Song Xici gave a soft reply. The two were so close that he could smell the other person's pleasant scent. He leaned back slightly, his heart pounding a little, afraid that the other person would notice.
The little figure on the phone screen was killed before it could even react.
Mu Wenxi didn't sense anything unusual about Xi Ci at all; instead, she secretly regretted it: "Oh dear, it was so close. Come on, let me take you to match with a four-person team."
"good."
Song Xici coughed lightly to cover up his distraction.
The two were randomly matched with two teammates, both of whom happened to be male.
Mu Wenxi: "Let's jump into the warehouse."
Mu Wenxi had barely finished speaking when his teammates spoke up.
Teammate #1: "Hey, there's a girl here."
Song Xici spoke up promptly: "Come with me."
Teammate #1: "You two are together! Help me out!"
Teammate #2 remained silent, but the map showed that he had already jumped to another location alone.
Upon arriving at the warehouse, Mu Wenxi searched everywhere for weapons and plundered quite a few.
"There are a lot of people in the warehouse, be careful."
Sure enough, right after he finished speaking, he saw someone jumping around outside. Mu Wenxi shot and killed him, then quickly moved to another location.
Teammate #1: "This warehouse has so many supplies, but also so many people."
Mu Wenxi: "Don't get beaten to death."
Teammate #1: "Hey, thanks for the reminder, girl."
Songxi is located near Muwenxi, and currently has ample resources.
The circle quickly narrowed, and Mu Wenxi found a car and drove it to Song Xici's side: "Get in the car."
Teammate #1: "Hey, hey, wait for me!"
Mu Wenxi, without getting tired of it, turned back and gave the person a ride.
Song Xici: "Where are we going?"
Mu Wenxi: "Whatever, just plunder wherever there are villages."
The three of them drove and looted along the way, with teammate #2 stubbornly seemingly existing on another map.
Mu Wenxi: "It's the final round, let's get off the bus."
The three of them found a corner, got out of the car, and quickly hid in a nearby house.
Mu Wenxi found a tall building and lay down, looking around with a sniper rifle and a high-powered scope.
Song Xici: "There are people in the direction of 135."
Mu Wenxi: "Let me take a look."
Teammate #1: "Be careful, there are only two teams left."
Song Xici: "I have people here!"
Song Xici fired quickly, but the other side had teammates, so Mu Wenxi rushed in that direction.
"I am coming".
Teammate #1 also rushed in this direction: "No wonder they're a young couple, their teamwork is so good."
Teammate #2 appeared nearby without anyone noticing, and the team worked together to win the championship.
Before logging off, teammate #1 said, "You two lovebirds, add each other as friends, your skills are pretty good, let's play together next time."
Mu Wenxi and Song Xici looked at each other simultaneously, exchanged a glance, and quickly looked away.
Song Xici coughed, his ears turning bright red, and said, "I'm going to sleep now. You should go to sleep early too."
Mu Wenxi quickly returned to her room: "Okay."
Back in her room, Song Xici smiled slightly at her phone, while Mu Wenxi patted her chest, probably wondering why the other person's heart was pounding so fast.
The next day, Mu Wenxi told Song Xici the good news that she had found a new place to live.
Mu Wenxi: "I rented the house we selected yesterday, but the landlord said he wants to sign the contract immediately, so I've decided to move out in the next few days."
Song Xici was taken aback: "You're moving out so soon?"
Mu Wenxi: "Yes, it's very convenient for my company, and it's quite large. It's good to move there sooner rather than later."
Song Xici was somewhat absent-minded. He wanted to tell the other party not to move out, but he couldn't seem to bring himself to say it.
Mu Wenxi continued talking, even taking out his phone to show the other person a text message: "Over here, there is a large floor-to-ceiling window with a view of the sunset. The living room is large enough to fit a projector. The bathroom also has a large bathtub. There are quite a few rooms, though. Besides the master bedroom, there are two other empty rooms."
Song Xici smiled somewhat reluctantly: "Very good."
Mu Wenxi continued speaking while observing Song Xici's expression: "So, do you want to move in and be my roommate? Although I'm acting first and asking questions later, I still really hope you can move in."
Song Xici didn't react immediately.
The girl across from me said something incredibly pleasant: "I've lived in your house for so long and you haven't charged me a penny. You've even cooked for me for free. So, do you want to move back in now?"
Mu Wenxi looked up at the handsome man in front of her.
Song Xici paused for a moment, then said, "Okay, okay, I'm going to take a shower now."
After saying that, he immediately stood up, turned around and left, seemingly fleeing in panic.
Mu Wenxi shook his head, "He's really easy to tease."
Looking at the weather forecast, Mu Wenxi asked Song Xici, "Are you free tomorrow or the day after? How about we move in the next couple of days?"
Song Xici: "Okay, Saturday then, we can rest on Sunday."
On Friday, the two began to pack their things one by one. Mu Wenxi packed up her own things first, since a lot of the furniture belonged to the landlord and she didn't need to take it with her.
After living in this house for so long, all I had to pack were a few boxes of belongings.
She returned to Song Xici's place, intending to tidy up the second bedroom, but some boxes were blocking the way. She moved them aside, and while moving things, she discovered something.
She picked up the photo frame and looked closely. "Isn't this me?"
Why does Song Xici have my photo?
Song Xici brought over the things: "Is everything organized?"
He approached Wen Xi and suddenly noticed the photo in her hand. His expression changed; oh no, he had clearly put it in the box.
Mu Wenxi handed the photo frame to him: "How did you get my picture?"
Song Xici's eyes darted around in a panic: "I—I."
Mu Wenxi looked at the photo carefully: "This looks like it's from when I was in college, doesn't it?"
Song Xici was both scared and disappointed; the other party really didn't remember him.
Seeing that the other party did not answer, Mu Wenxi stood up: "Tell me, why do you have my photos?"
Song Xici said somewhat aggrievedly, "I took this picture when you came back to our school once, senior, you really don't remember?"
Mu Wenxi searched his memory: "I remember now, it was around that time."
Song Xici took the photo and put it back: "Hmm."
When he went to university, Mu Wenxi had already graduated. At that time, he had just arrived here and was unfamiliar with everything around him.
Mu Wenxi was an outstanding graduate who left school that year.
At the freshman orientation ceremony, as Mu Wenxi was speaking on the stage, the classmate next to him asked, "Hey, what's your major?"
Song Xici: "Computer".
His classmate noticed him staring intently at the podium and said, "Oh, so you're eyeing the senior? Let me tell you, her suitors are lined up to the Great Wall. You definitely don't have a chance."
Song Xici ignored the other party.
Song Xici didn't understand why so many people liked Mu Wenxi.
