Chapter 242: Don't Covet the Dragon's Daughter 10

Chapter 242: Don't Covet the Dragon's Daughter 10

Mingnan was responsible for making fire and cooking, while Lais was responsible for fetching water and washing dishes.

Occasionally, when he was in a good mood, he would go out hunting and bring back rabbits, wild boars and the like, as well as some animals Mingnan couldn't name, but the meat was surprisingly delicious.

It was inconvenient for her to handle the animals, so Les cut them into pieces, washed them and sent them in.

Mingnan was worried about not having enough tableware before, but unexpectedly, Les had a collection of silver knives and forks in his small treasury, and even a jewel-encrusted sword that some unfortunate person had left in the forest.

When taking it out, Les was still reluctant to let go. His tail was curled tightly, and he refused to let go even when Mingnan reached out to take it.

Mingnan had no choice but to pull out the sword and said, "I can't use the scabbard, you can keep it, and just lend me the sword."

There was nothing on the sword. Les took a look, hesitated for two seconds, and nodded, "Here you go."

Mingnan took the sword and cut the meat into even-sized pieces.

Half of it was roasted and the other half was stewed, and with the addition of her secret seasoning, the aroma wafted from far away. The hungry Rice squatted by the fire and watched.

Mingnan took the time to look at him and joked, "Wipe your mouth, your saliva is about to flow down."

Les was startled and quickly rubbed it with the tip of his tail, but there was nothing.

He stared at Mingnan dimly, "Lie to me?"

Mingnan laughed softly, "It was just a joke."

She put a piece of roasted meat that was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside with a silver fork and fed it to him, "Try it and see if the seasoning has absorbed the flavor."

Les' eyes lit up and he swallowed it in one gulp, almost eating the silver fork along with it.

The meat of this animal is naturally soft and tender, and this characteristic is magnified after being roasted. The skin is crispy and fragrant, while the inside is tender. The juicy meat overflows with one bite, and the seasoning is spicy and moderately salty. The rich taste and flavor spread on the tip of the tongue, and Les felt like he had seen heaven.

The only downside is that there is too little of it and it’s not enough to eat.

He chewed it twice and it was gone.

Les looked eagerly at the fire in front of Mingnan again. There was a row of barbecued meat on it, constantly sending tempting signals to him.

"Is it delicious?" Mingnan asked in a low voice.

Les nodded without hesitation.

"Do you want to eat more?"

Les continued to nod.

"Then do me a favor."

Les nodded subconsciously, only to realize something was wrong after he nodded.

He raised his head and looked at Mingnan.

Mingnan smiled slyly, "You, the great Evil Dragon, would not go back on your word, right?"

Les snorted. "How is that possible? Tell me, what's the matter?"

He knew there was no free lunch.

Mingnan turned the meat over and said slowly, "It's not a big deal. I want to make a bed for myself, but it's very troublesome to cut down trees and then polish them. I can't do it with my current ability. I wonder if you can help me with this?"

"That's it?"

Les was surprised, he thought Mingnan was going to put forward some conditions.

Mingnan nodded. "The floor is too hard. It's very tiring to sleep on."

Les glanced at her shop, which was a little simple.

He nodded, "Okay, I promise, I'll do it after dinner."

Mingnan immediately took the barbecue down and placed it on the large leaves she had washed.

The barbecue was still sizzling, lying on the green leaves, it somehow had a refreshing feel and looked even more appetizing.

Les couldn't wait to swim to the table and stare at the barbecue.

Mingnan put on thick gloves and opened the lid of the porcelain bowl. The aroma of stewed meat wafted over the surface along with the hot steam.

Les was surprised again.

The meat was stewed together with fresh wild vegetables in a porcelain pot. The soup was absorbed just right and the meat had a rich and mellow flavor. This time she did not add much seasoning to retain the original deliciousness of the ingredients.

Les couldn't help but move forward, and this time he was really drooling.

It landed on his tail with a pat.

Les: “…”

He was so embarrassed that he immediately tucked his tail under his body and secretly glanced at Mingnan's expression.

Mingnan was busy serving the soup and didn't seem to notice.

Les breathed a sigh of relief and turned his head to look into the porcelain cup again.

How can she make this so delicious?

Les was confused.

He also roasted it before, why didn’t it smell good?

He raised the tip of his tail and shook his head.

"Okay, let's eat."

Mingnan said cheerfully, pushing a bowl of soup in front of Les, "Eat it quickly."

【Saves you from drooling later. 】

Les: “!!!”

She saw it?!

Their eyes met, Mingnan raised an eyebrow in confusion, "What's wrong?"

Les shook his head, "No..."

However, as he said no, his tail quietly moved to the side and curled up awkwardly.

Mingnan saw all his little movements and smiled without saying anything.

Neither of them spoke during the meal.

Les just ate, taking a bite of roast meat and a bite of stewed meat. When he was thirsty, he drank the soup. In a blink of an eye, he had finished everything. When he saw Mingnan took away the last piece of roast meat, he immediately rolled up the big tree leaves and stuffed them into his mouth.

He even licked his lips as if he was not satisfied.

Mingnan didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "If you like, go catch another one tomorrow and I'll make it for you."

"It's a deal!"

Les was afraid that she would regret it, so he spoke quickly, flicked his tail, washed the dishes, and immediately swam down from the table, "You take a rest, I'll make you a wooden bed."

Before Mingnan could speak, he disappeared in a flash.

Half an hour later, Les changed back to his original form and swam in with a large bundle of wooden boards of equal size and thickness wrapped around his tail.

Mingnan was surprised: "So many?"

Les glanced at her and said, "Make it bigger. The remaining part can be used as a cabinet."

As he spoke, he put the board down and whispered a spell. The board immediately flew up and fit together perfectly.

A large wooden bed big enough for three people was ready.

Mingnan blinked and felt like he was dreaming.

She ran over and touched the place where the wooden boards were joined. There was no trace of any kind, as if it had always been this long.

Les was really a man of action. He did what he said and immediately pieced together the remaining wooden boards to build a closet against the mountain wall.

He patted the side of the closet, turned around, lowered his eyes and looked at Mingnan without saying a word.

His face is full of the message: Praise me, praise me!

Mingnan immediately gave a thumbs up, "That's amazing!"

A hint of smile flashed in Les's eyes, but he pretended not to care and asked, "Anything else you need?"

"That's all. Thank you for your hard work." Mingnan stepped forward and stretched out his hand. Les bowed his head reflexively.

Then they both froze.

Mingnan looked at the hard and beautiful horns in front of him and thought: [Does he want me to touch it? ]

Les: “…”

It turns out she didn't want to touch it.

His face was hot, but luckily the dragon's skin and scales were black, so his blushing was not visible, otherwise he would have had to find a hole to crawl into.

It was all her fault for always touching his horns during this period. He had gotten used to it and would subconsciously lower his head when he saw her reaching out her hand.

Silence and awkwardness continued to spread between the two.

Les decided to lower his head, become smaller, and swim away quickly as if nothing had happened.

Before he took any action, Mingnan took his horn in his hand, rubbed it carefully, and sighed, "Your horn is really beautiful."

Les: “…”

After touching it for a while, Mingnan suddenly stopped and asked in confusion: "Why is the horn so hot?"
