Chapter 275 My Boyfriend is a Ghost 28

Li Na also put her mind to work: "Maybe this way, focusing on just one thing can scare people."

It seemed that after Shen Jiaqi's experience in the theater, everyone had become much braver and dared to joke around in the haunted house. The surroundings suddenly became quiet.

Dong Lihua sighed: "I just don't want to be too scared."

Mu Wenxi noticed that Dong Lihua's hands were trembling; she seemed terrified.

Li Na pulled Dong Lihua's hand and touched it; it was stiff and cold. "It's okay. We didn't do anything bad. Even the scariest thing isn't as scary as the roller coaster that turned around."

After she finished speaking, she quieted down, seemingly comforting others while also comforting herself.

Mu Wenxi: "Nothing will happen."

Hearing Mu Wenxi's words was like a shot of adrenaline for the others; they exchanged glances and continued walking forward.

The surrounding environment became increasingly damp, and the ground beneath their feet seemed to soften. Mu Wenxi looked down and saw a grave right next to him. When he looked up, the flashlight shone on him, revealing countless graves densely packed together before them.

"My God, how come there are so many graves?"

"Look, there are words here."

Li Na: "What does it mean? This character looks so real, it's an ancient character."

Xiao Chang'an couldn't bear to tell them that the tombstones were real, but he did tell Mu Wenxi.

Mu Wenxi's legs buckled and he was caught by Xiao Chang'an.

Mu Wenxi relayed Xiao Chang'an's words: "These are the graves of soldiers. Many soldiers died on the battlefield in a battle, so later generations built these graves to commemorate them."

Dong Lihua: "How pitiful, so many soldiers."

As Mu Wenxi looked at a tombstone, he felt that the meaning of the words on it and the name on it were somewhat unusual.

Mu Wenxi: "Do you think this tombstone might belong to that girl with the bell from before?"

Dong Lihua leaned closer and said, "I think what you said is possible. The ghosts here must be related to the haunted house. Otherwise, they wouldn't have appeared here out of nowhere. And judging from the contents here, the tombstone must belong to that woman."

After several people shared their opinions, they reached a consensus that the tombstone belonged to a woman, but why would a woman's tombstone appear among so many tombstones?

They couldn't resist exploring the next place to find the answer. The group walked across the soft mud and slowly climbed the narrow stairs to reach the last place.

This place resembled the rooftop or attic of a haunted house, with a pointed roof. At first glance, the attic was filled with boxes. When the group went up to the attic and turned on their flashlights, they were shocked by what they saw.

What they saw before them were not boxes, but several coffins. Four coffins faced the entrance stairs, with the largest one in the center.

There was also an altar inside, with a portrait hanging on it. Mu Wenxi recognized it at a glance as the portrait of the woman with the bell.

Mu Wenxi: "This is a portrait of the woman with the bell."

Li Na: "But why are there so many coffins here?"

A voice came from not far away: "These are the coffins of my husband, my mother, and my husband's family."

Startled by the sudden, unfamiliar voice, Dong Lihua jumped up: "Who is it?"

The others also took a few steps back, trembling as they stared at the stairwell, unaware that they had bumped into the coffin.

A woman dressed in a wedding gown slowly walked up the stairs. She wore embroidered shoes, her long hair hung down to her waist, her voice was melodious, and the bells on her feet made a sound.

The group looked toward the bell on her foot, following the sound.

Mu Wenxi: "Are you who?"

The woman bowed, her eyes filled with sorrow.

Li Na couldn't help but ask, "Are you really a ghost, or a person in disguise?" because she thought the woman in front of her was so beautiful and elegant.

The woman nodded: "Don't be afraid, I just miss my husband too much."

Mu Wenxi: "Can you tell me what exactly happened?"

With a flick of her sleeve, the woman conjured up a series of images before everyone's eyes, playing out like a movie. As she narrated, the crowd learned the touching story.

It turns out that the woman and her husband were childhood sweethearts. On the day of her wedding, the man had to be sent to the front line to fight. Although the woman was heartbroken, she kept waiting for her husband to return. However, she waited for many years until she died, and her husband never came back.

So the woman's spirit refused to leave. She wanted to see her husband one last time, even though he was dead, and she had to find his grave. She wandered around, just to find her husband's grave. In the process of searching, she learned that her husband and all his soldiers had died on the battlefield.

Finally, one day the woman found him, but due to the changes of the times, the man's grave had long been covered by many layers, which was under this amusement park, so the woman settled down here.

She used to hide when there were tourists, so no one could see her. Now that the place is deserted, she can finally rest in peace with her husband. But then curious tourists came here, and the woman had to find a way to make them leave, which is why she hung bells on her feet.

After hearing the whole story, everyone couldn't help but feel sorry for the woman. However, the woman didn't think so. She felt that she was already very lucky to have had her husband for a few years.

Shen Jiaqi thought that the woman's kindness might mean she knew Xia Xia's whereabouts: "Have you ever seen a very cute girl? Her name is Xia Xia. Do you know where she is or what places she has been to?"

Ah Shui seemed a little embarrassed as he pointed to the coffin inside.

Dong Lihua exclaimed, "She's in the coffin?"

Ah Shui nodded: "I only came out when I noticed something was going on here. It seems I scared her, and she hid in the coffin, but I couldn't touch anything."

Mu Wenxi: "So your bell is to attract attention?"

She nodded. Mu Wenxi thought that there were big differences between ghosts, and this was truly a kind girl.

When the others heard Xia Xia inside the coffin, they hurriedly tried to open it, but the coffin didn't budge. They started to get anxious, and Mu Wenxi gave Xiao Chang'an a wink.

So while the group was pushing hard, Xiao Chang'an lent a helping hand, and everyone thought it was the result of their own efforts.

As soon as they pushed open the coffin, Xiaxia was indeed inside, but she seemed to be unconscious. The other friends worked together to pull her out.

Mu Wenxi: "Thank you."

Ah Shui shook her head. If it weren't for the woman who had broken in, she might never have come out again.

Mu Wenxi felt that the person seemed to be able to see Xiao Chang'an's appearance, and there was a slight sense of apprehension in her eyes when she looked at Xiao Chang'an.

Finally, unable to contain her curiosity, A-Sui floated over to Mu Wenxi's side and asked, "Is this young master your lover?"

Mu Wenxi paused for a moment without answering, but A-Sai took it as a tacit agreement: "Humans and ghosts are different, how long can you keep this up?"
