Zhou Gan lost his patience. Without even closing the video conference interface, he got up and opened the door.
His slightly furrowed brows froze when he saw the person in front of him clearly.
Lin Zhenzhen was looking up at him with her big, round eyes wide open.
Her thick eyelashes were clearly defined, and they were rapidly opening and closing, like butterflies fluttering in the jungle.
Did I disturb your rest?
She deliberately lowered her voice, which carried a tenderness that was different from her usual tone.
A hidden corner of his heart was gently stirred, and Zhou Gan coughed lightly, his Adam's apple bobbing slightly.
"No, it's still early."
"I'm glad I didn't bother you." Lin Zhenzhen smiled sweetly.
She has a face that combines both aggressiveness and sweetness, and if she wanted to, few men could resist her charm.

She was smiling as she said this, and her tone was quite natural, but Zhou Gan still noticed her curled fingers, which were slowly wrapping around the hem of her skirt.

"We didn't talk about anything," Zhou Gan explained, almost as if possessed, as he leaned against the doorframe with his hands in his pockets.
"You care about that a lot?"
"I care a lot, after all, you're my... friend."
The girl sniffed, and when she looked up, her eyes were glistening with tears, sparkling and incredibly endearing.
Zhou Gan's face darkened visibly.
"Is this all you've come here to say?"
When he stood up straight, he was half a head taller than Lin Zhenzhen, with broad shoulders and a narrow waist, giving him a very imposing presence.
"No, I came to bring you this."
Lin Zhenzhen unfolded her palms, which were hanging by her side, revealing several crumpled bandages stacked together.
"I just found it in my suitcase. It shouldn't be expired yet, so I can use it for now."
"Keep it on to avoid getting it wet, but remember to take it off before going to bed."
Lin Zhenzhen grabbed his hand and shoved the band-aid into his hand.
"Don't work too late, remember to get some rest. I'm leaving now."
She turned to leave, but her shoulder was grabbed as soon as she turned.
In an instant, the world spun around.
Lin Zhenzhen bumped into a hot, hard chest, and her nostrils were filled with that familiar woody fragrance.
Zhou Gan wrapped Lin Zhenzhen up in a possessive manner and slammed her against the door.

"Look closely." Zhou Gan's voice was deep and hoarse, with a bewitching charm, lingering in Lin Zhenzhen's ears.
Lin Zhenzhen was speechless. The original explanation for the wound on her hand was something she made up on the spot so that she could hold the male lead's hand and enhance the plot.
Who knew this man would now take things so seriously and make such a fuss?
If she takes a look with a microscope, she might be able to see where the skin is broken.
Although that's what she was thinking, Lin Zhenzhen pretended to be serious, her eyes darting around.
"Found it, here. Does it hurt?"
She pointed at a deer and called it a horse, touched a patch of intact skin, and looked up timidly at Zhou Gan.
His originally sharp features appeared exceptionally soft under the dim light.
