Xiao Chengci reached out his hand, and Pei Zhi instinctively backed away.
She thought Xiao Chengci was going to slap her across the face.
Xiao Chengci was stunned for a moment, then he was so angry at Pei Zhi that he laughed.

"Are you planning to lock me up for the rest of my life?"
"Why not?" Xiao Chengci retorted. "With you here, no one will notice you."
"Alright then, whatever you want."
Pei Zhi had already decided to die anyway, so it didn't matter where she died.
If he died right under Xiao Chengci's nose, Xiao Chengci would be more likely to believe him.
Pei Zhi yawned. "I'm sleepy. I'm going to sleep now."
After saying that, Pei Zhi lay down, pulled the blanket up, and soon her breathing became steady.
Pei Zhi was taken out yesterday and slept all night.
I was only awake for a short while, why do I still need to sleep after taking the medicine?
