Chapter 169
After exiting the live stream, Qin Su stretched and instinctively wanted to call out to Ye Yan, but then realized that Ye Yan hadn't appeared yet.
She paused for a moment, then asked the cat beside her, "Did you keep an eye on Ye Yan's soul this time?"
The cat jumped into her arms: "Meow~ I didn't see anything, it was gone in an instant."
This answer was exactly what Qin Su expected.
She pinched the cat's paw pads: "Never mind, we can't figure out his strange behavior in a short time. Let's wait for him to come to me."
Qin Su briefly pondered the question before going to sleep, wondering what Ye Yan's true identity was this time.
Traveling through the miniature worlds was quite exhausting, and she soon fell into a deep sleep.
Qin Su was awakened by thunder in the middle of the night. She propped herself up on her arm and checked the time.
2:30 a.m.
She tilted her head and listened carefully to the sounds outside.
The cat was half asleep beside her pillow. Sensing her movement, it meowed, "Susu, what's wrong... It's raining so hard outside."
"The living room window is open." Qin Su patted its head and made up an excuse. "I'll go check it."
She vaguely heard something tapping on the window.
Raindrops? Hail?
Or did I see a ghost on my very first day here?
Qin Su snapped her fingers, and the living room light turned on with a "snap," illuminating the room as if it were daytime.
The window slowly opened, and the sound of the torrential rain outside instantly became clearer and more resonant. Raindrops and coolness drifted in unhindered with the wind.
The night sky was pitch black, and there was nothing there.
The sound I just heard has disappeared.
Qin Su's eyebrows twitched slightly. She stretched out her right hand to the window and slowly moved her fingers a few times in the rain.
A bolt of lightning struck the night, illuminating the gloomy area.
In the bright white light, a hidden creature suddenly leaped up, its crimson pupils snapping closer as it headed straight for Qin Su.
Qin Su twisted her wrist and firmly grasped it.
"Huh? It's not a snake?" Qin Su was surprised because the texture was different from what she had imagined.
The moment the creature lunged at her, Qin Su recognized it as a long, soft creature. She initially thought it was a snake, but upon grasping its body, she discovered that it didn't feel like the sticky, soft texture of a snake. Instead, it was rough, slightly hard, and quite resilient.
She rubbed it with her fingertips, then carried it back indoors and examined it carefully under the light.
With a black back, silver belly, crimson eyes, and two small antlers on its head that resemble deer antlers, each about a meter long, and covered in scales, it actually looks quite delicate and cute.
Most importantly, it has claws.
Obviously, snakes cannot have claws.
The only one that looks like a snake, with claws and horns, is...
"dragon?"
After staring at Qin Su for two seconds with his crimson pupils, Xiao Long suddenly nuzzled her fingers with his head and said in a deep, muffled voice, "Xiangxiang!"
Qin Su: "?"
She pulled Xiaolong closer and asked, "What did you say?"
Xiao Long, still dizzy, said, "Xiangxiang, find Xiangxiang..."
Qin Su thought to herself, "Why does this dragon seem to have some intellectual problems?"
She didn't feel threatened and let go of her hand: "You've got the wrong person. Fly away by yourself."
To everyone's surprise, when Qin Su let go, the little dragon not only didn't fly out the window, but instead flew towards her at lightning speed.
Qin Su didn't move, wanting to see what it was going to do.
Little Dragon landed on her shoulder with a thud, nuzzled her collarbone, and then, like a drunkard, slid down her pajamas collar with a soft slurp.
Qin Su had never encountered anything like this in hundreds of years. Caught off guard, his expression changed.
She immediately grabbed the dragon by the tail and pulled it out.
Xiao Long shook his head in her palm, his eyes seemingly unfocused: "Xiangxiang."
Qin Su coldly asked, "A male?"
Xiao Long's response remained the same: "Xiangxiang."
Qin Su: "Can dragons be castrated too?"
As she spoke, she moved her finger, seemingly preparing to search for the dragon's vital parts.
But Xiaolong didn't dodge at all, seemingly oblivious. As soon as Qin Su moved her hand away, it immediately stretched its neck forward again, trying to entangle Qin Su.
Qin Su pinched its head again.
"Is he really stupid?" she examined him suspiciously.
Xiao Long blinked his red eyes, staring intently at her, before slowly saying after a long while, "I didn't make a mistake."
His words are incoherent.
Qin Su was taken aback for a moment, then realized that it was answering a question she had asked a few minutes earlier.
Qin Su: "..."
There's definitely something wrong with his IQ.
But it's good that they know to reply; at least we can communicate.
Qin Su placed it on the sofa to stop it from clinging to her again: "Answer my question first, or I'll throw you out."
Xiao Long hesitated for a few seconds, then reluctantly stayed coiled up in place.
Qin Su kept some distance from it to better observe it.
"What are you doing sneaking around my window in the middle of the night?"
Xiao Long's mind was still a mess, but he subconsciously knew that "sneaky" was not a good word, and he vehemently denied it: "I didn't sneak around."
"Then what are you doing?"
"I'm knocking on the door, no, I'm knocking on the window." Little Dragon felt wronged, flew up and knocked on the window again with his tail. "See, I'm very polite."
The familiar slapping sound rang out, leaving Qin Su speechless.
"You came here at 2 a.m. and tapped my window with your tail?"
Xiao Long tried to fly towards Qin Su, but Qin Su blocked him with her palm.
He felt even more aggrieved, and the tip of his tail twitched: "Because I smelled a very fragrant scent."
The aroma was so enticing that he felt dizzy and his blood was boiling. He lost all sense of direction and simply followed the irresistible scent all the way here.
He initially intended to break through the window, but his jumbled memories reminded him that the rule for humans is to knock before entering someone else's home.
Xiaolong had no choice but to suppress his impulse and knock on the door with his tail from outside the window.
When Qin Su opened the window, he was momentarily confused by the fragrance and didn't have time to jump out immediately. By the time he realized what was happening, he hurriedly flew back inside, only to be caught by Qin Su.
Although being pinched was uncomfortable, it tasted even better when you were closer to Qin Su.
He could barely control his body and could only act on instinct.
fragrant?
Qin Su sniffed the air around her, but could not smell anything except for the dampness.
Where can you smell the fragrance?
Xiao Long stared at her longingly: "You, Xiangxiang."
His tail, as if it had a mind of its own, silently slipped off the sofa and wrapped around Qin Su's ankle.
Qin Su didn't shake him off this time.
She stared at Xiaolong, then suddenly a thought struck her, and she asked, "What's your name?"
Xiao Long asked blankly, "Name? I don't know."
Right, it seems like everyone in this world has their own name.
What was his name again?
He desperately searched through his jumbled memories.
I think it was called something like a tree or a leaf?
Qin Su: "Do you still remember where you came from?"
Xiao Long remembered this and immediately replied, "I woke up yesterday in a garbage dump, then I took a bath in the lake in the park, and while looking for something to eat, I smelled something delicious."
He doesn't remember anything before that.
