"You're not in a hurry to pay it back. Ten years, twenty years, whenever you have the money, you can pay it back."
Pei Zhi's motives for opening this coffee shop were impure, and Hu Shi was afraid that the other owners would settle scores with him later.
They certainly won't get angry at Pei Zhi; the only one who will suffer is the unfortunate one whose house burned down!
