Huo Yeshuo doesn't smoke, and apart from a faint scent of men's cologne, he doesn't have any other unpleasant smells on him.
His kissing skills were terrible; his burning lips pressed firmly against Lin Zhenzhen's, but he didn't make any further moves.
Even so, his hand on the back of her head remained tightly clenched.
Their necks intertwined, their breaths mingling, their long, deep breaths entwining.
If a passerby saw such a vibrant spring scene through a car window, they would surely blush and look away.
Lin Zhenzhen's eyes gradually moistened, and a layer of mist slowly rose in her dark and bright eyes. She blinked gently, her eyelashes lightly brushing against Huo Yeshuo's nose.
The next second, her hands, which had been helplessly hanging in mid-air, swung down and grabbed his arm hard.
Lin Zhenzhen's pinching force wasn't enough to hurt Huo Yeshuo, but it could bring him back to his senses.
Huo Yeshuo slowly stood up, staring at Lin Zhenzhen's rosy, glistening lips, his expression unreadable.
The atmosphere inside the car instantly became extremely eerie.
Lin Zhenzhen sat up straight, leaned closer to the window, and reached out to lower the window to let in some fresh air, but Huo Yeshuo grabbed her wrist.
His eyes held not only an unyielding stubbornness but also a deep sense of tension.
Lin Zhenzhen was stunned for a moment, then realized: "I just wanted to open the window, I didn't mean to jump out of the car."
Huo Yeshuo's eyes flickered, and the pressure on his hand loosened slightly.
The car window rolled down, and a gentle evening breeze blew in.
Lin Zhenzhen looked out the window at the roadside scenery, guessing that the other person had calmed down enough, before she tucked a stray hair behind her ear and turned to look at him.
Huo Yeshuo was also looking at her, but when their eyes met, he quickly turned his head away.
His once sharp eyebrows and eyes drooped, like a child who knew he had done something wrong.
Lin Zhenzhen suppressed a laugh and said coldly, "Why are you dodging? Weren't you quite capable when you were forcing me earlier?"
Huo Yeshuo's brow twitched, and his thin lips pressed tightly together, almost forming a straight line.
His fists, resting on his knees, were clenched tightly, the veins on the back of his hands silently bulging.
Lin Zhenzhen had never met anyone like Huo Yeshuo who would cower in fear the moment after a forceful kiss.
However, it's understandable. After all, Huo Yeshuo has always been aloof and reserved, keeping his distance from others. Not to mention kissing, even holding hands and hugging requires Lin Zhenzhen to plan and arrange things step by step.
Who knew that a pair of pearl earrings would draw Lu Yangyun into this and elicit such a strong reaction from him?
Lin Zhenzhen knew he must be going through a lot of pain right now, but she still wanted to use words to provoke him.
“Turn your head and look at me.” Lin Zhenzhen used her most forceful tone.
Huo Yeshuo's Adam's apple bobbed slightly, and then he finally turned his head, his dark green eyes lowered, filled with a heavy, strange emotion.
"Huo Yeshuo, I never expected you to be this kind of person."
Lin Zhenzhen's voice already carried a faint sob.
Huo Yeshuo panicked for a moment and subconsciously raised his hand, but then froze when he saw the tears in her eyes.
"I'm sorry," he said.
The palms hovered in mid-air for a few seconds, then came together and slowly retracted.
Lin Zhenzhen grabbed his hand and pulled him much closer with almost no effort.
Huo Yeshuo let her do as she pleased, his thick eyelashes lifting upwards, his jewel-like pupils gleaming, his lips moving slightly as if he wanted to say something, yet he was even more eager for her to say something.
Lin Zhenzhen took his hand and pressed it against her cheek.
Huo Yeshuo's eyes lit up completely at her gesture, and he twitched his thumb slightly, gently brushing against her soft earlobe.
Lin Zhenzhen sniffed and said in a muffled voice, "What do you mean by kissing me and then running away? Don't you want to take responsibility?"
"No." Huo Yeshuo's fingers spread open, completely cradling her chin in his palm, his tone ardent, "I will take responsibility for you."
"But you were so mean to me just now," Lin Zhenzhen began to sob, "and you pinched me so hard it hurt."
She bent down and led Huo Yeshuo to look at the part of her dress that revealed her waist.
The red fingerprints imprinted on the snow-white skin were clearly visible, as if they had just been branded with a hot iron. The heat was transmitted to Huo Yishuo's eyes, causing him to catch his breath.
"Is it red?" Lin Zhenzhen turned her head and asked him.
"Yes..." Huo Yeshuo's voice was a little hoarse.
"I knew it." Lin Zhenzhen sat up straight, her eyes brimming with tears of grievance. "Huo Yeshuo, why are you so mean to me?"
Huo Yeshuo lowered his head in frustration. He knew that she was easily marked, but he was still swayed by his emotions and did something to hurt her.
"It was my fault."
Lin Zhenzhen gently pulled her hand away from his and murmured, "That was my first kiss."
Huo Yeshuo's movements tightened abruptly, his pupils dilating incredulously.
Lin Zhenzhen was stunned for a moment, then her chest heaved violently, and she bit her lower lip, saying, "What do you mean?"
Huo Yeshuo gave her a deep look, then his gaze shifted back to the pair of pearl earrings.
Lin Zhenzhen feigned sudden realization: "It's because of Brother Yang Yun. You're angry because of him, because he doubts me?"
Hearing that title again still stirred Huo Yeshuo's heart.
But his thoughts had calmed down considerably, and he understood that he shouldn't create any rift with the person in front of him over something unfounded.
"It's not that I doubt you, but I am indeed a little concerned." Huo Yeshuo's gaze was deep. "The earrings were a gift from him."
