Chapter 43 Finding a Little Baby 11 - The Roller Coaster Incident

A: "Boss, this roller coaster is malfunctioning."

Wen Xi unconsciously gritted her teeth and immediately ran to contact the staff. The staff contacted the maintenance personnel as soon as they discovered the roller coaster malfunction.

The group of parents who were still in line gradually realized something was wrong, and bursts of crying gradually came from the roller coaster.

Tata was fastened in his seatbelt, holding onto the bar in front of him, and was having a great time in the little car when suddenly the roller coaster slowly came to a stop. He looked at the rising slope in front of him and was a little confused. Why was the car not moving?

His uncle held his hand tightly.

Parents around looked left and right, wondering what had happened since the roller coaster had stopped, and a hint of panic appeared: "What happened? Why did it stop?"

Why aren't you going up?

"Where are the staff? Is it broken?"

The children gradually sensed the tense atmosphere. Some of the older children were puzzled when they realized the car wasn't moving, but some of the younger children, infected by their parents' anxiety, slowly started to cry.

The crying grew louder. One child cried, and the other children followed suit. Some children hid in their parents' arms. Tata didn't know what was wrong. She turned to look at her uncle, her little eyes sparkling with questions.

Gu Ye knew that the roller coaster had malfunctioned, but he couldn't panic, because if he did, the children would be frightened.

He gently comforted Tata, "It's okay, the roller coaster just ran out of gas. Your aunt and uncle went to refuel, and it will be running again soon. Tata, wait a minute, okay?"

Tata knows that when the car runs out of gas, it needs to be refueled. Her uncle always goes to the gas station to refuel his car whenever it can't run anymore.

He wasn't worried at all, and even comforted the crying children in front and behind him: "Don't cry, the roller coaster is out of gas. It can't go up because it's out of gas, but it will have gas soon."

Parents comforted them, saying, "Yes, the car is out of oil. The little mouse stole it, so the car has no power. It will have more oil once the little mouse is caught."

The children miraculously understood and started chattering: "The little mouse loves to eat oil, and the car is out of oil."

A few of the slightly older children, comforted by their parents, felt that they were grown up and needed to be brave.

At the roller coaster queue, a bunch of parents were urging the staff to hurry up when Gu Ye received a call from Wen Xi.

Wen Xi: "The repairmen are coming soon. How's Tata?"

"Tata is a good girl, Tata, do you want to call Mommy?"

"Yes," Tata said, taking the phone with a hint of excitement. "Mom, the roller coaster is out of gas."

"Okay, Tata, don't rush. The staff will be here to refuel soon. Mom is waiting for Tata downstairs. Tata, do you want to eat?"

"I want to eat."

"Okay, we'll see it when Tata comes down."

Maintenance personnel quickly inspected the roller coaster, which had lost power due to its age and could not operate for a short period of time.

Staff immediately arranged for a lift to come over so that parents and children could get down, and also evacuated other parents who were queuing.

Parents carried their children down the stairs one by one, and the children innocently asked, "Uncle, hasn't the gas been filled up yet?"

The staff member was both amused and exasperated: "Yes, the roller coaster is getting old and needs a lot of fuel."

The children didn't cry or make a fuss; they were all very well-behaved.

Tata was carried away by his uncle, his mind filled with thoughts, while Gu Ye, who was holding him, finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Wen Xi, who was standing not far away, was holding a balloon and walking towards them.

Tata waves: "Mom!"

"Tata, this is for you."

"Thank you, Mom."

As an apology, the amusement park compensated them with the tickets, but the two adults were no longer in the mood to play any other rides. Their hearts were far from as calm as they appeared, especially Gu Ye's.

He would never forgive himself if anything happened to the little guy. To make it up to him, the three of them went to a children's restaurant to make it up to Tata.

Tata saw so many delicious foods that she immediately forgot about the roller coaster and started drooling.

When it was time to say goodbye that evening, the little guy refused to go with Gu Ye no matter what they said, and clung tightly to Wen Xi's pants.

He avoided Gu Ye's touch: "I want to be with my mother."

“Gu Ye, come pick up Tata tomorrow. Let Tata play at my house for a while today. She was scared during the day.”

Having no other choice, Gu Ye agreed, "Then I'll trouble you."

After returning home, he was afraid that his brother would worry, so he didn't tell Gu Lang about what happened today, and Gu Lang missed the opportunity to meet Mu Wenxi.

Although the Mu family's house wasn't a luxurious villa, they lived in a relatively nice area, surrounded by middle-class people.

She brought Tata home, and her parents were startled. As soon as her father opened the door, there was a little dumpling looking up at him from the doorway.

Wenxi encouraged Tata: "Tata, this is your maternal grandfather, call him maternal grandfather."

Tata called out with all her might, her little face flushed, "Hello, Grandpa!"

The father was a little flustered: "Hello, this little dumpling looks so cute."

Hearing the commotion, the shepherdess came over: "Who is this? Whose child is this?"

Tata: "Grandma, I'm Mom's child."

The shepherd mother couldn't resist picking Tata up and exclaiming, "Oh, he's so cute!"

"Is this the kid you filmed the show with?"

Wen Xi nodded.

Tata's parents had already heard about her background from her, which made them even more loving towards the child.

"I took my child to the amusement park today, but the roller coaster broke down, and my child got scared and insisted on coming back with me."

The mother was shocked: "Which amusement park has such poor equipment? Don't they know how to repair it? It scared our little darling."

The father was speechless. It had only been a short while and he had already become a little darling, yet he himself reached out his hand to Tata.

"Come on, Grandpa will take you to play, do you want to come?"

Tata stretched out her arms for her father to hold her.

The father took his child to the park downstairs and introduced him to everyone as his beloved grandson.

Some people wondered how the daughter of the Mu family could have such a big child after not seeing her for a while.

The father just smiled and didn't say anything, then walked away after showing off for a while.

"Tata, do you want to sleep with Mommy?"

Tata nodded.

Wen Xi took a nightgown from Tata's luggage; it was something Gu Ye had just sent over.

"Let's go take a bath."

Tata was excited as she entered her mother's room for the first time: "Mom, is this your room?"

"Yes, it's not as big as Tata's."

"It looks good."

Wenxi caught Tata, who was trying to run away, and put her in the bathtub. Tata had a great time playing in the water, blowing bubbles all over the floor.

Wenxi took the showerhead, adjusted the water temperature to a suitable level, and started showering Tata.

At night, Tata lay down next to Wenxi and asked him to tell her stories.

What story would you like to hear?

Tata: "I listen to everything Mommy says."

"Then let me tell you a story about a magical boy..."
