When Wen Xi saw the car rushing towards her out of the corner of her eye, it was too late. The moment she turned her head, the car was right next to her.
The next second, she was thrown into the air and landed more than ten meters away. Amidst the scattered screams of the people around her, Wen Xi gradually lost consciousness.
But the car didn't stop; instead, it drove off in a panic, scraping other vehicles along the way.
Pedestrians on the street were stunned by the scene and immediately called the police, surrounded Mu Wenxi, and summoned an ambulance.
The nurses in the ambulance put an oxygen mask on her.
"Keep going! Keep going!"
When Mu Ma received the call, she thought she had misheard. Her heart suddenly ached, and she dropped her phone. Her lips trembled.
Father: "What's wrong?"
The shepherd's mother said in a panic, "Xixi, Xixi was hit by a car and is being treated in the hospital."
Father Mu's eyes widened, his usual composed demeanor vanishing: "What? Which hospital?"
He drove his mother to the hospital.
Lanlan and Lvlv waited for a long time but still didn't see Wenxi. When they called, a stranger answered.
Lanlan suddenly grabbed Lvlu's arm, looked at Lvlu, and said into the phone, "What? Which hospital?"
Greenie: "What's wrong?"
Lanlan pulled her along as they ran, saying, "Come on, let's go to the hospital, Wenxi got hit by a car."
When Fu Yiwei received the call, he immediately dropped what he was doing and rushed to the hospital, quickly pulling up in front of the hospital.
The hospital nurse noticed that the man in front of her looked unwell and had pale lips, so she pointed him in a direction.
Fu Yiwei, covered in sweat and panting heavily, asked, "Mom and Dad, how is Xixi?"
The old woman, looking somewhat haggard, shook her head: "I don't know. When we arrived, Xixi had already been in the operating room for several hours. I wonder if anything will happen to her?"
The father hugged her and comforted her, saying, "No, our daughter will be fine. Don't think too much."
Fu Yiwei leaned against the wall, praying continuously.
"Didn't we promise to take you on a trip after the college entrance exam? Please, please don't let anything happen to you."
The family waited outside the operating room.
Lanlan and Lvlv also stumbled and rushed to the hospital, finding the operating room.
Greenie: "Uncle and Auntie, how is Xixi?"
The group shook their heads.
Lanlan paced anxiously, "We talked on the phone this morning before we left, why did it all suddenly turn out like this?"
Police arrived quickly: "We suspect this is a hit-and-run with murder implications."
The old woman was shocked and her body went limp: "How could this be? Who wants to harm our Xixi?"
Fu Yiwei pursed his lips tightly, his eyes cold and fierce, and he had a suspect in mind.
Blue and Green exchanged a glance.
Police officer: "If you have any suspects, you can tell us. We have already started investigating the escapee."
Fu Yiwei: "I thought of someone. He was my sister's classmate and was reported by my sister. I don't know if he was retaliating against my sister." Thinking of what had happened before, he told the police Luo Yang's name.
Lanlan and Lvlv also told the police about their suspects.
“We suspect it was her classmate. They bullied my friend at school before and were later disciplined.”
"Thank you for providing the information. We will investigate as soon as possible."
Coincidentally, they suspected the same person, and the police quickly identified the suspect.
Shortly after, the operating room lights went out, and Wen Xi was wheeled out of the hospital bed, her forehead still wrapped in bandages and her face completely pale.
The mother immediately stood up: "Doctor, how is my daughter?"
The doctor said, "The patient was lucky that no internal organs ruptured under such a heavy blow. He is now out of danger, but he has fractures of varying degrees, the most serious being a leg fracture, as well as some mild concussions."
Fu Yiwei leaned against the wall and breathed a sigh of relief. He was relieved that his life was not in danger. When he saw his sister in the hospital bed, he felt very guilty. He wished he had been the one to take her there today.
The shepherd looked at Wenxi, who was motionless with her eyes closed, and said, "Xixi has suffered."
Father: "We must find the real culprit; Xixi can't have suffered in vain."
Fu Yiwei looked exhausted: "You guys go back first, I'll take care of things here."
Lanlan and Lvlv went back first. They had stayed at the hospital for a day and couldn't stay overnight.
"Uncle, Aunt, Brother Wenxi, if Wenxi wakes up, you must tell us."
The shepherd's mother wanted to stay with Wenxi and refused to leave.
Fu Yiwei: "Dad, Mom, you should go back first. Mom, make something for Xixi to eat. She'll definitely want to eat what you make when she wakes up."
Mother Shepherd: "Okay, okay, I'll go back first."
Mu's father gave Fu Yiwei a few words of advice and then left.
Fu Yiwei took out his phone and made a call: "Keep an eye on this for me. He must get the punishment he deserves."
He brushed the hair from Wen Xi's forehead, took a deep breath, gently took her hand and held it, and unknowingly fell asleep by the bedside.
When Wen Xi woke up, all she saw was a bright white ceiling, and she almost thought she had traveled through time again.
Little A: "Boss, we almost lost our lives this time, but luckily I put a protective shield on you, otherwise we would have been in grave danger."
Wen Xi recalled the scene before she fainted: "Thank you, what's my current physical condition?"
Little A: "I have a mild concussion and fractures in both legs. I've blocked out some of the pain. I'm sorry, boss, but if you don't suffer any injuries, the world's consciousness might detect the anomaly and banish you."
Mu Wenxi: "It's alright, as long as there's no danger to my life."
Looking at the familiar head beside the bed, it was her brother. Wen Xi reached out and ruffled his hair, which immediately woke him up, his eyes bloodshot.
Fu Yiwei looked up and pressed the call button: "Xixi, you're awake? How are you? Is anything bothering you?"
Wen Xi shook her head: "Brother, why are you sleeping here?"
Fu Yiwei: "I want to stay with you, I'm sorry."
Wen Xi: "It's none of your business, it's Luo Yang's fault."
Fu Yiwei gritted his teeth: "The police have already gone to arrest him."
Mu Wenxi: "I didn't expect this person to be so vengeful, to go to such lengths. I was careless."
Mu Wenxi didn't regret revealing his true colors, but she did regret not using a safer method, at least to protect herself before taking action.
Fu Yiwei brought water and gently wiped Wen Xi's face and hands, as if she were handling a precious treasure.
He coaxed Wenxi by patting her belly repeatedly, saying, "Go to sleep."
Wen Xi: "Brother, you should go to sleep too."
Fu Yiwei lay down on the cot next to her and said, "Good night."
Wen Xi was so tired that she quickly fell asleep, while Fu Yiwei looked at her with tender eyes.
Around six in the morning, a ray of light shone into the ward, and Wen Xi woke up feeling somewhat embarrassed.
"Brother, are you there?"
Fu Yiwei woke up immediately. He hadn't slept much all night because he was worried about Wen Xi: "What's wrong?"
