Chapter 292 Weird Village Survival Guide 27
"There, catch him! Don't let him get away!"
"That Gao guy is there! Chase him!"
"He must know the whereabouts of those women. Don't kill him yet. Wait until you find those women."
"Fuck, fuck, fuck!" Gao Shuangbin cursed as he ran, "The ghost is still here."
He ran out from the path and bumped into Mingnan. He immediately winked at her, "Run! They're catching up!"
"I see. Here it is!"
A group of big bosses came over with flashlights in hand.
If you don’t know, you might wonder who is supporting them.
Mingnan was dazzled and asked through gritted teeth, "What's going on?"
"I don't know. When I came out to get my bag, I saw two men hanging around the door. They heard the noise and chased after me."
The two ran forward side by side. Gao Shuangbin looked at the bag in Mingnan's arms and said, "Let me help you get it."
"No, I can carry it." Mingnan said, "It's probably because we were making too much noise coming and going, and someone saw us. The houses in the village are close to each other, so the news spread from one person to ten people, and from ten to a hundred people."
"Then if we run over there, won't we expose Jiang Man and the others?"
Gao Shuangbin looked back and saw that the group of people were still chasing him. The flashlight was shining in his eyes and he couldn't see their faces clearly. He could only see black silhouettes.
At that moment, he felt that those chasing him were not humans, but a group of faceless monsters.
Mingnan's mind was working rapidly.
Seeing a fork in the road ahead, she immediately pulled Gao Shuangbin and turned straight in.
"We are outnumbered and unfamiliar with the terrain. We are at an absolute disadvantage and cannot fight head-on."
She raised her head and looked at the endless forest.
"The mountain is large and the terrain is complex, so it's not easy to be caught."
Gao Shuangbin panted and begged, "But it's easy for us to get lost in the mountains. What if we can't get out?"
"We need to take it one step at a time, get rid of the villagers first and then make long-term plans."
"Hey, you——"
Suddenly, a man appeared in front of them, holding a wooden stick in his hand. When he saw them, his eyes lit up instantly, like a wolf seeing its prey, "Where are you running to!"
Seeing this, Mingnan stuffed the bag in his hand into Gao Shuangbin's arms, and instead of retreating, he ran towards the man in two quick steps, put one foot on the wall next to him, and flew up. He raised his long legs and pressed down hard on the man's head, knocking him to the ground. He snatched the stick from his hand and hit him hard on the head.
With a "bang", the man fainted.
Gao Shuangbin was stunned.
"Walk!"
Mingnan led the way with a stick in his hand.
The two of them twisted and turned in the alleys, shaking off the villagers. Occasionally, they encountered a few people blocking their way, but they were scared away by Mingnan's aura of "kill any god who stands in their way and kill any Buddha who stands in their way."
Anyone who insisted on confronting her head-on would be knocked unconscious by her stick.
Finally, after turning another corner, the roof of the village chief's house became vaguely visible.
Gao Shuangbin immediately yelled at the top of his lungs: "Jiang Man—Yan Zhen—take your men and run up the mountain, quickly!"
“Run!”
Yan Zhen and his men were hiding in a shed at the doorstep of the village chief's house, and they were a little uncertain when they heard the voice.
Yan Zhen turned around and asked, "Did you hear any noise?"
An Jiale frowned, "It seems like he is shouting something?"
“Could it be another wronged ghost?” Li Yiming was now like a frightened bird.
Jiang Man listened for a moment, then stood up suddenly, "It's Gao Shuangbin's voice!"
He walked out of the shed and his voice became much clearer.
"Jiang Man, run up the mountain, quickly!"
His face turned pale, and he turned to the people in the shed and said, "Come out quickly, something has happened!"
Yan Zhen immediately helped An Jiale up. Lin Jing stood up by himself, brushed off the dust on his body, and turned around to help Zhang Yan up.
"Where are we going?" Li Yiming asked nervously.
“Go up the mountain.”
Jiang Man walked into the shed and took a look around. This was where the village chief's family stored farm tools, grain, and carts. There were all kinds of things in there.
He quickly scanned the area, found a brand new sickle, weighed it, and said, "Let's go."
As soon as they walked out of the shed, they saw Gao Shuangbin and Mingnan running towards them. Several rays of light shone from behind, stretching their shadows very long.
Without saying anything, Mingnan just waved his hands at them.
Jiang Man understood and waved his hand, and everyone immediately joined the fleeing army.
Running to the fork in the road ahead, Mingnan led his men to turn onto a small road.
The path was overgrown with weeds. The further in we went, the taller and thicker the weeds became, so everyone couldn't help but slow down.
Jiang Man walked past them and came to the front, "I'll lead the way."
The sickle he had just found came in handy. He swung the sickle as he walked, quickly cutting all the grass blocking the road.
After the rain, the sky cleared up, the clouds parted and the moon appeared, shining its bright light over the mountains and forests, illuminating their way forward.
Because everyone was too nervous, no one said a word and they all ran forward with all their strength.
For a moment, the only sounds were the swish of the sickle mowing the grass and the clatter of footsteps.
After a while, I heard villagers shouting from behind and the light of flashlights swept back and forth in the woods.
Lin Jing's eyes were slashed and he couldn't see clearly. He tripped over a stone and almost fell. Mingnan pulled him back and said, "Be careful."
"Thank you, Sister Nan."
Lin Jing was still in shock and blinked quickly.
They walked along the rugged mountain road, going deep into the forest.
There was no pattern or direction, and he chose to walk in places that were difficult to walk on. After a while, he left his pursuers behind.
We wandered around in the mountains for nearly half an hour until we were all too tired to walk.
Mountain roads are different from flat land, especially undeveloped mountains like this, which are rugged and steep, and not only require physical strength but also mental effort.
Even Mingnan found it a bit too much.
She was basically busy that night.
Yan Zhen wiped the sweat from his forehead, held on to the tree trunk, straightened up and said, "They haven't caught up with us yet, let's take a break."
"I really can't walk anymore."
Gao Shuangbin was breathing heavily, his back against the tree trunk. He paused for a long time before he raised his hand to wipe the sweat off his face, pulled up his trousers, and sat down directly on the grass.
Seeing this, Lin Jing said worriedly, "Won't you get soaked if you sit like this?"
Gao Shuangbin plucked off a leaf fiercely and said through gritted teeth: "I can hardly survive, why should I care whether my butt is wet or not."
The words may be harsh, but the truth is there.
Lin Jing thought so too and simply sat down.
Her legs were weak and she couldn't stand any longer.
An Jiale and Zhang Yan also sat down beside her.
Mingnan didn't sit down. She stood a few steps away, staring at what was happening in the forest.
Jiang Man walked up to her with a sickle in hand and asked in a low voice, "Are you okay?"
Mingnan nodded, "Not bad."
Jiang Man shook his arms and whispered, "We don't know when the villagers will leave, but we can't stay in the mountains forever. We have to find a way to lure the villagers away."
Mingnan vaguely heard something different. She tilted her head to look at him, then glanced at the crowd behind him. Seeing that they were not looking in her direction, she whispered in his ear, "What are your plans?"
