Lin Zhenzhen understood immediately, turned her head, and asked with more confidence, "What exactly happened?"
Rex swallowed nervously: "Okay, give me your hand, I'll help you stand up first, and then I'll talk to you properly."
"No." Lin Zhenzhen refused coldly, hovering her finger over the red button. "Just say it like that."
"You!" Rex took a deep breath. "I advise you not to act impulsively, or you won't be able to bear the consequences."
Lin Zhenzhen sneered: "You seem to have misunderstood the situation. You're the one begging me now, so don't talk to me in such a threatening tone."
"..." Rex was so angry he wanted to curse, but since he didn't have the initiative, he could only suppress the fire in his heart.
Lin Zhenzhen repeated her question: "What exactly is going on?"
Rexton paused, choosing to omit the important parts, and said ambiguously, "This is an experiment."
"It's all over now. As long as you cooperate, we'll let you leave safely."
"Just an experiment?" Lin Zhenzhen's tone suddenly softened, her expression blank.

Rex was taken aback, and before he could think of a reply, he heard her ask another question.
"Because... someone died during the experiment?"

Rex, however, saw the glistening tears in the corners of her eyes, like shooting stars streaking across her cheeks.
His gaze fell on Lin Zhenzhen's back.
The sleeping man slowly opened his eyes, a glint of gold flashing in his dark pupils.
Rex immediately understood, raised his hands, and spoke in a gentle tone, as if he wanted to comfort the other party.
"The death in the experiment is somewhat different from what you understand."
"So, someone really did die, right?" Lin Zhenzhen opened her mouth, breathing with some difficulty. "Who was it? Lin Simiao, or Gong Yao?"
“Uh…” Rex’s expression was evasive.
How could he answer such a question? Dreams are based on real past experiences, and only the parties involved know the specific details; outsiders cannot peek into them.
Lin Zhenzhen noticed his hesitation: "Send me in again."

Lin Zhenzhen's voice stopped abruptly.
Looking at the woman collapsed on the ground, Rex finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Gong Yao stepped forward slowly, and translucent blue water droplets dripped down his hair, making him look like a captivating sea siren, so handsome that he seemed unreal.
