Chapter 27 The Mad Tyrant's Beloved 27

Despite the Empress Dowager's repeated shouts, Xiao Lanchuan remained lying in a pool of blood without any response.

The Empress Dowager was filled with remorse at that moment. She pounded her chest in anguish, her eyes brimming with tears, and she almost fainted.

How could she have believed Hean's lies and actually poisoned her own son?

Seeing that Hean was about to leave, she got up, picked up the sword on the ground, and tried to stab him.

But He'an swung his hand back, and the Empress Dowager fell to the ground with a thud.

"If you're so eager to die, I'll grant your wish."

Hean snatched the sword and slowly raised it towards the Empress Dowager.

The Empress Dowager closed her eyes. At this moment, she was no longer afraid. She even hoped that the sword would come down quickly and kill her, this damned person.

But the pain was slow to come. The Empress Dowager opened her eyes and saw a person standing in front of her.

That silhouette was exactly like Xiao Lanchuan's.

She glanced back at the ground, but Xiao Lanchuan's body was nowhere to be seen.

"You're still alive?"

Looking at the sword before him, Xiao Lanchuan's lips curled into a smile, much to He An's surprise.

He pulled the dagger from his chest, pressed it, and saw that the short blade had retracted, leaving only the hilt.

"Are you kidding me?"

"If not this way, how can I know the truth?" he said, looking at the Empress Dowager. "Isn't that right, Mother?"

The Empress Dowager felt a sudden panic when she saw Xiao Lanchuan's ambiguous smile.

She was both overjoyed that Xiao Lanchuan was still alive and afraid and guilty about her actions.

She was such a failure and so despicable as a mother. Would Xiao Lanchuan forgive her?

Hean was clearly shocked by Xiao Lanchuan's actions. He held the sword in his hand and nervously gripped the hilt.

Facing this future world hegemon, the imposing killing intent he inadvertently exuded was enough to intimidate Hean.

Suddenly, a large number of guards rushed in from outside, and Hean knew that he was doomed this time.

But if Xiao Lanchuan didn't die, the Yun Kingdom would be doomed. He gritted his teeth, raised his long sword, and thrust it at Xiao Lanchuan.

The guards behind him didn't move either, and He'an thought he really could kill Xiao Lanchuan.

Unexpectedly, before his sword could even pierce Xiao Lanchuan, he felt a sharp pain in his chest.

Xiao Lanchuan's dagger suddenly pierced his body, and he slowly lowered his head, looking at it in disbelief.

Isn't it scalable?

"Idiot, that one's right here."

A cheerful laugh reached his ears, and He An struggled to look up, only to see that Xiao Lan Chuan was holding the retractable dagger in his other hand.

He slowly drew his real dagger, intending to stab again, but then, remembering something, he impatiently withdrew it.

Hean lay on the ground and heard him say unhappily, "I promised the little mouse I wouldn't kill anyone, you got off easy."

Little mouse?

who?

As Hean was lost in thought, a sudden pain shot through his arm, and he grimaced as he looked at Xiao Lanchuan.

At this moment, Xiao Lanchuan was staring at him, his expression serious, as if he were thinking about something.

"A few light scratches on your body shouldn't kill you, right?"

As he spoke, he stabbed him several times in the thigh.

"Ahhh!"

Is this what you call making a few light strokes?

Hean felt like he was going to die from the pain.

Xiao Lanchuan was engrossed in his attack and didn't notice that He An's fist was slowly clenching.

When Nam Gyi arrived at Ham Hee Palace, there was no one in the courtyard.

She stepped into the hall and saw many guards gathered together, seemingly doing something.

She could vaguely smell blood.

She pushed past the guards and went inside, and was stunned by what she saw.

The Empress Dowager was seen slumped on the ground, her expression complex.

There was regret, guilt, fear, and terror.

Not far from her, the handsome man was half-squatting on the ground, a warm smile on his face, his eyes, which looked at the dog with such affection, were now slowly staring at the man on the ground.

This scene is quite pleasing to the eye.

If it weren't for that bloodstained dagger, excitedly thrusting in and out of the man's body again and again.

"His Majesty?"

Xiao Lanchuan was enjoying himself when he suddenly heard someone call his name.

He slowly narrowed his eyes and looked toward the source of the sound, his gaze slightly fixed.

Nanzhi looked at the unnatural crimson in the whites of his eyes and held her breath for a moment.

Xiao Lanchuan tilted his head and stared at the woman dressed as a palace maid in front of him. For some reason, his vision became somewhat blurry.

"Your Majesty, let's go back."

A palace maid stepped forward and, with audacity, took his arm.

He slowly pulled the dagger from Hean's leg and looked at her.

Damn woman, who gave her permission to touch him?

Just as he was holding the dagger, intending to chop off the hand that had touched him, the girl suddenly pushed him away.

A strong force pushed Xiao Lanchuan to the ground, causing him to hit his head and instantly clear his mind.

He subconsciously looked at Nanzhi and saw that Hean, who had been lying on the ground barely breathing, had somehow stood up unsteadily, holding a handful of white powder in his hand, and was throwing it at Nanzhi.

That was originally where Xiao Lanchuan was standing.

The powder was also sprinkled on him.

Nan Zhi was caught off guard and sniffed a few times before her vision went black and she collapsed to the ground.

He rushed over and hugged her tightly.

The surroundings seemed to have fallen silent.

The pale moonlight poured in through the window and fell on Nanzhi's face.

Her face was pale, but her eyes were fixed tenderly on Xiao Lanchuan.

She called him, "Your Majesty."

"Go and call Chen Huaizhi," Xiao Lanchuan shouted to the guards.

He turned around, stared at Nanzhi for a moment, and then raised his finger to gently wipe away the blood that had seeped from the corner of her lips.

Nanzhi smiled at him: "I'm fine, Your Majesty."
