Aside from Huo Yeshuo's sour face, the meal was quite pleasant.
Lin Zhenzhen kept serving food to everyone, while her own bowl remained empty.
Having not eaten for so long, coupled with her illness and fever, her complexion was alarmingly poor.
Lin Zhenzhen hurriedly went to the bathroom to apply lipstick to herself. It was a lipstick she had casually slipped into her hand before leaving the house, and it seemed to be brand new.
The standard blue-toned red doesn't really match her cool and obedient temperament; it's like a child secretly applying adult makeup.
Lin Zhenzhen used her fingertips to lighten the color, then applied the remaining color to her cheeks and blended it out.
Her complexion finally looked better; at least she wasn't as pale as a mannequin before.

Very well, Lin Zhenzhen pushed open the bathroom door, but met an unexpected person at the door.
Huo Yeshuo stood with his back to the main entrance of the women's restroom, like a sturdy and upright sculpture, staring blankly at the green plants placed in the corridor.
Upon hearing the noise, he did not turn around immediately. He stood with his hands behind his back, as steady as a mountain, as if waiting for her to take the initiative to come forward.
Lin Zhenzhen did indeed do that.
"Mr. Huo, were you waiting for me?"
Huo Yeshuo tilted his head slightly, his dark green eyes flashing with a sharp light, like a sword gleaming with cold light, mercilessly slicing across her face.
Lin Zhenzhen was only stunned for a moment before she smiled again.
"If there's anything I did wrong, just tell me, and I'll do my best to cooperate."
Huo Yeshuo's anger surged, his eyes narrowed dangerously, and he parted his thin lips to utter a word that was cold to the extreme.
"roll."
Lin Zhenzhen's brow twitched involuntarily, and her eyes widened slightly, revealing undisguised surprise.
She never imagined that one day she would hear Huo Yeshuo swearing, and that the target of his insults would be her.
But Lin Zhenzhen quickly composed herself, smiled and shook her head: "I'm not leaving. I'm your secretary now, and accompanying you to social events is my job."
"I don't need it." Huo Yeshuo emphasized, gritting his teeth as he said each word clearly, "I get annoyed just looking at you."
Lin Zhenzhen frowned, and a thin layer of moisture rose in her eyes.
However, that expression only lingered on her face for a moment before vanishing without a trace.
Lin Zhenzhen looked down at her phone: "Then I'll go in first. It would be impolite if we disappeared together for too long."
Huo Yeshuo stood outside for a while, raising his right hand and repeatedly pounding the wall.
Ignoring the stares of passersby, he freely vented the emotions that had been building up inside him.
He didn't know what to do, because it seemed like whatever he did would be wrong.
Only now does he finally understand the meaning of his mother's words.
My brain tells me I should hate him, despise him, and stay away from him, but my heart screams for pity, love, and forgiveness.
"Xiao Shuo, don't blame Mom. If it were that simple, love wouldn't be love."

When Huo Yeshuo pushed open the door, President Zhang was pouring wine for Lin Zhenzhen.
Seeing him come in, she hurriedly waved with a smile and said, "Mr. Huo, you're finally back! While you were gone, Xiao Ling kept things going."
Huo Yeshuo's gaze swept across the table, and in just one glance, he saw several empty wine jugs next to Lin Zhenzhen.
"I never expected that Miss Ling, such a gentle and delicate girl, would have such a high alcohol tolerance. Mr. Huo, where did you find such a treasure!"
His blood surged and knotted, and Huo Yeshuo stared intently at Lin Zhenzhen.
Because of the alcohol, her face was flushed, her eyes were misty, and the light from above fell on her eyes but couldn't penetrate them.
She appeared quite lucid, and the curve of her smile was polite and official.
Huo Yeshuo hated Lin Zhenzhen's hypocritical act, yet he was so stingy that he wouldn't even share the side of himself that he hated most with others.
"Who told you to drink?" His voice was terrifyingly cold.
The others present sensed that something was wrong and immediately fell silent.
Mr. Zhang stepped forward and chuckled, "It seems Mr. Huo is a little unhappy that we didn't wait for him while we were drinking."
I don't know if Mr. Zhang is just drunk and his eyesight is failing, or if he's always been rather dim-witted.
He actually shoved a wine glass full of wine into Lin Zhenzhen's hand and then pushed her in front of Huo Yeshuo.
"Come on, Aya, quickly have a drink for your boss too."
Huo Yeshuo wasn't really looking to drink; his eyes clearly showed he wanted to devour someone.
Sure enough, after a deathly silence of ten seconds, Huo Yeshuo snatched the wine glass from her hand and smashed it on the ground.
"Lingzhen, you're really great. It seems I really underestimated you before."
He gripped Lin Zhenzhen's wrist, his back teeth grinding together: "Didn't I tell you to leave? Why are you still stuck here? Do you know how disgusting this makes me feel?"
Lin Zhenzhen seemed startled by his movements, her body trembled a few times, and she slowly raised her head, revealing her large, wet eyes that resembled those of a fawn.
"Mr. Huo, that's not right of you. Xiaoling was just trying to treat us well..."
Huo Yeshuo suddenly turned his head, his face dark and terrifying like a ghost.
"Get out of here."
Startled by his outburst, Mr. Zhang's neck turned red as he reacted: "How dare you speak to me like that? You're the ones who wanted to collaborate on this project. If it weren't for your father's influence, I wouldn't have..."
"Get the hell out of here."
