Chapter 688 Woman, You Promised You'd Support Me (39)

As we walked, we talked.

"The bath water is already prepared and set to a constant temperature. I can give you a bath now."

Su Yan entered the bath.

She shook her head.

"I can wash it myself."

She closed her eyes and leaned against the edge of the bathtub.

The rising steam blurred her face.

Ye Shao moved a small stool and sat down next to him, without leaving.

Instead, he sat obediently in a spot where Su Yan could easily reach him.

His eyes never left her.

It was probably because I had been stared at by that burning gaze for too long.

It can never be completely ignored.

Su Yan opened her eyes and turned her head to look at him.

Why aren't you leaving yet?

Ye Shao clutched the hem of her clothes.

"I want to stay with you."

His voice was dry and lifeless when he spoke.

He probably realized that Su Yan didn't seem to want him there.

So much so that I felt somewhat at a loss.

Su Yan saw that he looked like he was about to cry again.

I don't want to talk to him.

I originally thought he was physically weak.

But unexpectedly, he was the first to be defeated.

He was the one who got the better deal, so why does it seem like she was the one who paid for his services?

Su Yan raised her arm, paused, and then placed it on the bathtub.

I'm so tired, I really don't want to move.

She spoke

"Come here and wash me."

Ye Shao nodded quickly and obediently walked up to Su Yan.

I squatted down in front of her.

I took a bath sponge and cleaned her little by little.

This time the bath lasted exceptionally long, almost an hour.

Xiaohua's chicken soup had been simmering for a whole day and night; the chicken bones were almost dissolved from the heat.

Finally, on that afternoon, the host stepped out of the bedroom.

Contrary to its expectations, the host was carried out by the male protagonist.

The male protagonist looked both shy and happy. The host, nestled in his arms, blinked, proving she wasn't asleep.

The robot Xiaohua immediately brought the chicken soup to its host.

babyish voice

"Master, you're finally out. Little Flower made you some chicken soup."

As he spoke, he handed it over.

Ye Shao carefully placed the person on the sofa, as if handling a fragile item.

Then, he took the chicken soup from Xiaohua's hands.

He fed Su Yan spoonful by spoonful.

Su Yan opened her mouth and took a sip.

I haven't eaten anything for so long.

I was so hungry I could barely feel anything.

Now, the smell of chicken soup makes me hungry instantly.

Ye Shao fed Su Yan, and Su Yan drank.

The bowl was finished very quickly.

Xiaohua was very observant and immediately brought over the pot of chicken soup.

"Host, they are all yours."

Xiaohua's voice was sweet and childlike.

Su Yan opened her eyes and looked at Xiao Hua.

A rare hint of appreciation flickered in his eyes.

The little flower is still quite useful.

Su Yan drank her third bowl.

I've finally recovered a bit and have some strength back.

She shifted her body slightly and looked at Ye Shao.

Aren't you hungry?

Ye Shao shook his head

"I'm fine, you drink it."

He seemed quite energetic as he spoke.

It doesn't look like someone who has been hungry for a long time.

However, Su Yan still forced him to drink two bowls of chicken soup.

"Ding-dong, ding-dong"

The doorbell rang.

Xiaohua spoke up.

"Master, the person knocking is Zhao Lin."

Go open the door.

"Yes, Master."

Then, Xiaohua headed towards the gate.

Soon, the door opened.

Little Flower is back.

"Master, he's here."

Zhao Lin, dressed in a neat military uniform, followed behind Xiao Hua.

He first gave Su Yan a military salute.

"General."

Su Yan nodded

"What's up?"

His voice was hoarse.

Zhao Lin was taken aback.

"General, are you ill?"

Su Yan glanced at Ye Shao and nodded vaguely.

"What's up?"

She asked again.
