Chapter 617 The Down-and-Out Second Generation is the Ex (3)
Duan's House.
"Duan Sijun, you've been acting strange lately. You never show up when I ask you out." Zhang Chaoyang punched him in the chest.
It's been seven days since the New Year, and when he called this guy, he was either busy or not available. It was really surprising that he would show up when he asked him out before. So he risked the Duan family's cold stares and went to Duan's house to see what he was doing. As a result, he was actually playing with toys at home.
"Not strange." Duan Sijun didn't forget to play with the electronic toys in his hand while talking to him.
"A grown man, playing with these, how boring." Zhang Chaoyang was about to pull the things in his hand, but Duan Sijun dodged and put the things on the shelf. Then he looked at him straight in the eye and asked in confusion, "Hey, what did you come to see me for?"
"No big deal." Zhang Chaoyang put his hands aside and looked down at him, "Where's your girlfriend? Bring her to dinner tonight."
"She's busy with work." Duan Sijun pouted, obviously feeling aggrieved.
"Busy with work?" Zhang Chaoyang frowned, "What does she do?"
"She is a writing teacher. You know parents nowadays. They are afraid that their children will lose at the starting line, so they arrange various interest classes for their children whenever they can. Her appointments for the third day of the New Year are full. I haven't seen her for several days." Duan Sijun couldn't stop talking, and Duan's mother could hear the sourness in his words from a distance.
"No wonder you haven't gone out these days?" She put the fruit plate on the table, moved closer to her son, and gossiped, "How long have you been with this girl?"
Duan Sijun took a piece of pear meat and stuffed it into his mouth, looking at her hesitantly, "Mom, don't you always ask me these things?"
OK. These two mother and son treat themselves as invisible people. Zhang Chaoyang felt bitter, but he didn't say anything and quietly stepped aside.
"I didn't ask before because I knew you two wouldn't make it." The beautiful middle-aged woman blinked, "Now I feel like you and her can make it."
"Mom, how come you are the same as the worm in my stomach." Duan Sijun heard what his mother meant, that she was supporting him and Wen Shiyi to be together, and rushed to flatter her, "As expected of my mother, you are wise and powerful, wise and insightful, and none of my ideas can escape your eyes."
"It's a must." Duan's mother turned the jade bracelet on her hand. Obviously, his compliments were very useful to her.
"I plan to bring her home to see you after a while when she is not busy at work." Duan Sijun looked up at his mother, his heart and eyes full of expectation.
"What's her name?"
"Wen Shiyi."
"Well, it's okay. When you bring her back, say hello in advance, and prepare some delicious food at home." Duan's mother nodded and smiled very kindly, but she was wary of this girl she had never met.
Her son has no scheming and no outstanding abilities. He is supported by his family, so he can still get along well in the circle. Most of the people he dated in the past were from the same class in the circle. As a mother, she was not worried whether it would work out or not. But a writing teacher was able to wrap her son's heart tightly, and he even stopped meeting his brothers. I don't know how much better his methods are than those of the girls in the circle.
"Thank you, Mom." Duan Sijun held her hand, kissed her on the lips, and then quickly let go.
Duan's mother touched her eldest son's head, turned around and walked out. When she was about to walk out of the door, she remembered that Zhang Chaoyang, who was ignored, raised his smiling face and pretended to be fine, "Chaoyang is here too, have fun with Sijun, I won't bother you."
Zhang Chaoyang agreed repeatedly, but he didn't say anything in his heart. He didn't like to come to Duan's house, and 80% of the reason was because he didn't want to deal with Duan's parents.
"Are you going out to play or not?" Guessing that Duan's mother was about to go downstairs, he pushed his good brother's shoulder this time.
"No, no." Duan Sijun took down his toys and continued to tinker with them.
"It's boring." Since he didn't want to go, Zhang Chaoyang didn't want to force him, so he took his coat and turned to leave.
After he left, Duan Sijun, who was bored, called Shi Yi. The dissatisfaction he had endured for several days disappeared under the comfort of the female voice.
——————
"Sister, whose phone call is taking so long?" Shi Yi just hung up the call and turned around, and saw a little boy holding a doll asking her a wronged question. The little boy was estimated to be only eight or nine years old, but his eyes were calmer and more melancholy than the sea.
She walked over and held the boy's hand, and walked into the house while apologizing, "I'm sorry, Huanhuan, because of my personal affairs, I delayed your composition tutoring time. I will make up for it another day, okay?"
The little boy blinked and looked at her. He was stunned at first, and then clapped his hands, as if he was a little incredulous, "Is what I said true?"
"Really. I never lie to Huanhuan." Shi Yi raised her hand and rubbed his soft hair. She treated him no differently from other children.
The boy's mother, Li Wei, came out of the kitchen with a fruit plate. Seeing her son's rare smile, she was relieved and sad.
She didn't know how the child suddenly got bipolar disorder when they were living such a good life. He
didn't communicate with her and her husband, nor with his peers. He stayed in the room all day, dazed and distracted, and didn't study. When you taught him, he would lose his temper and throw things...
Alas... At least the child is willing to learn writing now, which is good. As for the rest, let it go. Isn't it for the children that I earned so much money in the first half of my life?
When Shi Yi left the little boy's house, Li Wei sent her to the elevator door. It was just a matter of a few steps. She insisted that Shi Yi accept the red envelope she gave, but was rejected by Shi Yi many times.
"Sister Li, this is my job. You have paid the salary on time, so there is no need for the red envelope. Besides, I like Huanhuan very much. If you are so polite again, I will be embarrassed to come next time." Shi Yi smiled and stuffed the red envelope into her palm. She felt mixed emotions.
"Thank you for your hard work." Li Wei squeezed the red envelope tightly, and some words were stuck in her mouth but she couldn't say them.
"You are the one who is really hard-working. Mothers are all great." Shi Yi saw the elevator door open and waved goodbye politely, "See you another day."
"See you another day." Li Wei waved at her and suddenly felt a little discouraged.
She has not had a good sleep since her child was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. She has seen many psychologists and hired many counselors, but none of them helped. If she had not gone shopping with her child that day and accidentally walked into Wen Shiyi's writing studio, she would not have known that her son was interested in writing.
