Early in the morning, just as dawn broke, Yu Chaoxi was woken up by the system.
"Host, wake up! That big idiot Huo Jincheng came to your house looking for you. He couldn't get in touch with you, so he just called the property management and is now waiting for a locksmith to come and unlock your door!"
The system got so angry it started cursing.
Yu Chaoxi glanced at the time; it was only six o'clock. She was instantly annoyed. Huo Jincheng really knew how to pick his time. Who would come looking for someone at six o'clock?
She sat up in bed, belatedly realizing that she was a human, not a cat.
She froze for a moment, her mind racing back to yesterday's events. She seemed to have fallen asleep in the car last night, and couldn't remember anything after that.
"Huo Linyuan has discovered that I'm not a cat?"
"What did you say? The clothes you're wearing were given to you by him. You were so drunk last night that you passed out before you even got back to the villa. Didn't you see that Huo Linyuan was watching you for half the night?"
Yu Chaoxi, "..."
Well, although turning back into human form at this point wasn't part of her plan, judging from the situation, Huo Linyuan seemed to be accepting it well? At least he could still hold her while sleeping.
The most urgent task is to deal with Huo Jincheng's mess. After all, it's a house that the original owner rented, and there are a lot of things inside. Yu Chaoxi doesn't want anyone to break in and rummage through it.
She glanced at the man whose arm was around her waist. As for Huo Linyuan, it wouldn't be too late for her to come back and explain after she finished dealing with things there. Once she got rid of Huo Jincheng, she should be able to return before eight o'clock.
She used a teleportation talisman to instantly move from her bed in Lanyue Bay to her own room.
The voices of Huo Jincheng and her agent Fang Tong could be heard coming from outside the door.
"What happened to Yu Chaoxi? She blocked me, and I haven't been able to contact her for almost half a month. I've come to see her several times, but no one answers the door. Don't you know where she went?"
"Young Master Huo, as you know, the company has cut off all her resources, so I just told her to rest at home. How would I know her schedule? Maybe she went to relax."
Huo Jincheng knew about Yu Chaoxi's family situation. She sent almost all the money she earned from filming and commercials back home, so she didn't have much money on her own and was reluctant to spend it. How could she possibly go on a trip?
He was very upset. On one hand, he was unhappy that Yu Chaoxi had ignored him for more than half a month, and on the other hand, he was worried that something might have really happened to her.
Yu Chaoxi changed her clothes, walked out, clicked open the door, and looked impatiently at the two people at the door, "You came here so early in the morning to disturb the peace. You better have something to do."
Huo Jincheng looked at the person leaning against the door frame in shock. He was surprised to find that, after not seeing her for more than half a month, Yu Chaoxi seemed to be... much better looking than before?
She bears some resemblance to Ji Xinxin, but now she seems to be much prettier than Ji Xinxin.
When the two stand together, it's immediately obvious who is the high-end and who is the low-end.
Yu Chaoxi's expression turned cold. "Get lost if you have nothing else to say."
She tried to close the door, but Huo Jincheng quickly stopped her. Seeing her indifferent attitude, the shock he had felt earlier completely disappeared, replaced by anger.
"Yu Chaoxi, what kind of attitude is this? If you were home, why didn't you open the door earlier? Do you know we've been knocking on the door for half an hour?!"
"You're clearly at home, but you're acting like you've disappeared. Anyone who didn't know better would think you were dead!"
Yu Chaoxi retorted without any politeness, "Don't you even know what time it is? If you came knocking on the door at 5:30 in the morning, who would answer you? I'm already being merciful by not calling the police to arrest you."
Huo Jincheng choked, then remembered that he had come to see her every day for the past few days, but she had never opened the door. He became even angrier. "What about these past few days? I've come to see you every day for the past five days, and you haven't opened the door for me once!"
"Oh, I remember you said online that we'd broken up, and that your current girlfriend is Ji Xinxin, not me. Why should I open the door for you?"
Huo Jincheng was furious. "I've wanted to explain this to you for a long time, but you blocked me and wouldn't listen to my explanation. I have no intention of breaking up with you!"
Yu Chaoxi smiled sarcastically.
Not breaking up? Wanting both, does he really think he's an emperor?
"Alright, alright, stop arguing." Seeing that the two were about to start arguing, Fang Tong quickly interrupted, "Young Master Huo, don't forget we have important business to discuss with Chao Xi."
Huo Jincheng barely suppressed his anger. "That's right, there's a reason I came to see you so early. It's important! It's urgent!"
Yu Chaoxi glanced at the two of them and stepped aside to let them in.
As soon as Fang Tong came in, he took out a contract. "After discussions among the company's senior management, it has been decided to restore some of your resources. I helped you secure this variety show a few days ago."
In fact, whether or not to stop or not to provide resources is just a matter of Huo Jincheng making a call to the company's senior management. Although the company is not under the Huo Group, it is a small company and they dare not disrespect Huo Jincheng.

She was speechless. Were they planning to just send her there?

Huo Jincheng reminded her, "Xin Xin and I will also be on this dating reality show. When you're on the show, just interact with the other male guests, but don't cling to me, okay?"
