Mu Wenxi held Xi Changye's other intact hand and asked, "Aye, have you eaten?"
Xi Changye shook his head, and Mu Wenxi immediately ordered his subordinates at the door to buy a light bowl of porridge. As for Su Yanhe, she had long since disappeared.
When the porridge arrived, Mu Wenxi carefully helped Xi Changye up, scooped up a spoonful of porridge, blew on it, and held it to Xi Changye's lips: "Be careful, it's hot."
Xi Changye slowly drank it down: "Thank you."
Mu Wenxi shook her head and wiped his mouth for him: "You're welcome."
In the afternoon, the doctor came to change Mu Wenxi's dressing. Xi Changye gave the doctor a wink, and the doctor said, "Family members, please wait outside."
Mu Wenxi reluctantly turned back every few steps, looking at Xi Changye's pitiful eyes, and finally decided to wait outside.
Through the ward, Mu Wenxi could hear Xi Changye's muffled groans, and couldn't help but feel even more sorry for him. Just as Mu Wenxi was about to stay and take care of Xi Changye that night, Xi Changye said, "Be good, let them take you back."
Mu Wenxi: "But I want to stay and take care of you."
Xi Changye: "I'm fine. You're not used to sleeping in a hospital bed."
Mu Wenxi had no choice but to leave obediently. For several days in a row, Mu Wenxi took meticulous care of Xi Changye. Xi Changye wanted to tell the truth several times, but he was reluctant to leave because of this warmth.
Even though it was Su Yanhe who suggested it, seeing Xiao Mu's considerate manner and Xi Changye's enjoyment, Su Yanhe couldn't help but complain: "You're going too far. You could have just lied for a day or two, but you've been doing it for several days now. I feel sorry for Xiao Mu. If this continues, your injury will probably be healed by now."
Mu Wenxi had just arrived at the ward after taking leave when he heard Su Yanhe's words and immediately asked, "Do all injuries need to be healed?"
Xi Changye and Su Yanhe looked at each other in bewilderment.
Mu Wenxi narrowed his eyes: "What are you two hiding from me?"
Su Yanhe felt guilty: "It's nothing, it's nothing, Xiao Mu, oh dear, I just remembered I have something to do, I'll go first." The next second, Su Yanhe ran away faster than a rabbit.
Xi Changye coughed twice, and finally decided to tell Mu Wenxi the truth: "Well, Xixi, actually my injury..."
Mu Wenxi waved his hand: "Alright, stop talking."
Xi Changye was somewhat surprised.
Looking into his fox-like eyes, Mu Wenxi couldn't even muster the anger: "I knew it all along. Do you think I'm stupid? I've been taking care of you for so many days and I didn't even know how serious your injury was. But if you want to see me take care of you, I'll just go along with you."
Xi Changye hugged Mu Wenxi tightly: "I'm sorry, Xixi."
Mu Wenxi patted his back: "It's good that you're okay. You don't know how scared I was that day. Su Yanhe called but didn't explain anything clearly. I thought something had happened to you. Thank goodness you're alive. I just hope you won't do such dangerous things again, okay?"
Xi Changye hugged Mu Wenxi's waist: "No more, there won't be any more dangerous things in the future, everything has been resolved."
Mu Wenxi pinched his arm, which was still bandaged: "When can you get up?"
Xi Changye smiled and immediately got out of bed: "Now, let's go get discharged."
The subordinates called the doctor to untie Xi Changye. In front of Mu Wenxi, Xi Changye's arm was transformed from a large, thick, hammer-shaped arm into one that only needed to be covered with a thin piece of gauze.
Mu Wenxi was still somewhat surprised by Xi Changye's wound. Well, it was such a small wound, yet it had been concealed for so many days. He admired it.
As the two left the hospital, Mu Wenxi glared at the doctor before leaving. The doctor was innocent too; he had been intimidated.
And then there's Su Yanhe. Mu Wenxi had already guessed that this idea couldn't have come from Xi Changye himself. Just as he was wondering who came up with this terrible idea, Su Yanhe appeared again. As soon as he saw Su Yanhe, he guessed it was him.
Mu Wenxi shouted loudly, "Su Yanhe!"
Su Yanhe: "Hey, Xiao Mu, let's talk this out, let's talk this out."
Mu Wenxi: "You've corrupted our family's Xi Changye, and you still say that?"
Su Yanhe felt extremely wronged. What did he mean by corrupting Xi Changye? Xi Changye was already bad, he didn't need him to corrupt him at all. He was being wronged.
Xi Changye watched Mu Wenxi chasing after Su Yanhe with a smile. Su Yanhe ran and shouted, "Xi Changye, don't just stand there! Come and help!"
Mu Wenxi will not hold back.
Xi Changye laughed. How could anyone side with outsiders and not help their own wife?
Su Yanhe was punched several times, wincing in pain. Mu Wenxi finally got her fill of beating her. Mu Wenxi sat down, and from the relaxation between Xi Changye's brows, she could guess that Xi Changye had probably solved many things. She just felt a little useless, unable to help Xi Changye with anything.
Seeing her sorrowful expression, Xi Changye seemed to be able to guess what she was thinking: "It is my greatest fortune that you appeared in my world."
Xi Changye reached out and coaxed Mu Wenxi to help him change the gauze. Su Yanhe said, "Tsk tsk, you two are such a jerk. If you don't change it soon, the wound will be healed."
Upon hearing that Mu Wenxi was going to beat up Su Yanhe again, Su Yanhe shouted, "Xi Changye, when are you going to hold a wedding and marry this tigress?"
Mu Wenxi: "You're the tigress! Aye calls me a tigress!"
Xi Changye patted her head: "Sweetie, you're not a tigress. Help me change the gauze."
Mu Wenxi ran to the room to get the first-aid kit and peeled off the thick gauze from Xi Changye's hand, but the gauze was strange. When did it get so thick?
She looked at Xi Changye, who gestured for her to open it. Mu Wenxi removed several layers of gauze, revealing a necklace.
Xi Changye pulled out a ring from somewhere and said, "Xi Xi, I want to give you a grand wedding. Let's have a wedding."
Su Yanhe produced a ceremonial cannon from somewhere and fired it with a "bang": "Say yes! Say yes!"
Mu Wenxi understood what he meant: "Okay."
Although the two had obtained their marriage certificate before, they had never had a formal wedding. Mu Wenxi once said that he would wait until she fell in love with him, little did she know that she had already fallen deeply in love with him. Xi Changye's eyes welled up with tears when she heard Mu Wenxi's answer.
The couple's wedding was held in the spring. To ensure safety, Xi Changye bought a deserted island and thoroughly inspected every part of the island to ensure that no one escaped. He even spent a lot of money to rebuild a castle, with many people overseeing the process, and even the invitations had unique logos.
After being checked, each invited VIP arrived at the island on a private yacht and was invited to the castle. Xi Changye was dressed in a white suit, like a prince on a white horse, while Mu Wenxi changed her usual style and wore a black dress. Xi Changye said that this meant that they had entered each other's world.
