Chapter 130 The Demon Lord's Little Darling 2

Xie Shanzhi was startled. He had no ulterior motives. When he heard that the other party was going to be rude to him, he could only stay quiet and dared not say another word.

On the other side, Granny Chen was calling out names from the roster. She called out "Xie Shanzhi" for a long time, but no one answered. So she simply took a pen and crossed out the three characters "Xie Shanzhi" from the roster.

Xie Shanzhi, whose name had been crossed out, boarded a vehicle with the others. It was pulled by a magical beast. Xie Shanzhi's eyes darkened; it was one of his kind, but they were not yet enlightened and could not take human form.

Warcraft seems to be born to be driven by humans.

The beast seemed to sense something and turned to sniff. The demon general lashed out with his demonic whip, and the beast howled and galloped away.

Several animal-drawn carriages set off together, passing many buildings along the way before finally arriving at a small courtyard.

The burly demon general gestured to a somewhat beautiful demon lord in front of the courtyard: "Demon Lord Shangshan, the people have been delivered."

Uesugi Demon Lord waved his hand, signaling the burly demon general to leave first.

"You all come with me."

The group followed Uesugi Demon Lord into the garden.

Uesugi Demon Lord: "You've all been staying here recently. I know many of you didn't come willingly but for the money. But don't worry, if His Majesty doesn't take a liking to you, everyone can leave peacefully after this month of choosing husbands. However, if His Majesty does take a liking to you, leaving won't be so easy."

These words meant nothing to others, but to Xie Shanzhi, they were like a bolt from the blue. He had come here to do menial tasks, but now he was here to choose a husband.

Everyone nodded and went to their rooms, except for Xie Shanzhi, who remained standing there in a daze.

Seeing that everyone else had left and he was the only one left, Uesugi Demon Lord thought there was something wrong with him, so he went closer to ask.

Do you have any other questions?

Xie Shanzhi raised his head and looked at the Demon Lord: "Demon Lord Uesugi, I came here to apply for a menial job and was assigned to the Spring Division, but I don't know how I was brought here by the Demon General. I realized that I had come to the wrong place. May I go back?"

Uesugi Demon Lord was first stunned by Xie Shanzhi's appearance. It was no wonder that the Demon General was mistaken; no one would have thought he was a servant.

He thought for a moment and calmly replied, "Fine, since I'm here, it's my fate. I'll just stay put. If I can get through this month, I'll get a thousand times more money than a menial laborer."

Xie Shanzhi: "But..."

Uesugi Demon Lord ignored what he said next and left directly.

Xie Shanzhi thought, as long as he could stay anywhere in the Demon Palace, so be it.

Seeing that all the good rooms had been taken, he calmly chose a more secluded one.

The servants quickly brought the food. Although the room was a bit remote, everyone should have the same food. The dishes were very plentiful, and Xie Shanzhi finally ate his fill.

As night fell, Uesugi Demon Lord, seeing that it was almost time, called everyone to gather in the hall.

There were about a dozen young men below, dressed in various clothes and with different appearances, but all of them were of excellent appearance. Xie Shanzhi stood in the back corner without saying a word.

Uesugi Demon Lord scanned the crowd, and everyone looked down, as if afraid of being chosen.

Were these people really all kidnapped?

A moment later, he casually pointed to a young man: "Tonight, it's you."

The man who was called out was named Xiao Su. He walked out tremblingly, his face somewhat pale. At first glance, he looked like a delicate young master from an unknown noble family. He followed behind Uesugi Demon Lord out.

The other men started whispering among themselves.

"Oh my god, he's so unlucky. He was chosen on the first day. I wonder if he can make it through."

"I heard that the Demon Lord's demon husbands used to be beaten half to death."

"No way, we didn't see any of them when we came in."

"They must have been beaten to death or left, otherwise why would they need to summon demons every year?"

Xie Shanzhi listened without changing his expression. If it were really that dangerous, why would so many people come?

Seeing that someone had gone to investigate that night, everyone felt relieved and returned to their rooms.

Having just completed her previous mission, Mu Wenxi arrived in this matriarchal fictional world, where she became the most powerful and influential Demon Lord. She was still somewhat unaccustomed to it.

As she got out of bed, the first thing that caught her eye was the magnificent golden ceiling. Even the bed itself was edged with gold. This enormous and incredibly luxurious palace could have made even a small animal lose its way.

As soon as she got up, a maid came in to help her change her clothes: "Demon Lord."

With the help of his maids, Mu Wenxi dressed and wandered around the vast palace alone.

Suddenly, a servant knocked on the door: "Demon Lord, Uesugi Demon Lord requests an audience."

"See".

Mu Wenxi sat on the highest chair, imitating the original owner's lazy and relaxed manner.

Uesugi Demon Lord walked in: "Your Majesty, the candidates for Demon Husband have been settled. Shall we begin the selection process tonight?"

Mu Wenxi casually flicked his sleeve: "You choose."

Uesugi Demon Lord cupped his hands in greeting and withdrew from the hall: "Yes."

When no one was around, she received the storyline of this world. It was a world where demons, humans, and beasts coexisted, with the majority being ordinary people, as well as demon cultivators, magical beasts, and orcs in human form.

Having learned of the original owner's wish, she said she would definitely fulfill it for her. As for the male lead, as long as he didn't bother her, she wouldn't actively seek him out.

Noticing the stickiness on his body, Mu Wenxi called over a maid: "Someone, prepare water, I wish to take a bath."

The servants changed the hot water in the bath, sprinkled flower petals, and stood by.

Mu Wenxi took off her clothes and stepped into the bath. A maidservant approached to help her wash, but she waved her hand and said, "Get out."

She doesn't have the habit of letting anyone see her naked.

The maids bowed their heads and quickly retreated.

Mu Wenxi leaned against the bathtub alone, her eyes tightly closed.

After being tidied up, Xiao Su followed the demon general as they approached a palace. Before they reached the entrance, the demon general stopped and said, "Go in."

Xiao Su looked up at the enormous plaque that exuded a slightly oppressive aura, with the three characters "Changming Palace" hanging above her head.

Xiao Su looked around and didn't see a single guard.

He could only walk into the palace by himself, open the palace gate, and dare not look up or look around for fear of seeing something he shouldn't. He had heard that the Demon Lord was ugly and had a bad temper, so he must not anger her, or the consequences would be unimaginable.

He buried his head and walked straight inside. He seemed to hear some noise inside, but without thinking much, he stepped forward.

Mu Wenxi was sitting comfortably in the bathtub, and was about to raise an arm to rub himself when he suddenly heard hurried footsteps behind him. He thought it was a maid and was about to scold her, but when he turned around, he met the person's panicked gaze.
