Chapter 514 My Zombie Wife 20

Ji Yuan sighed, endured the pain, stepped forward, dropped the umbrella, and pulled her into his arms.

Nanzhi's head bumped into her chest. She was a little dazed and looked at Ji Yuan, who wasn't wearing protective clothing. His clean clothes were soiled by the rain on her.

He'll be angry if she gets him dirty.

She panicked and tried to leave: "It's dirty, it's made dirty..."

"Don't move."

Ji Yuan cupped the back of her head with his large hand, raindrops falling through his fingers. There was no disgust in his eyes, only the feeling that his heart, which had been hanging in suspense, had finally returned to its original place.

Amidst the misty rain, Nanzhi nestled obediently in his arms. Leaning against him, she listened to his unusually rapid heartbeat and couldn't help but ask, "Professor, your heart is beating so fast. Are you sick?"

"Yes." Ji Yuan hugged her tightly.

He is sick.

He actually... he actually fell in love with a zombie?!

He is seriously ill.

Nanzhi became anxious again, "Then let's go see a doctor."

"I am a doctor."

Those who can heal cannot heal themselves.

"Then you should take a look at yourself..."

"Don't speak, be quiet for a few minutes."

Nanzhi stopped talking and just nestled in his arms.

In the sky, fighter jets kept hovering, and everyone watched in utter shock as their germaphobic professor hugged the dirty little zombie in the pouring rain.

They were comforting themselves.

"The professor is like this because this little zombie is too valuable for research."

"Yes...but..."

But the professor's leg is bleeding! Even if it has research value, there's no reason for them to be hugging!

That's not all, Professor Ji actually let that filthy little zombie ride in the helicopter with him?!

Everyone: 〣(oΔo)〣

The pilot was in the front row controlling the plane, while Ji Yuan and Nan Zhi sat in the back.

Nan Zhi sat obediently to the side, feeling dirty and not daring to approach Ji Yuan.

Ji Yuan patted the seat next to him: "Come sit here."

"But……"

"I said I'd come, so I came."

"Oh." Nanzhi slowly approached.

For some reason, she felt that the professor was acting a little strange, especially the way he looked at her; it was different from before.

Ji Yuan used a clean towel to dry the water on her face, then ruffled her water-drenched hair. He asked, "It's raining, why don't you find somewhere to take shelter?"

Nan Zhi said in a low voice, "The professor told me not to move."

It's the same answer again.

She is completely inflexible.

Ji Yuan wiped the bloodstains off her hands with a towel, watching her struggle to break free of the chains and the wounds she had inflicted on Jian Yihan, remaining silent.

Do zombies feel pain?

have no idea.

But why...?

Ji Yuan felt a sharp pain in his heart, and this pain became clearer and clearer.

Before we came to find her, everyone was saying that she might have run away long ago.

But he had a feeling that she was still there.

That cowardly zombie, however, stood there dumbfounded, waiting, because of just one sentence from him.

Foolish, yet so stubborn it's heartbreaking.

Back at the base, his leg injury was worse, and he was put into a wheelchair as soon as he got off the plane.

Others advised him to seek treatment, but Ji Yuan chose to bring Nan Zhi back to the villa first.

"Go take a shower, change your clothes, and then wait for me to come back. If I'm late, go to sleep first, understand?"

Nan Zhi nodded seriously, "Understood, Professor."

After watching Nanzhi enter the bathroom, Ji Yuan found two trustworthy subordinates to guard her before treating his wounds.

Fortunately, he didn't suffer too much; the wound just reopened, and after disinfection, stitches, some medication, and rest, he was fine.

Ji Yuan returned to the villa in a wheelchair.

By then, Nanzhi had finished washing up. He asked the others who were protecting her to leave and looked at Nanzhi, who was sitting obediently on the sofa without sleeping.

Why aren't you asleep yet?

She looked aggrieved: "I can't sleep if I can't see the professor."

After her bath, she had a familiar, fresh scent. Her hair, which she had learned to blow-dry herself, was not dry at all; it was silky black and cascaded over her shoulders. She had a very deceptive face, always looking very charming, yet she had a pure and innocent heart.

Ji Yuan patted her fluffy head, his tone gentler than ever: "I'm back, go to sleep."

Nanzhi lay on the sofa.

Seeing her like this, Ji Yuan realized that he should change her bedroom.

There are also bedrooms on the first floor.

He opened the door from his wheelchair, saying, "Come in and sleep here."

Nanzhi obediently ran inside, lay down on the soft bed, and happily rolled around.

After she finished hitting him, she remembered that Ji Yuan didn't like this. Startled, she subconsciously looked up at him, only to find that he wasn't angry at all, but was silently looking at her with an alluring smile on his lips.

Nanzhi was a little uncomfortable with him like this, and she stared at him curiously.

His gaze deepened as he looked at her, but she couldn't decipher what it held.

After watching for a while, she couldn't help but swallow hard. "Professor, I'm so hungry."

"Okay, I'll have someone send the food over."

Ji Yuan went to the living room, picked up his phone, promoted another assistant to assistant, and asked him to arrange for the delivery.

After making the arrangements, he surprisingly went back to comfort the little zombie, saying, "Wait a little longer, we'll be there soon."

But Nanzhi couldn't wait any longer.

She was so hungry that she kept scratching the bed, and her eyes kept glancing at Ji Yuan.

A moment later, she crawled from the head of the bed to the foot of the bed like a cat, licked her lips, and asked Ji Yuan somewhat cautiously, "Professor... can I have a bite?"

For some reason, Ji Yuan's presence made her even hungrier; she really wanted to eat him.

Looking at her like this, Ji Yuan recalled the beginning.

Thinking of her so-called "eating," the tips of his ears quickly turned red, and his tone turned colder: "No."

"Oh." Nanzhi moved away from him with some disappointment. "Then I can't see you. I miss you so much whenever I see you."

She buried her head under the covers so she couldn't smell his scent.

But she was so hungry, she was starving to death like a zombie.

"Hungry, hungry, hungry..."

Ji Yuan watched her muttering to herself under the covers, his thin lips slowly pursed, and finally he said with a hint of helplessness, "Come out."

Nanzhi quietly peeked her little head out from under the covers.

Looking at her adorable appearance, Ji Yuan raised the corners of his eyes, a hint of a smile appearing in them: "Come here."

Nanzhi obediently lifted the blanket and crawled to his side.

Thinking she had done something wrong, she cautiously asked, "Professor, is it not okay to get under the covers?"

Ji Yuan looked down at her, his voice a little hoarse: "Does it bite?"

Nan Zhi shook her head, her eyes as firm as if she were joining the Party, "I won't bite. A zombie that bites isn't a good zombie."

“Yes, you’re a good zombie.” Ji Yuan patted her head and hooked his hand under her chin. “You can’t bite her later either.”

"Ah, what...uh..."
