The return journey was equally enjoyable, with everyone sharing memories of the three days on the bus and saying goodbye to each other at the airport.
Yu Zhou waved goodbye to his younger siblings with a sensible gesture: "Goodbye, everyone."
Jiajia said goodbye to everyone in a soft, polite voice: "Goodbye, Brother Universe; goodbye, Brother Gray Gray; goodbye, Brother Tata; goodbye, Sister Xuanxuan."
Tata: "Goodbye, brothers, sisters, and little sisters."
Grey and Tata boarded the plane hand in hand.
The two families happened to be from the same place. After taking a nap on the plane, Tata was full of energy again after getting off the plane.
Upon seeing her familiar uncle at the exit, Tata ran towards him.
Gray Gray's Mom: "Is he Tata's uncle?"
Wen Xi: "Yes."
Gray Gray's Mom: "Be careful on your way back. Gray Gray's Dad is here to pick you up."
Wen Xi: "Goodbye."
Gu Ye stepped forward and took the luggage from Wen Xi's hands: "Welcome home."
Tata couldn't wait to share the wonderful things that had happened these past few days.
"I rode a camel. My mom is really good at catching fish, really good at it."
Gu Ye looked at Wen Xi and explained, "We were the slowest in the water-finding competition, so we only got one pumpkin and two eggs. I was worried that Tata wouldn't have enough to eat, so I went down to the river and caught a fish."
Gu Ye praised her as if she were a child: "Hmm, very impressive."
Wen Xi glanced at him, while Tata, sitting in the middle, was still very excited and kept muttering to himself.
"So many stars," he seemed to remember something.
"Mommy's bag!"
Wen Xi handed him the schoolbag.
Tata rummaged around and pulled out a small camel, a small tent, and a sapling.
Tata divided the wooden carving in her hands and handed the sapling to Gu Ye: "For Uncle."
"Is this a gift for me?"
"Mommy, dig!"
"Thank you, Tata, I like it very much."
Tata then gave the camel in her hand to Wenxi.
Wen Xi: "The treasure we dug up, the camels were dug up by Tata herself, the saplings and tents were dug up by me and given to Tata, I never expected Tata to give them to you."
Gu Ye held the small sapling wood carving in his hand and touched it repeatedly: "It's my honor."
It was late at night when I got home, and the lights in the villa were still on. The butler came out when he heard the noise.
Tata called out sweetly, "Grandpa Butler."
Butler: "Second Young Master, Young Master, Miss Wenxi, welcome back."
Wen Xi: "You're still awake?"
Butler: "The second young master went to the airport to wait after dinner. I was a little worried when I saw that you hadn't returned yet, so the kitchen prepared a late-night snack."
Gu Ye looked at Wen Xi: "There's nothing to eat on the plane, right? Do you want to eat something before you rest?"
Tata: "I'm hungry."
Wen Xi: "Okay, let's eat something. Tata is hungry too, let's eat together."
The three sat down, and Wen Xi drank a bowl of white fungus soup and ate two pieces of osmanthus cake.
Tata got sleepy again while eating, nodding his little head. The two of them found it amusing, so Gu Ye took him to bed.
After finishing her late-night snack, Wen Xi prepared to wash up when Gu Ye came out of Tata's room.
Wen Xi: "Are you asleep?"
Gu Ye: "Yes, thank you for your hard work these past few days."
Wen Xi: "It's nothing, you're welcome."
Gu Ye looked down at the somewhat tired girl and, for some reason, reached out and touched her head: "Go to sleep, goodnight."
Wen Xi was also sleepy and didn't think much about Gu Ye's actions: "Good night."
Tata secretly opened the door and peeked her little head into the dark room.
"Is Mom still not awake?"
Gu Ye glanced inside and whispered to the little one, "Mommy is very tired, let Mommy sleep a little longer."
Tata: "Okay."
Gu Ye closed the door again and took care of Tata while she ate breakfast.
Tata: "Uncle, where's Dad?"
Gu Ye: "Dad went on a business trip, have you forgotten?"
Tata: "Oh, Daddy hasn't come back yet."
Gu Ye: "Dad works very hard."
Tata agreed: "Dad is the busiest and works the hardest."
Gu Ye thought for a moment and realized it should be evening where Gu Lang was: "How about we call Dad?"
"Um".
Gu Ye made a video call, and the other party answered it shortly afterward.
Gu Lang, who was still working, looked at his younger brother and asked, "You're back?"
Gu Ye: "You came back last night, brother. Are you still busy?"
Gu Lang: "Yeah, there's still something that hasn't been handled properly."
Gu Ye looked at the exhausted Gu Lang and said, "Take care of yourself and don't push yourself so hard. Tata wants to talk to you."
Tata, who had been fiddling with her phone the whole time, finally got a chance to speak: "Dad?"
Gu Lang: "Tata?"
Tata: "Daddy, you're being naughty, you should go to bed early!"
Gu Lang found it somewhat amusing that the little guy was already disciplining him: "Okay, Daddy will listen to Tata. I won't work today and I'll go to sleep right away."
Gu Lang: "Is Tata being a good girl?"
Tata: "Very well-behaved, Tata is especially amazing."
Gu Lang: "Hao Tata is the best."
Tata was muttering to her dad about what had happened in the past few days.
As it got later and later, Gu Ye said, "Okay, Tata, talk to Daddy tomorrow. Daddy is tired and needs to rest."
Tata immediately handed her phone to Gu Ye: "Dad, take a rest."
Gu Lang: "Goodbye, Tata."
Gu Ye: "When are you coming back?"
Gu Lang: "It may take some time. The situation in China is relatively stable now, but I need to put more effort into things abroad."
Gu Ye: "Okay."
Gu Lang: "What, you want me to stay a little longer?"
Gu Ye: "No."
Gu Lang: "Heh, I hope I'll hear good news from you when I get back."
