Mrs. Pei quickly tugged at Mr. Pei's clothes, "You've had too much to drink, what nonsense are you talking about?"
"Who's talking nonsense? Every time we were too busy with the autumn harvest, wasn't it Lei Zi who came to help?"
"All those chests and cabinets for the eldest son's wedding were made by Lei Zi's father, and he didn't ask for a single penny."
As he spoke, Pei's father patted his chest, "It's my fault for letting your family down."
Pei Wang glanced sideways at Jiang Qingyuan, who seemed somewhat stunned.
Pei Zhi patted Jiang Qingyuan's hand under the table as a way of comforting him.
Jiang Qingyuan stood up and said, "Mom, I'll go boil some water for Zhizhi. She needs to take a bath later."
Madam Pei hurriedly said, "Alright, alright, go quickly."
As soon as Jiang Qingyuan left, Pei's mother slapped Pei's father hard on the shoulder, "Are you trying to die? You say whatever comes to mind?"
"Little sister, go check on Xiao Jiang quickly, make sure he doesn't get upset."
When Pei Zhi arrived at the kitchen, she saw Jiang Qingyuan boiling water.
Pei Zhi didn't go in either; she just stood at the door and watched quietly.

Jiang Qingyuan threw down the firewood in his hand, feeling somewhat annoyed. "I'm not at peace with myself."
From the afternoon onwards, Jiang Qingyuan felt uneasy whenever he saw Du Lei.
When two men make eye contact, the other man's gaze is hostile.
Du Lei would occasionally mention Pei Zhi, and other things he didn't know.
Jiang Qingyuan isn't stupid; how could he not understand?
But Jiang Qingyuan couldn't afford to fall out with someone, and besides, Du Lei hadn't said anything particularly impressive.
Jiang Qingyuan, just like Du Lei, started to put on an act.
Let's see who can outdo whom. Anyway, he's Pei Zhi's man now.

"Can't you just lie to me?"

Pei Zhi's words almost drove Jiang Qingyuan to despair.
He wanted Pei Zhi to coax him, but he didn't want Pei Zhi to lie to him.
Jiang Qingyuan should turn to the side to make the fire burn even brighter.
"We've already registered our marriage and had our wedding banquet. How can you be so petty? How are other people supposed to live?"
"Others? Where are these other people?"
Pei Zhi made a careless mistake and blurted something out.
"Du Lei, look how envious he is of you!"
Jiang Qingyuan's tone was extremely bitter: "He envies me? I'm more envious of him. I've known you for years."
"If that's what you want to say, why don't you switch places with him?"
"And you, you live in the past, while he, you hold me to sleep every night?"
Jiang Qingyuan resolutely refused: "No change."
Pei Zhi walked over and patted Jiang Qingyuan's head. "Now that you think about it, you're not so envious of him, are you?"
"It seems so."
What's the point of Du Lei knowing Pei Zhi for so long?

After Jiang Qingyuan helped Pei Zhi wash up, he held her tightly in his arms.
"Honey, no one's next door right now, shall we hurry?"
Since they came back, the two of them have been behaving very well.
The main problem was inconvenience; Jiang Qingyuan was also afraid of being overheard, so he dared not do anything.

With Pei Zhi's permission, Jiang Qingyuan quickly took off his clothes.

Pei Zhi pursed her lips, trying not to make a sound.
"Xiao Jiang, Xiao Jiang!" Pei Wang's voice came from outside.
Pei Zhi tensed up, and Jiang Qingyuan gasped.
"Xiao Jiang, are you still awake? You haven't turned off the light yet."
Jiang Qingyuan simply replied angrily, "Brother, I'm not asleep."
"Lei Zi has drunk too much, and I can't take him home by myself. Can you come and help me?"
"Coming right away."
"Okay." Pei Wang scratched his head. Why did Jiang Qingyuan's voice sound strange? It was as if he was suppressing something?
Jiang Qingyuan wanted to continue, but Pei Zhi pushed him away.
"Hurry up, before he comes knocking on the door again."
As Jiang Qingyuan dressed, he sighed, "My second brother really has no sense of propriety."
"He's not married, how could he know so much?"
"Let's listen to Mom and find a wife for Second Brother as soon as possible."
