The dinner was arranged at Kevin's Western Restaurant.
When Nanzhi arrived, Daju had not yet come.
The person in charge was a mature woman in her thirties named Wenli.
Nanzhi was texting Daju when she didn't get a reply for a while. Just as she was about to call, Wenli came over with a glass of champagne, tripped over a chair, and bumped into Nanzhi.
Nanzhi's phone fell to the ground with a loud thud.
The wine that Wenli was holding spilled onto her clothes.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to."
Wenli hurriedly grabbed a napkin to wipe Nanzhi's clothes.
"I'll do it myself."
Nanzhi took the tissue, picked up the phone, and found that the screen had turned into a split screen.
She frowned and tapped her phone for a long time, but there was no response.
She glanced down at her clothes, which were soaked with alcohol, and wiped them with a tissue. Her black dress was covered in tiny white paper scraps.
Wenli said from the side, "I'm so sorry, Miss Nan, there's a restroom inside. Let me take you there to take care of it."
Nanzhi followed Wenli to the restroom.
"Miss Nan, I'll be waiting for you outside."
Wenli closed the door and left.
Nanzhi didn't think much of it at first. She was washing the wine stains off her clothes with water when suddenly all the lights in the bathroom went out.
Darkness suddenly enveloped the entire bathroom.
Nanzhi groped her way to open the bathroom door in the dark, but the door was locked from the outside and she couldn't open it.
She called Wenli for a long time, but there was no response.
Nanzhi could only reach for the phone on the sink and laboriously open it.
After a while, the phone started responding again.
The darkness around her made her extremely uncomfortable, and she felt like a cat about to puff up its fur.
She opened the call and dialed the number.
The phone rang for a while before being answered.
Nan Zhi roared, "Big Orange, I command you to come to room 230 right now!"
There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone: "Zhizhi?"
A familiar voice came through the phone. She paused for a moment, then picked up her phone and saw Jiang Qingyan's name on the split screen.
For some reason, she felt a little wronged whenever she heard his voice.
"Jiang Qingyan, I'm locked in the bathroom. It's so dark in there, I'm a little scared."
"Zhizhi, where are you?"
"I am here……"
Before Nanzhi could finish speaking, the door was pushed open from the outside.
A sliver of light shone in.
Before Nanzhi could even feel happy, she saw a fat man with big ears walk in.
"Director Qian?"
Director Qian still had injuries on his face. He looked at Nan Zhi and smiled coldly: "Nan Zhi, you were the one who hit me that day, weren't you?"
Nan Zhi said indifferently, "I don't understand what Director Qian is saying."
“It’s fine if you don’t admit it.” Director Qian walked towards her step by step. “Since you ruined my plans, then you’ll take An Mu’s place today.”
As he spoke, he approached her with a lewd grin.
Nanzhi wanted Jiang Qingyan to call the police, but her phone unfortunately crashed again.
She gritted her teeth and looked coldly at the man who was several times stronger than her.
His voice turned cold: "Do you want to die?"
"To die beneath the peony blossoms, even as a ghost, is still romantic." Director Qian reached out his greasy, lewd hand to touch her. "Besides, it's not even certain who will die."
Director Qian had long coveted Nan Zhi's beauty.
But this girl has some connections, so he couldn't touch her before.
But he never expected her to ruin his good time. He couldn't swallow his anger without getting back at her.
...
Cheng Xu was already waiting in the emergency exit near the private room.
He was wearing a mask and fully equipped with protective gear, and his phone was recording video.
He'll secretly take pictures of him as soon as the money is transferred out.
Then I'll take a few more pictures of Nam Gyi.
Then he can use these photos to pressure Director Qian into promoting him.
A scheme that kills two birds with one stone—it sounds incredibly satisfying.
Just thinking about Nanzhi, whom I hadn't seen for over a month, I realized how stunningly beautiful she was.
A pang of regret flashed through Cheng Xu's mind.
What a pity, such a beautiful body, it's going to fall into the hands of that beast, Director Qian.
But it's alright, she deserved it.
The private room was very soundproof; you couldn't hear much noise.
This was intentionally set up by the restaurant, since some guests have unusual preferences.
Cheng Xu waited patiently.
About twenty minutes later, he suddenly saw a man wearing a black hooded trench coat walk to the door of the private room. The man had a tall and slender figure, and the hood covered his hair. He was wearing a black mask and black leather gloves.
Cheng Xu stared at his retreating figure, surprised, and shifted his body, accidentally bumping into the fire extinguisher beside him.
The man at the door suddenly turned around.
What kind of eyes were those?
His eyes were bloodshot, cold and ruthless, emanating a heavy killing intent.
Of course, that's not the key point. The key point is the vaguely visible...gun?! in the man's hand!
Cheng Xu almost cried out, but he quickly covered his mouth, shrank back into the corner, and didn't dare to breathe.
The door to the private room was locked from the inside.
Cheng Xu hid in the corner, listening quietly. The person somehow managed to open the door in just a few seconds.
The door was then closed, but Cheng Xu didn't dare to peek out.
In that instant, his forehead was covered in sweat.
After a while, he quietly peeked out.
Will this lead to someone getting killed?
He just wanted to act, he didn't want to kill anyone.
...
In the bathroom.
The wails continued.
"Didn't you like to bark? Why aren't you barking anymore?"
