Chapter 46 Finding a Little Baby 14 - Going Home

After breakfast on the morning of the fourth day, everyone embarked on their journey home.

Before setting off, Wen Xi sent Gu Ye a text message, informing him of the estimated arrival time.

Airport.

Wenxi pushed her own suitcase with one hand and Tata's suitcase with the other, with Tata sitting on top of Wenxi's suitcase.

Gu Ye was waiting at the exit when he saw a beautiful woman pushing a cute little child out of the airport.

He walked over quickly and helped push the luggage. The good looks of the three attracted the attention of a group of people: "This family of three is so good-looking!"

"Tata, are you tired sitting up there, Mommy?"

“It’s okay, I’ll let him sit down, he’s not that heavy.”

Tata, clinging to the handle of her suitcase, looked back at Wenxi and said, "Mom, I'm light!"

"Hmm, Tata isn't heavy at all."

Gu Ye smiled helplessly and led the two to dinner: "How was it this time? What fun things were there?"

Speaking of fun things, Tata took out a sugar painting she made from her backpack: "Uncle, this is something my mom and I made."

Perhaps because it was autumn, the sugar painting hadn't melted.

Looking at the exquisite sugar painting in his hand, Gu Ye asked Tata suspiciously, "Did you make this or did your mother make it?"

Tata said confidently, "I did it too. I helped my mom make the sugar syrup."

Gu Ye raised an eyebrow and looked at Wen Xi. He knew this little guy wasn't that good: "Thank you, you drew really well."

Wen Xi: "You're too kind. Tata also made some, but it got eaten."

Tata shrugged: "Hehe."

The group walked to the airport entrance, where a black sedan had been waiting for a long time.

Tata sat between the two, swaying from side to side with her legs crossed.

Gu Ye: "It's still early, let's go have lunch first. What would you like to eat, Miss Mu?"

Wen Xi: "I won't choose, let Tata choose."

Gu Ye: "What would you like to eat for lunch, Tata?"

Tata thought for a moment: "Noodles."

Gu Ye: "Okay, shall we go eat the noodles that Tata used to love the most?"

Tata looked left and right, squinted her eyes, and smiled broadly: "Okay."

Gu Ye looked at the driver and said, "Go to Grandma Liang's place."

The car stopped at the entrance of a quaint alley. Gu Ye, holding Tata, gestured for Wen Xi to follow.

Hidden in the alley is a quaint and antique shop.

Gu Ye: "This shop has been open for many years and the food tastes very good. Tata really likes to eat the noodles here."

The three of them went inside, and an old lady came up to them: "Oh, Tata's here! Did you miss Grandma?"

Tata waved: "Grandma Liang, miss me."

Grandma Liang: "Little Gu, please come in and have a seat. And who is this?"

Gu Ye: "This is my friend, Tata's mother, Mu Wenxi."

Mu Wenxi: "Hello, Aunt Liang."

Grandma Liang was startled, but she didn't show it on her face: "Miss Mu, welcome. Tata, Grandma will go and make you something delicious."

The three of them entered a small private room with a four-person table, two people on each side.

Tata climbed off Gu Ye and onto the seat herself, patting the seat to her right: "Mommy, sit down."

Gu Ye smiled and said, "I'll just sit across from you."

She found it a little funny; Tata was becoming more and more attached to her.

"The food is here."

Tata was still a bit clumsy with chopsticks, and the noodles kept slipping when she picked them up.

Several times the noodles slipped off the chopsticks.

"Pfft," Wen Xi laughed.

Tata immediately looked over when he heard the voice. Tata was a little anxious. How could his mother laugh at him? "Uncle!"

Gu Ye: "Tata, do you need any help?"

Tata: "Yes."

Gu Ye took Tata's bowl: "Wenxi, you eat first, I'll feed him."

"good"

Tata ate with great gusto, swaying back and forth, occasionally pointing to the dishes on the table and exclaiming, "Meat!"

Gu Ye only started eating after Tata had almost finished eating. Wen Xi had also almost finished eating: "I'll feed him, you eat first."

Gu Ye: "It's okay, he's almost finished the noodles, and he can eat the vegetables himself."

The three of them ate all the dishes and noodles they had.

Tata clapped his hands: "No waste."

Wen Xi: "Tata is awesome."

After finishing their meal, Gu Ye drove Wen Xi home as usual. Wen Xi had just opened the car door and was about to greet Tata when she opened it.

Tata grabbed her clothes: "Mommy, aren't you going home?"

Wen Xi: "Tata's mother's house is right here."

Tata: "Why doesn't Mommy live with Uncle's dad?"

Wen Xi paused and subconsciously looked at Gu Ye, unsure how to answer.

Gu Ye was also a bit stumped and didn't know how to answer, so he could only try to appease Tata first.

"Mom is going to your grandparents' house and will come to see you in a few days. You go home with your uncle first. Don't you miss Dad, since you haven't seen him in a long time?"

Tata felt wronged but still wanted to see her father: "Okay, goodbye Mom."

Wenxi patted Tata's head: "If Tata misses her mother, call her. Bye-bye."

As the car drove away, Tata clutched the doll in his arms without saying a word. Gu Ye wanted to comfort him but didn't know what to say.

After a while, Tata raised her head, her eyes red: "Uncle, when can Mom live with us?"

Gu Ye sighed inwardly. The little guy was too fixated on this question. Perhaps it was because he had never had a mother since birth, which made him exceptionally clingy now.

I need to find an opportunity to ask Miss Mu if she would like to move in; it's only for a few months anyway.

Wenxi dragged her tired body home.

Hearing the door open, the shepherd's mother immediately looked over: "Xixi's back! Where's the little one?"

Wen Xi: "He went back with his uncle."
