Chapter 253 My Boyfriend is a Ghost 6

Mu Wenxi boarded the bus alone and looked around. The man she had seen in the tomb was gone. She breathed a sigh of relief. When she got home, her parents were already asleep.

Mu Wenxi whispered, "Don't worry, I will take good care of your parents."

She lay in bed and quickly drifted off to sleep.

In her dream, she traveled to ancient times and saw a palace similar to the one she had seen in the secret room. Mu Wenxi walked around in the vast palace, but it was very deserted. There was only a man in a brocade robe, whose face seemed somewhat familiar to Mu Wenxi.

The morning sunlight streamed through the window and fell on Mu Wenxi's face. She was awakened by the warm light and realized that she remembered her dream from the previous day very clearly.

The man in the brocade robe was the very person Mu Wenxi had seen in the tomb yesterday!

Her expression was somewhat solemn. If it were the original owner of this body, she would think that the aftereffects of the secret room were quite serious, that she had even experienced hallucinations, and that she would never be able to go to the secret room again.

Unfortunately, she wasn't. She knew perfectly well that the man she saw yesterday wasn't a hallucination, but she didn't know why he appeared in her dream. She wondered if the original owner of this body was also scared to death because of the man she saw yesterday.

Was that man really a ghost?

As a robot, Mu Wenxi had always been a staunch materialist, but now she was somewhat uncertain. She was certain that she had indeed seen that person at that time.

As she was pondering, her mother knocked on the door, interrupting her thoughts: "Honey, don't you have class today?"

Mu Wenxi raised his head: "No, I want to rest at home today."

Mom: "Then you should rest well. Mom is going to work now. Your dad has already made breakfast downstairs. Remember to get up and eat."

Mu Wenxi: "Okay."

No wonder the original owner's wish was to take good care of her parents. She felt that the original owner's parents were so nice. She went downstairs to get breakfast, and just as she closed the refrigerator and was about to turn around, she heard Little A's shout in her mind.

Little A: "Boss, there's a ghost behind you."

Mu Wenxi calmly opened the refrigerator again and asked Xiao A, "What should I do? Pretend I can't see it? Ah, why is the ghost clinging to me? How many ghosts are there in this world?"

A: "No, I don't know how many ghosts there are..."

Mu Wenxi: "Then can we find out which ghost scared the original owner to death?"

A: "No, I don't know..."

Mu Wenxi was speechless. Forcing herself to remain calm, she muttered to herself, "Maybe I should just drink milk instead."

She took out the milk, closed the refrigerator, pretended not to see the male ghost, and turned back to her room.

She asked A very seriously, "My task is to prevent myself from being scared to death, right? Then look at how many potential characters in the story might scare me to death."

A: "The most likely candidate right now is the second male lead, because he is a vengeful ghost who has been around for a thousand years."

Mu Wenxi: "Then how am I supposed to know which ghost is the second male lead? And who is the ghost following me right now?"

Little A: "I only know that the second male lead is named Xiao Chang'an. I don't know what he looks like, and I don't know any other information about him. I also don't know who the ghost following you is."

Mu Wenxi: "Ugh, I don't know anything about how to do the mission?"

A: "There's nothing we can do. The original owner was scared to death. It's probably because only the original owner could see ghosts in this world, so no one else has any information related to the second male lead in their memories."

Mu Wenxi: "Okay, anyway, I didn't do anything wrong. As long as I pretend I can't see him, it should be fine, right?"

That night, Mu Wenxi dreamed of the palace again. This time, she learned the name of the handsome man: Xiao Chang'an.

When Mu Wenxi opened her eyes in the morning, she saw a handsome man sitting by the window and exclaimed, "How beautiful... this sunlight."

Mu Wenxi called out to Xiao A: "Damn, the ghost following me is the second male lead. Do you have any information about him?"

Little A shook her head: "No... I only know that he died alone in the end."

Mu Wenxi: "This is giving me a headache. Could he have been watching me since last night?"

Xiao Chang'an by the window was still wearing that brocade robe. His smooth hair was long and reached his waist. When the sunlight shone on him, even the strands of his hair were shining. His cold aura seemed to have weakened a bit, and his face looked a little more gentle.

Mu Wenxi forced herself to stop looking and got up to go eat breakfast, but her mind was filled with Xiao Chang'an's long legs.

Xiao Chang'an followed her out of the room. He looked at the strangely dressed woman in front of him. He had previously doubted that this woman could see him, but now that doubt had been dispelled. There are many people in this world who dress strangely like this; it must be their custom.

Mu Wenxi walked to the table and ate the breakfast her parents had left for her. How annoying, Xiao Chang'an kept watching her.

The woman in front of me was sitting at the table eating a pile of food. Her small face was able to swallow noodles that were bigger than her face, and she was slurping as she ate.

Mu Wenxi licked his lips. Xiao Chang'an kept staring at him. Did he want to eat too? Could he even eat it?

She grabbed the remote and turned on the TV, hoping to distract Xiao Chang'an.

The old man in front of her had clearly never watched TV before; he was immediately captivated and stopped staring at her. Mu Wenxi pressed a button on the remote, and the screen changed to the next one. Xiao Chang'an raised an eyebrow but wasn't scared.

Mu Wenxi tentatively asked, "Which one should we look at?"

Xiao Chang'an remained silent.

She secretly observed his profile. She had cycled through all the channels, but he still had no expression. Oh well, she'd just play one randomly. She tuned to a channel playing period dramas. That's it.

Xiao Chang'an had his back to Mu Wenxi and was facing the television; it was unclear what he was thinking.

Mu Wenxi quickly finished her breakfast and prepared to go to school. Before leaving, Xiao Chang'an was still watching TV. Mu Wenxi was relieved and thought that as long as he didn't follow her, it would be fine.

Yu Zhiyuan saw Mu Wenxi, who had arrived two days later, and asked with concern, "Are you alright? I thought you were scared."

Mu Wenxi: "It's good to go back. I was a little scared at the time."

Yu Zhiyuan hesitated, as if she wanted to say something but then stopped.

Mu Wenxi narrowed his eyes, a bad feeling creeping over him: "What do you want to do?"

Yu Zhiyuan: "We're planning to go to another place soon. If we can't find enough people, can we ask you?"

Mu Wenxi shook her head: "No, no, no, I really won't go again."

Yu Zhiyuan: "This time it's not scary, there's no chase, and it's not a tomb. It's just a Japanese-style emotional story."

Mu Wenxi: "What? I think Japanese style is the scariest. You guys are toxic."

Yu Zhiyuan shrugged: "Okay, then I'll ask someone else."

Mu Wenxi ignored her and hurriedly left, not knowing why the female protagonist of this world was so obsessed with secret rooms and adventures.

Back in the dorm, her roommate Dong Lihua looked at her and said, "You're finally back!"

Mu Wenxi: "What's wrong?"

Dong Lihua: "Did you go to the secret room with them?"

Mu Wenxi: "How did you know?"
