Mu Wenxi: "Okay, no rush, take your time."
Lu Heting: "Hmm."
Mu Wenxi: "Go ahead, I'll wait for you."
The receptionist brought over a glass of water: "Brother Lu, what's this?"
Lu Heting: "My wife."
Receptionist: "Wow, your sister-in-law is so beautiful!"
Mu Wenxi: "Thank you, you're very pretty too."
Lu Heting: "You guys chat, I'll be right back."
He went into his office, tidied up his things, and prepared to leave work, but the original female lead, who had been watching his every move, followed him in.
The original female lead looked puzzled: "Brother Lu, you're leaving get off work so early today?"
Lu Heting: "Yes, my wife is here. I'll leave work early to spend time with her."
Original female lead: "Wife!"
Brother Lu actually has a wife.
Lu Heting saw his wife on the sofa and shouted, "Wife, I'm ready!"
Mu Wenxi got up and left with Lu Heting. As she turned around, she saw the original female lead hiding not far away. Hmph, the original female lead doesn't resemble her at all.
She was a little angry and deliberately stepped on Lu Heting's foot before getting into the car.

Receptionist: "Okay."
The original female lead, seeing everyone enjoying their meal, secretly muttered to herself, "What's so great about that?"
Receptionist: "Thank you, Brother Lu."
"Brother Lu, your wife is here to see you."
"Brother Lu and his wife are waiting for you."
Gradually, the whole company started spreading rumors that Brother Lu was a henpecked husband, going home on time every day after get off work. Lu Heting smiled and said, "I'm happy to do so."
That day, Mu Wenxi was about to tell Lu Heting that he wouldn't be picking him up because the studio was suddenly quite busy.
Lu Heting spoke first: "Baby, the company is having an anniversary party tonight. Would you like to come with me?"
Mu Wenxi: "No, I'm a bit busy today."
Lu Heting really wanted to introduce Mu Wenxi to everyone around him: "Can I decline? Doesn't your wife want to be seen by others?"
Mu Wenxi: "You'll miss the party. How about I pick you up tonight, okay?"
Lu Heting readily agreed: "Okay."

The company divided the tables by department, and people from the same department sat together. The colleague who was closest to Lu Heting took the seat next to him, while the original female lead was a step behind and could only sit opposite Lu Heting, looking at him longingly.
He ate his food quietly, only drinking a glass when someone offered him a toast; otherwise, he never drank on his own initiative.
However, toasting is the most common thing in the workplace. You may not like to drink, but you can't refuse to drink. Many people at the table toasted each other one by one.
But when it was the original female lead's turn, she declined, saying she couldn't drink. Her male colleague next to her offered to drink for her, and everyone couldn't help but cheer her on.
The original female lead would occasionally glance at Lu Heting in a subtle way. Lu Heting naturally noticed this, but he frowned and said nothing.

The original female lead stood there awkwardly, stunned.
Lu Heting ignored her and sat quietly on the sofa like a child waiting for their parents to pick them up, without saying a word.
Suddenly, Lu Heting's phone rang. He pressed a button and answered it.
Mu Wenxi: "Lu Heting, where are you? I'm at the door."
Upon hearing that she had arrived, Lu Heting immediately stood up, muttering, "Wife, I'm here."
Mu Wenxi got out of the car and walked over in her ten-centimeter high heels. Lu Heting was squatting at the door like a little dog.
Mu Wenxi chuckled and called out, "Lu Heting."
Lu Heting immediately raised his head, his long eyelashes fluttering. When he saw that it was Mu Wenxi, he actually reached out his hand and said, "Hug me."
Mu Wenxi pulled him up: "Get up, hug me again."
Lu Heting was very obedient, and Mu Wenxi hugged him in his arms: "He's just like a puppy."
Lu Heting: "Wife, I'm being good, don't leave me."
Mu Wenxi: "Yes, I didn't leave you behind. I've come to pick you up. Let's go home."
Lu Heting obediently followed behind Mu Wenxi.
The original female lead, standing in the corner by the door, watched the two figures leave, lost in thought. Her eyes grew redder and redder, and she clenched her fists tightly. Did she have no chance anymore?
Mu Wenxi helped Lu Heting into the car and fastened his seatbelt: "Sit tight."
Lu Heting: "Sit still."
Mu Wenxi: "It's rare to see you drunk, it's a bit unusual."
