As Xuanyuan Yonghao listened, he glanced at the snake with his dark eyes.
Then slowly said
"I want to eat snake meat."
Su Yan sounded a little troubled and whispered to Xuan Yuan Yonghao...
"If we didn't ask for the inner pot, we could still eat it, but since it gave us the inner pot, wouldn't it be a bit inappropriate to eat it too?"
She spoke quietly to Xuanyuan Yonghao.
The snake hissed and slithered backward.
Xuanyuan Yonghao looked at her troubled little face, his throat bobbed, and he laughed.

Su Yan blinked and licked the corner of her lips.

As she spoke, Su Yan noticed that the bluish color on his lips had faded.

She reached out and tossed the inner lining into the air. The snake immediately leaped up, opened its mouth wide, and swallowed the inner lining back in one swift motion.
Then, it disappeared with a whoosh.
It was originally meant to eat people, but unexpectedly, someone took its inner lining.
If it stayed any longer, it would have been stewed by someone. Why wouldn't it run away?
Just then, Xiaohua's voice could be heard.
"Ding-dong, a star has been lit. Good luck, host!!"
Then, Su Yan helped Xuan Yuan Yonghao walk back step by step.
It was late autumn, and a chilly wind was blowing.
Just looking up at the moon and the starry sky is breathtakingly beautiful; it's truly a stunning sight.
As soon as Su Yan was helped back to her bedchamber, she discovered that the imperial physicians were already in place.
There were many guards in black standing at the entrance, as if they knew all along that Xuanyuan Yonghao was going to be bitten.
So much so that as soon as Xuanyuan Yonghao lay down on the bed, a whole host of imperial physicians rushed in.
Su Yan tried to make room, but Xuan Yuan Yonghao grabbed her wrist and held her tightly.
"where did you go?"
He leaned against the headboard, his eyes fixed on her.
"The imperial physician will examine you. This servant will take her leave now... and will return later."
Before he could finish speaking, he abruptly interrupted her, glancing at the imperial physician beside him.
“Come and take a look at her; she’s sucked poisonous snake blood.”

Then, he stepped aside.

After a long pause, the imperial physician knelt on the ground and said...

After he finished speaking, the imperial physician added one more sentence.

As he spoke, Qi Qi asked him to leave.
Chunhua Qiushi still had several personal maids in the room.
They were originally meant to stay and take care of Xuanyuan Yonghao.
Qiu Shi was pale and trembling, looking somewhat guilty.
Looking at Qiu Shi's expression, Chunhua knew at a glance that he had made a mess of things.
Chunhua frowned and gave an order
"Qiushi, go and boil some ginger water for His Highness to dispel the cold."
Qiu Shi quickly agreed.

With that, he hurriedly walked out.
Xuanyuan Yonghao lay on the bed, his eyelids drooping, looking as sickly as ever.
He coughed lightly, his tone gentle and warm.
"You all get out."
"yes"
In unison, the maids all withdrew.
Su Yan was about to go out as well, but as soon as she took a step back, she was grabbed and pulled back.
After everyone else left, only the two of them remained in the bedchamber.
