhu was in a deep sleep and didn't hear any sound, so naturally, she didn't know anyone had come into the room. When Li Qingzhu got up this morning, he didn't even notice that the door was no longer locked.

Li Qingzhu asked Lao Rao to drop her off at Kemei Street, a place she had seen on the map earlier that morning. After studying it for half an hour, she learned that it was a famous flower market near the subway station, with a high flow of people. Leng Qingxiu's shop was also nearby.

Yesterday, when she was riding in Leng Qingxiu's car, she asked where his company was, and he replied that it was near Kemei Street.

It was only morning when she arrived, and people were already coming and going nearby. Judging by their clothing, Li Qingzhu guessed that most of them were office workers.

Li Qingzhu asked Lao Rao to pull over and then walked inside. She passed several breakfast shops along the way. She looked up and saw that the one doing the best business was selling steamed buns and soy milk. Judging by the sign, it looked quite old. She glanced left, then right, where she saw several bakeries and milk tea shops.

"Daddy, Daddy, I don't want to go dancing today." A little girl, about five or six years old, hugged her father's thighs and begged not to go to the interest class.

Li Qingzhu heard the voice and looked at the little girl. She was fair and clean, wearing a white dress and a pair of white leather shoes, like a little princess.

"That's not possible. Didn't you say before that you liked dancing? Didn't we already agree with mom that you can't give up halfway? If you like it, you have to stick with it." The man squatted down and hugged the little girl, talking to his daughter gently.

"Be good, baby, don't let mom hear this, or I'll scold you again." Hu Langyan touched the little girl's chubby face.

Hu Langyan knew his wife's temper. If he let her know that his daughter was throwing a tantrum and didn't want to go dancing, he would definitely lecture her.

After hearing this, the little girl pouted, looking reluctant and aggrieved. She looked so cute that Li Qingzhu couldn't help but look at her a few more times.

"Then Dad, can we change our mom?" She wanted to change to a mom who was as gentle as her dad, so that she wouldn't have to go to dance class every day and could play with Kaikai.

When Hu Langyan heard this, he was at a loss whether to laugh or cry. "Don't let your mother hear this, or you'll get beaten." After saying that, he looked up at the bakery.

The little girl ignored her father's words. She looked around and found Li Qingzhu looking at her.

When Li Qingzhu saw the little girl looking into her eyes, she smiled at her.

When the little girl saw Li Qingzhu smiling at her, she shyly hid in her father's arms.

After buying bread, the little girl's mother saw the father and daughter whispering. When they talked about whether they wanted to change mothers, she felt helpless at first, then said to her daughter with a stern face, "Hu Huan, I'm angry when you say that."

After saying that, she pretended to be angry and left.

Li Qingzhu looked at that face and a name popped up in her mind: Hong Xu.

Seeing his wife pretending to be angry to amuse their daughter, Hu Langyan followed suit and said, "What should I do? Mom is angry."

Seeing her mother was angry, the little girl followed her and skillfully reached out to hold her mother's hand, tilting her head back to apologize to her mother. Hu Langyan watched the mother and daughter's dynamics from behind, smiling as they watched them quarrel.

Seeing that the three people had gone far away, Li Qingzhu realized that Hong Xu was already married and had a beautiful and lovely daughter.

This seems unbelievable no matter how you look at it.

On this day, Li Qingzhu spent the whole morning and afternoon strolling around Kemei Street. When she saw a shop that was for sale, she took out her cell phone and took a picture of the contact information.

After walking for a whole day, Li Qingzhu was about to go back with a bag of things, so he called Lao Rao to pick him up.

She didn't wait for Lao Rao's car, but waited for Leng Qingxiu's car.

"Get in the car." Leng Qingxiu rolled down the window and shouted to the woman standing outside.

Just now, he saw Li Qingzhu standing across from him with a bag of things in her hand. He wondered why she was here today, and then asked the driver to drive over.

Li Qingzhu saw Leng Qingxiu and asked in surprise, "Why are you here? Are you going home now?"

Today she wore a turtleneck top with a sweater on top. Although the weather wasn't cold, the temperature dropped significantly at night. Now she could feel the cold air entering her arms, and her body shivered slightly.

"It's cold outside, come up first." Leng Qingxiu helped her open the door.

