Chapter 13 The Mad Tyrant's Beloved 13

Jiang Cainu had long heard that the current emperor was exceptionally handsome, and she had been looking forward to seeing him. Now that she had finally met him, she never expected him to be so handsome.

The crimson gauze robe embroidered with dragon patterns accentuated his tall and slender figure, deep-set eyes, and faintly upturned crimson lips, giving him an aura of malevolent evil that could bring calamity to the world.

The moment he looked up at Jiang Cainu, it was as if he were born with affection, making her blush with embarrassment.

"Jiang Cai Nu is indeed just like the one in the portrait, extraordinary and otherworldly."

Xiao Lanchuan spoke gently, and Jiang Cainu was overjoyed inside, but on the surface she pretended to be coy, pursing her lips and looking indifferent.

"Thank you for your praise, Your Majesty."

In that instant, Jiang Cainu had already thought about her own child.

Yes, it will definitely be a little prince.

She imagined herself holding the child, with Xiao Lanchuan holding her, and a large group of kneeling palace servants behind them—it must have been a beautiful scene.

"Let me help Your Majesty undress."

She mustered her courage and stepped forward, wanting to touch Xiao Lanchuan's clothes.

Unexpectedly, Xiao Lanchuan smiled and said, "No need."

Jiang Cainu was somewhat puzzled.

She looked at him with some confusion.

"Be good, go to the bed by yourself and cover your eyes with this."

Xiao Lanchuan handed her a piece of black silk.

His voice was gentle and sexy, and Jiang Cainu's heart fluttered. She obediently took the silk and went to the bed.

The smile in Xiao Lanchuan's eyes vanished abruptly after she blindfolded him.

It's so ugly and smelly.

I'm missing the sweet and soft little Nan Zhi again.

Jiang Cainu thought Xiao Lanchuan wanted to play some kind of game. She had already studied it before coming and was sure she could play it with him to her heart's content.

So, she gently loosened her clothes, bit her lip, and called out in a charmingly seductive voice, "Your Majesty~"

But she called out for a while without getting a response.

Just as she was about to untie the silk covering her eyes, she suddenly felt someone sitting down beside her on the couch.

"Speak louder, I want to hear if your voice sounds good."

Jiang Cainu: ?

Dai Xue was on night duty tonight when she saw Nan Zhi sitting alone at the entrance of Shangyang Palace. Somewhat puzzled, she asked, "Miss Zhizhi, you don't have to be on night duty tonight, why aren't you asleep yet?"

In fact, Nam Gyi did not stay overnight.

She spent almost every night with Xiao Lanchuan in Shangyang Palace.

But tonight Xiao Lanchuan went to Zuihua Garden and won't be coming back; the palace servants are already used to it.

But Nanzhi didn't seem happy. She hugged her knees and looked sadly at the palace gate.

She asked, "Dai Xue, do you have someone you like?"

Dai Xue shook her head.

Nan Zhi smiled bitterly: "I have someone I like, but he doesn't seem to like me at all."

Dai Xue asked, "Is it the Emperor?"

Nan Zhi nodded, burying her head even deeper, and Dai Xue could vaguely see the reddening corners of her eyes.

The cold wind was howling, and she was dressed in thin clothes, looking fragile and pitiful, as if she were about to break.

Dai Xue patted her shoulder and comforted her, "The Emperor is the supreme ruler; he can't possibly only like one person."

"I...I know all that," Nan Zhi sobbed softly, "but I still can't help wanting him to love only me."

“I admit I’m too selfish, but love is inherently selfish. The thought of him sharing a bed with another woman tonight makes me very sad.”

Nanzhi clutched her heart, and large tears fell from the corners of her eyes.

Dai Xue quickly handed her a handkerchief: "Miss Zhizhi, you mustn't get too excited."

Nanzhi wiped away her tears, took a deep breath, and said, "I know, I know."

As she spoke, she suddenly smiled and said, "It's alright, from now on I will treat the Emperor as everyone's."

She got up and staggered toward her room.

Seeing her like this, Dai Xue was a little worried and was about to chase after her when she vaguely saw a figure. She was so startled that she was about to bow when she saw the other person make a shushing gesture to her.

Nan Zhi didn't care who Xiao Lan Chuan favored; she did this because she wanted Dai Xue to tell Xiao Lan Chuan tomorrow that she was very sad.

Someone followed behind her. She thought it was Dai Xue, so she smiled and acted even more enthusiastically.

She returned to her room, lay down on the couch, and kept sobbing softly.

"I don't want to like the Emperor at all."

The air seemed to freeze for a moment.

Nanzhi had her back to the outside, somewhat puzzled as to why the other person hadn't come up to comfort her yet.

She continued, choking back tears, "I really, not even a little bit, want to like the Emperor anymore!!"

Nan Zhi's shoulder was suddenly grabbed, startling her. She turned around, her face pale, and saw a familiar, somewhat sinister and dangerous face.

"You're saying you don't want to like anyone anymore?"

Nan Zhi was slightly out of breath, her eyelids trembled, and a crystal tear fell down her fair face, giving her a broken and beautiful appearance.

She stared at him blankly for a few seconds, then suddenly murmured, "Is it just my imagination?"

She sniffed her red nose, closed her eyes, and opened them again. Sure enough, there was no one in front of her.

She lowered her eyelashes in disappointment, wanting to lie back down on the couch, but was suddenly startled by a flash of cold light.

She opened her eyes wide and saw Xiao Lanchuan sitting on the edge of the bed, holding the dagger he had used when they first met.

He peeled an apple, smiling as he looked at her.

"You said you don't want to like anyone anymore?"

Every word was laced with intimidation.

Nanzhi clutched her heart and shrank back.

"Half a month has passed, and Chen Huaizhi's treatment method has been completely ineffective?"

Nanzhi didn't speak.

Xiao Lanchuan laughed, "Then it seems that Chen Huaizhi is doomed this time."

As he spoke, he stood up, picked up the dagger, and headed out.

Nanzhi sat motionless on the tatami.

He watched as the man walked to the door and then stopped.

"Aren't you going to stop me?"

Nan Zhi obediently replied, "His Majesty said that Zhi Zhi is not allowed to care about others."

They're fairly obedient.

The coldness in Xiao Lanchuan's eyes faded, and he turned and walked to the bedside, looking down at the girl who had stopped crying.

Okay, I'm not so excited anymore.

Xiao Lanchuan suddenly reached out his hand to her.

Although Nanzhi was puzzled, she still extended her hand.

He pulled his arm forward, and Nanzhi threw herself into his arms.

She gazed at his approaching face, which appeared exceptionally alluring in the dim candlelight, like a bewitching spirit. She was mesmerized by his gaze.

Xiao Lanchuan admired her expression, his gaze moving down to her lips.

She wore no makeup; her lips were clean and had a pinkish hue, like peach blossoms in spring, making one want to taste them.

But he just didn't want to take the initiative.

So, he manipulated her into giving orders.

"To my honor."

He loved seeing her blush, yet dare not disobey his orders, desperately tiptoeing just to kiss him.

That's very interesting.

But when that warm substance was applied, he still felt a tightness in his chest.

She was clumsy, yet every move she made was deadly.

Nanzhi kissed him, albeit awkwardly.

He remained motionless. Finally, she was exhausted and just wanted to take a break when he suddenly lifted her up by the waist and held her tightly.

"You are too stupid, I will punish you."
