Chapter 31 A Passionate Internet Tycoon vs. His 18th-Tier Celebrity Ex-Girlfriend

Zhou Gan was stunned. He thought he had misheard and asked again uncertainly.

Who are you talking about?

"It's a post from your ex-girlfriend." Lin Zhenzhen pulled out her phone screen and waved it in front of him. "Haven't you seen it?"

Zhou Gan took the phone, frowned as he looked at it, and when he looked up, there was a hint of anger in his eyes.

"Nonsense, when did I ever..." He choked for a moment, "...have that kind of relationship with anyone..."

"Never done that?" Lin Zhenzhen inexplicably liked seeing him like this, and deliberately asked him.

"How come this person knows you so well? He even said you have a good back and amazing stamina. Although you're a bit of an IT guy, you can beat most of the sports college students."

Lin Zhenzhen shamelessly read the original text aloud, and Zhou Gan's ears turned increasingly red, almost as if they were about to bleed.

"Enough!" Zhou Gan interrupted her. "You're the only ex-girlfriend I've ever had, so this can only have been written by you."

He leaned down, grabbed Lin Zhenzhen with his back, and made her lie back on the sofa: "You want to take legal action or reach a private settlement regarding the rumors about my privacy circulating online?"

The two were very close, and as Lin Zhenzhen looked into his eyes, her heart began to race involuntarily.

She knew, of course, that the original owner and Zhou Gan's physical contact before this was limited to holding hands, but after she arrived, the two were always kissing and hugging, which was a significant breakthrough.

Although Lin Zhenzhen likes to flirt, she is actually a coward at heart.

So when Zhou Gan's hand moved down, she immediately pressed it down on him.

Zhou Gan stopped what he was doing, his eyes filled with lust, the flame she had ignited burning fiercely.

"Zhenzhen." His voice was terribly hoarse.

Lin Zhenzhen shrank back, her voice trembling, "I'm not ready yet..."

His body stiffened, and Lin Zhenzhen immediately changed the subject.

“I know this post is just nonsense written by people online. There are even comments saying it’s your college roommate, saying you gave up your PhD to start a business for a girl. How ridiculous.”

Tan Bei's eyes, as bright as stars, stared at her without moving.

Lin Zhenzhen's smile froze on her lips. She had a feeling that the sentence might not have been written randomly.

Being stared at by Zhou Gan like this felt like being locked on by a lion and becoming its prey, suffocating. She breathed heavily and turned her head to the side.

"Oh, when did you say the audition was scheduled?"

"The director and screenwriter were both here this afternoon."

"So soon? Then I need to prepare properly."

Lin Zhenzhen slipped out of his arms, and Zhou Gan watched her retreating figure with a forlorn expression.

[Tsk, judging from the way you acted the first time you met him, I thought you were going to tear the male lead apart. Turns out you're all show and no substance.]

Lin Zhenzhen remained silent.

Once this little world ends, she'll carefully study how to switch systems.

She spent the rest of the time in her office studying the script, and Zhou Gan never appeared again.

Even so, he still sent a driver to take her to the hotel where the audition was to be held.

The location was in the hotel lobby. When she took the elevator up, she encountered several people who looked like agents. It seemed that today was a group audition.

Before she arrived, all the actresses gathered around He Feng, chatting and laughing with him.

As soon as Lin Zhenzhen sat down, the focus shifted to her.

"You actually dared to come?" He Feng found it hard to believe; how could someone be so lacking in self-awareness?

"Why wouldn't I dare come? Are there man-eating monsters here?"

Lin Zhenzhen looked at him like he was an idiot, which made He Feng so angry that he couldn't even walk properly. This handsome young man ended up walking with his legs crooked.

Most of the actresses who came to audition were well-known figures in the industry. Some were famous for their acting skills, while others had excellent public image and were known as the nation's daughters.

They gathered in twos and threes, all finding it unbelievable that Lin Zhenzhen was there.

"How dare she come? With her glaring eyes and pouting acting skills, oh my god, just thinking about it is a disaster."

"Don't they have any self-awareness? They've been brainwashed by those elementary school fans and think they're incredibly beautiful."

"She's looking at her phone there, probably doing some homework."

"None of your business. If last-minute cramming were effective, why would we have to spend decades learning acting?"

Lin Zhenzhen turned her back to them and threw her phone away in slight annoyance.

This group of people were chattering away, making so much noise that I lost all the 100,000 Happy Beans I had just bought.

"Next, Lin Zhen." The assistant director led Lin Zhen into the room.

The room was large, with a long table in front where five people were sitting. He Feng sat in the right corner, looking at her with a cold smile.

The test clip was a scene where the female lead had an emotional outburst. There was no prior emotional buildup, and there were no other actors to act with. To get into character quickly in such a short time required the actress to have a very strong sense of conviction.

The previous actors all gave mediocre performances, and by the time it was her turn, director Zhang Yu had already given up hope, especially after hearing that she was someone the investors had forced into the role.

Having been a director for so many years, what he hates most are these artists who lack talent and only know how to curry favor. So he doesn't even bother with formalities, and simply takes off his glasses and starts chatting with the person next to him.

But the moment Lin Zhenzhen spoke, the situation took a sharp turn for the worse.

After a ten-minute audition, He Feng was so shocked that his eyes almost popped out when he saw the usually serious Director Zhang affectionately holding Lin Zhen's hand and calling her "Little Zhen" repeatedly.

"Xiao Zhen, I never expected you to have such exquisite acting skills at such a young age. You are the leading lady I have been searching for."
