Mu Wenxi's labor arbitration application has yielded results. Her former company was found guilty of workplace bullying and paid her a sum of money. She happily went home with the money.
My good friend called just then: "Found a new job?"
Wen Xi: "My God, the timing of your call is too perfect. That company just happened to compensate me with some money."
Good friend: "Congratulations, want to get together?"
The two agreed to meet at the mall.
Mu Wenxi sat in a corner of the milk tea shop, and people would glance at her from time to time.
Soon a short-haired girl dressed casually walked over.
"Mu Wenxi!"
Mu Wenxi looked up, and a loud, boisterous girl rushed towards him.
She quickly replied, "Xiaoxiao, it's been a long time."
Xiaoxiao pulled out a chair and sat down: "It's been too long. You heartless bastard, I don't contact you first, and you don't contact me either."
Mu Wenxi said helplessly, "I was just entangled in a lot of trouble. You see, as soon as I got away, I came to find you right away."
Xiaoxiao: "Hmph, that's more like it. Shall we talk as we walk?"
Mu Wenxi got up and took a cup of milk tea: "I ordered this for you, it's your favorite."
Xiaoxiao: "Wenxi is the best. She remembers what I like to drink. By the way, what's the specific situation with your company? You didn't explain it clearly on the phone before."
Mu Wenxi spent a lot of time explaining the matter to her again.
Xiaoxiao: "Damn, what a trash company. Expose them to avoid trouble."
Mu Wenxi: "And that guy is really annoying. He comes to block me every day and insists that he was forced to do things by others, but he won't admit that he did them himself."
Xiaoxiao: "That's scary, you have to be careful."
Mu Wenxi: "It's okay, at worst I'll just run away to my neighbor's house."
Xiaoxiao: "Oh, something's up? Male or female?"
Wen Xi: "Of course it's a guy, and a cute little puppy at that. I can't bring myself to do it."
Xiaoxiao: "Tch, just tell me, when have you ever been in a relationship in all these years?"
The two had a barbecue and then went their separate ways.
Today, Mu Wenxi deliberately didn't drive, worried about parking difficulties, so she took a taxi back.
Walking down the street, she always felt like someone was following her.
But this feeling didn't last just one day. For several days in a row, Mu Wenxi felt that someone was following her when she went home, but when she turned around, she didn't find anything unusual.
Until Friday night, Mu Wenxi stayed at the company a little longer in order to finish up her work.
My colleague glanced at her phone, picked up her bag, and prepared to leave: "Wenxi, why aren't you leaving yet? It's already seven o'clock."
Wen Xi typed on the keyboard: "Almost there, almost there, just need to get this done."
Colleague: "Okay, I'll be going now."
"Bye-Bye".
At 7:30, Wen Xi finally finished getting ready to leave the office.
At eight o'clock, Mu Wenxi drove into the community parking lot.
She got out of the car and had just closed the door when she heard a series of footsteps getting closer and closer behind her. She immediately turned around and saw Anhe standing not far from her.
Anhe walked closer to her: "Mu Wenxi, I've already apologized to you, why won't you let me go?"
Not wanting to provoke him, Mu Wenxi got back into the car and locked the doors, which couldn't be opened from the outside: "What do you mean you won't let me go?"
Anhe walked to the car: "Because of you, I was fired from the company."
Mu Wenxi calmly took out his phone from his bag: "Oh, all I can say is that if apologies were enough, what would be the point of having police? Do you think you can just wipe the slate clean of what other people have done?"
Anhe roared, "I already told you they forced me to do it, they forced me to do it!"
Seeing that he was in a bad mood, Mu Wenxi silently opened her phone and sent a message to Song Xici. Afraid that the other party might not have seen it, she also dialed Song Xici's number: "So what do you want?"
Anhe took a few steps forward, laughed, and patted the car window: "Be my girlfriend, be my girlfriend, I've always liked you, be my girlfriend, and I'll forgive you, Wen Xi."
Mu Wenxi couldn't hold back any longer: "Are you sick?"
Anhe suddenly shouted and smashed Mu Wenxi's car window with one punch after another.
Mu Wenxi quickly moved to the other end, and seeing Anhe about to get on the bus, she got off at the other end and ran away.
Anhe followed closely behind her.
On the other side, Song Xici suddenly received a call from Mu Wenxi and discovered the message he had sent.
"I'm in the parking lot, and Anhe is chasing me."
Hearing the sound of shattering glass coming from the microphone, Song Xici's heart skipped a beat, and she rushed out the door.
He frantically pressed the elevator button, but the elevator wouldn't arrive for a long time, so he simply took the stairs. As he ran out of the stairwell, he ran into Mu Wenxi, who was running towards him.
Mu Wenxi: "Xi Ci, run! Anhe is chasing me!"
Song Xici saw a man not far away, and it was the same man from last time. He stood in front of Mu Wenxi and said, "Don't be afraid."
When Anhe saw that it was the same man from last time, he thought about the vast difference in their fighting abilities and turned to run away.
She clutched Song Xici's clothes, panting heavily: "He tried to block me and even smashed my car window. I've already called the police."
Song Xici's heart tightened, and he pulled her into his arms. After a while, he realized that she was alright.
Looking at her still-shaken face, Song Xici said, "You did a great job calling me in time. No matter where I am, I will come over immediately."
With a sob in her voice, Mu Wenxi then noticed that Song Xici in front of her was covered in sweat: "Hmm."
Anhe fled, and the two waited for the police to arrive and give brief statements. The garage also had surveillance cameras that recorded Anhe's actions throughout the entire incident, and the car had to be sent to a repair shop for repairs.
Song Xici helped her upstairs: "I'll take you to work during this time. You'd better buy some kind of stun gun for self-defense."
Mu Wenxi: "Okay, I've been having such bad luck lately."
Song Xici: "If you're scared, come to my house for a while and we can have a meal together."
Mu Wenxi thought it was indeed too late and readily agreed.
Song Xici brought over the food: "It's alright, I'll go with you to pray to Buddha another day to change your luck. Let's eat first."
Mu Wenxi stared at him for a long time: "Thank goodness you were here, otherwise I definitely wouldn't know what to do today."
Song Xici patted her head: "Don't be afraid."
Mu Wenxi couldn't help but praise her as she brought out the dishes: "You really are like a stay-at-home husband, hahaha, you really are so good at it."
Song Xici blushed deeply but ultimately did not refute him.
When Mu Wenxi woke up in the morning, she smelled a fragrance coming from next door, followed by a knock on the door.
She opened the door and found Song Xici bringing a breakfast.
Mu Wenxi: "What is it? It smells so good."
Song Xici: "Seafood porridge, I'll take you to work after you finish eating."
Mu Wenxi: "Your craftsmanship is excellent."
Song Xici smiled slightly as he watched her eat with great enjoyment.
The car stopped not far from the company.
Song Xici: "Slow down."
Mu Wenxi: "Bye-bye, be careful on your way back."
Song Xici: "Send me a message before you get off work."
Mu Wenxi waved his hand: "Okay."