Li Qingzhu got in the car and called Lao Rao to talk.

"I'm going on a business trip to Daxin tomorrow. It'll take three or four days. I'm going home to pack my luggage now."

Leng Qingxiu was explaining what Li Qingzhu had just asked him.

Li Qingzhu fastened her seatbelt and, after hearing Leng Qingxiu's explanation, said, "Then be careful."

"Um."

In the back seat, both of them sat closer inside. Li Qingzhu placed her hands on her legs, and her elbows occasionally touched Leng Qingxiu's coat and arms.

"I have something else I want to tell you." Li Qingzhu felt that she still had to talk to Leng Qingxiu about opening a store.

"What's up?"

"I'm planning to open a shop, but I haven't decided what it will be. I'm thinking of opening it on Kemei Street, as I think there will be a lot of people there."

"What do you think? How about giving me some advice?"

How could she have forgotten this big shot?! After all, he was a businessman, so he must know more than a newbie like her.

Leng Qingxiu didn't expect Li Qingzhu to ask him what he thought. Seeing her expectant look, he slowly said, "The location is good, so there won't be too few customers. If the prices of the items you sell are reasonable and there's room for profit, you can make a small profit. However, the most important thing is what you want to buy."

In the market, people's needs and product positioning are very important. A good location and stable customer flow alone cannot determine whether a product is profitable.

Leng Qingxiu saw that Li Qingzhu was interested in opening a shop and asked casually, "If you want to open a shop, do you have enough funds?"

Li Qingzhu's eyes lit up when she heard this. She suppressed her excitement and said softly, "I have some money on hand. But if you want to invest, I won't mind it being too much. If you can get Boss Leng's support, that would be even better."

Hearing this, Leng Qingxiu instantly understood what she meant.

"I'll transfer the money to you later."

"Okay, thank you, Boss Leng!" With the extra wealth, Li Qingzhu's happiness today was doubled.

Leng Qingxiu had never seen Li Qingzhu laugh so heartily. Before, her smile was mostly a shallow one. Although it was enough to attract people's attention, it was not like now, which seemed to be contagious and make people smile along with it.

The car arrived at the traffic light and stopped.

Li Qingzhu glanced outside and saw the family she had met this morning crossing the street. She said thoughtfully, "I ran into that family this morning, and now I see them again. What a coincidence."

She deliberately wanted to attract Leng Qingxiu's attention to them, and it would be best if she could recognize them.

Leng Qingxiu looked over and saw the familiar face. He stared at it carefully for a moment, with an expression of shock that was difficult to conceal on his face. It took him a long time to recover.

Seeing that he looked unhappy, Li Qingzhu deliberately asked, "What's wrong? Do you know them?"

Their backs had disappeared from his sight. Leng Qingxiu sighed for a moment, "Maybe they know each other. That woman is the girl I liked when I was eighteen."

He didn't intend to hide it from her and admitted it generously.

Seeing Hong Xu now, Leng Qingxiu felt incredibly calm. Perhaps it was because they had been apart for too long, he had lost to time, to growth.

"This morning I heard the little girl calling her mother and the man next to her father. So, she might be married now?" Li Qingzhu told Leng Qingxiu what she saw in the morning.

"If she is really married, how would you feel?"

"So many years have passed, it's time for her to get married and have children."

Leng Qingxiu had also thought about these things. If they could meet one day, he would be able to face them calmly.

After the car passed the intersection, they had no idea where the family had gone. In short, they were just strangers, and their paths might never cross again.

Seeing that there was no big expression on his face, Li Qingzhu asked, "Do you still like her?"

She wanted a definite answer.

It felt like she had asked him this question tentatively, but never said it directly.

She remembered that Leng Qingxiu in the book never got married in his life. Could it be that he still couldn't forget Hong Xu?

Time seemed to stand still at this moment. Both of them looked at each other, but neither spoke.

Leng Qingxiu didn't expect her to ask him directly. He chuckled and shook his head. He gave his answer.

Then he asked her, "What about you?"

Li Qingzhu also imitated Leng Qingxiu and shook her head, then smiled and said, "Oh, what a coincidence, me too."

The two smiled at each other.

This smile contained the two people's relief from the past, as well as their mutual appreciation for each other.
