Pei Zhi had asked Emperor Pei for the Imperial Seal of the State several times before.
But whenever Emperor Pei acted abnormally, he would only kneel on the ground and beg for medicine.

Emperor Pei looked Pei Zhi up and down, as he had been taking pills on time every day for the past few days.
Emperor Pei also increasingly realized that his body was failing.
After taking these pills, their effects seemed less noticeable.
Emperor Pei then realized that all the palace servants serving him were unfamiliar faces.
He had never seen any of them before.
All the palace servants who used to serve him closely have disappeared.
"If Father wishes to go out for a stroll, I will accompany you?"
Emperor Pei asked directly, "When did you start plotting against me?"
Pei Zhi feigned ignorance: "What is Father Emperor saying? I don't understand."
"Chang Le, things have come to this point, there's no need for you to continue this act in front of me, is there?"
Emperor Pei shook his head as he spoke, "I never imagined that I, the Son of Heaven, would fall into the hands of a woman like you."

Pei Zhi stood up. "There's so much I can do. I'll be more like an emperor than you."

Emperor Pei sneered, "What, you want to kill your father?"
Pei Zhi replied innocently, "Of course not, Father, why would you think that?"
"Your subject has already made arrangements. Father will die at the hands of Second Brother. At that time, Your subject will kill Second Brother in the name of rebellion."
Pei Zhi turned and sat down in the chair. "As for Father's remaining princes, as long as they behave themselves, I will leave them a way out."
