Chapter 280 The Unattainable Beauty: Pure-Hearted CEO VS The Scheming, Weak, and Dramatic Green Tea Girl (12)

After lunch, it was still early, so Lin Zhenzhen went back to her room, drew the curtains, and slept soundly for a long time.

When I woke up again, it was already 7 p.m.

She yawned lazily, then got up and cooked a packet of instant noodles, driven by her empty stomach.

[Host, do you remember what you looked like in the first small world?]

Lin Zhenzhen was still a little sleepy, her eyelids half-closed as she waited for her instant noodles: "What does it look like?"

I remember you always get up at 6:30 every morning without fail!

"Oh." Lin Zhenzhen suddenly opened her eyes, got up and went to the kitchen to fry an egg for herself.

[Lack of ambition!]

“Now I can get up at 6:30 too.” Lin Zhenzhen flipped the golden-brown fried egg over. “It’s just that I can’t stay up at other times. Do you know about the quick transmigration syndrome?”

Unheard of!

"I've been using my brain too much; I need to replenish it." Lin Zhenzhen took a bite of the perfectly soft-boiled egg and exclaimed with satisfaction, "My cooking skills have really improved a lot lately!"

[Boasting!]

Lin Zhenzhen sneered, just about to teach this ungrateful little pig a lesson, when the phone suddenly rang.

It was the HR lady from Kangkong Pharmaceutical, whom she had contacted before.

"Ms. Aya, congratulations on passing the final interview."

"Really? I understand, thank you." Lin Zhenzhen was not surprised by the result.

"You'll officially start work in three days, with a one-month internship. Do you have any other questions?"

"No. Oh, wait, there is." Lin Zhenzhen suddenly remembered something. "I'd like to ask, does that private elevator in the corner require a card to enter?"

"You mean the private elevator that goes directly to the 56th floor for the CEO, right?" The young woman smiled. "That's right. Only people working in the CEO's office have special magnetic cards."

"I see." Lin Zhenzhen said, somewhat disappointed.

"And here's another reminder: although the chances are very low, if you see President Huo at the company recently, absolutely do not greet him first."

"Why?" Lin Zhenzhen asked, puzzled. "It would make me seem very impolite."

"President Huo likes to think while walking, and trying to talk to him will interrupt his train of thought. Besides, I heard he's been in a bad mood lately; according to the people upstairs, he's practically volatile."

"I understand." In short, he's an oddball, so don't get involved with him easily.

"By the way, do you know what our CEO Huo looks like?"

“Um…” Lin Zhenzhen didn’t know how to answer for a moment.

"If you don't know, you can search for it on an encyclopedia, and I guarantee you'll never forget it."

Lin Zhenzhen chuckled softly, "Okay."

For the next three days, Lin Zhenzhen lay at home like a corpse.

Eat and sleep all day, sleep and eat, living like a pig, happy as an immortal.

Thanks to Lin Zhenzhen's amazing appetite and honeyed sweet talk, she quickly became friends with the couple who ran the breakfast shop downstairs and was promoted to VIP customer.

"Little girl, why are you eating so little today?"

Lin Zhenzhen popped the last soup dumpling into her mouth, then patted her belly and pouted, saying, "I'm wearing a skirt to work today, and if I eat too much, my belly will bulge out. It won't look good."

The old woman shook her head disapprovingly: "Nonsense! You're so thin, you should eat more. Girls are cuter when they're fair and chubby."

Lin Zhenzhen smiled and her eyes crinkled: "Then, Auntie, could you pack me a serving of vegetable porridge, two tea eggs, and a fried dough stick? I'll keep it for my morning tea."

The system was completely dumbfounded: [They even have something like morning tea?]

Lin Zhenzhen leaped onto the bus and argued with the system amidst the swaying and rocking.

What's wrong? A day is divided equally between the morning and afternoon, why the favoritism? Afternoon tea is fine, but morning tea isn't?

The system was momentarily speechless, then looked for other angles: "[Your total cost from head to toe is less than 200, but your daily food expenses alone are 280. I've never seen a higher Engel coefficient than yours.]"

Lin Zhenzhen scoffed: "You have a problem with me spending Lu Yangyun's money? What? You have a crush on him?"

......

What a perfect example of "You're acting crazy, answering questions about the earth while you answer questions about the heavens."

The system was completely rendered speechless by her barrage of nonsensical ramblings.

But it wasn't just that; Lin Zhenzhen also lacked the strength to speak at this point.

She had intended to solidify her image as an inspirational and hardworking young woman on her first day at the company. She deliberately chose the most basic mode of transportation—the bus.

But to her surprise, the central section of the road was completely congested during the morning rush hour.

Slow down with every step, brake every half meter.

Lin Zhenzhen felt as if she were riding a baby stroller, not a bus.

Forget about the breakfast in her stomach, her brains were practically spitting out.

When Lin Zhenzhen got off the bus, she was unsteady on her feet, covered in cold sweat, and seeing stars. She was practically half dead.

Perhaps her complexion was too frightening, because even the security guard downstairs at the company couldn't bear to look at her.

"Miss, are you alright? Do you need any help?"

Lin Zhenzhen shook her head weakly: "It's okay, I'll rest here for a bit and wait for someone."

On her first day at work, Lin Zhenzhen hadn't received her employee badge yet, so she couldn't swipe her card to enter the office building and had to wait for the HR representative to come down and pick her up.

As she was resting, she suddenly spotted a familiar figure in the crowd.

Zhang Minglang hurriedly stepped out of the elevator, craning his neck to look around the lobby, as if he were waiting for someone.

A moment later, a delivery guy in a yellow shirt ran in.

Instead of handing the paper bag to Zhang Minglang, he bent down and explained something apologetically.

"Assistant Zhang."

Zhang Minglang was in a state of utter distress when he suddenly heard someone calling him. He turned around and found that it was the same audacious woman from a couple of days ago.

Lin Zhenzhen smiled and her eyes sparkled with laughter: "What a coincidence, we've run into you again."

"Hehe..." It's not a coincidence, it's just bad luck.

Zhang Minglang suspected that this woman might have some kind of special buff, because every time he saw her, nothing good ever came of it.

"I'm sorry, sir, please give me a refund. I will reimburse you for the meal."

Lin Zhenzhen then noticed dark streaks emerging from the bottom of the brown paper bag the delivery guy was carrying, as if something was seeping out from inside.

"Never mind, it's okay. Just be careful on your way back and don't be so careless again."

The delivery guy thanked him profusely and left, leaving Zhang Minglang standing there, distressed.

After thinking for a long time, he decided to drive to a restaurant in the north of the city to buy the porridge himself.

But just as he was walking out, someone next to him suddenly called out to him.
