Chapter 407 The Final Chapter 56

Li Zhensheng suppressed a laugh: "If the day ever comes when the statue is replaced, I will also bring this back to my home to display. In the future, when you bring your son to visit, I will tell you all the interesting stories about this statue in a vivid way."

Gong Yao rolled his eyes: "If you really dare to move, you'll lose me as your brother, and you can forget about seeing your nephew."

Li Zhensheng opened his mouth wide and made a surprised expression: "Actually, it's normal for a three-year-old to wet his pants."

Gong Yao interrupted him: "Brother, stop."

Li Zhensheng shrugged, and the two remained silent for a while.

Li Zhensheng spoke again: "If I don't bring this up, when can I see my nephew?"

Gong Yao looked at Li Zhensheng with a smile: "Mind your own business."

The van slowly drove into the manor. The Li family's old house is quite old, although it has been renovated at great expense every year.

However, the large house is usually only inhabited by the old man of the Li family and his eldest son and his wife, so it inevitably feels deserted.

The Spring Festival period is the liveliest time in the house every year.

Li Zhensheng drove the car into the garage. Gong Yao got out of the car with a yawn, and shivered as soon as he opened the door.

Li Zhensheng felt sorry for his pampered younger brother and urged him to go inside quickly.

Gong Yao didn't waste any time, burying half his face in his scarf and running forward.

However, the Li family manor was too big, and the nearest garage was quite a distance from the main hall. Gong Yao was so cold that he stamped his feet and shivered as he ran.

"Gong Yao!" A strong voice rang out. Gong Yao looked up and saw that the main building's door was wide open, with several people standing in the doorway against the light.

Gong Yao strode forward: "Hurry, hurry, hurry!"

Li Cheng laughed and said, "What's the rush? Why are you in such a hurry?" Then he went to hug Gong Yao.

"Close the door quickly, it's cold." Gong Yao finally entered the door and felt the warmth that rushed towards him. "It's so cold today."

The elders burst into laughter. Li Shenglin, dressed in a Chinese-style vest and leaning on a cane, looked very dignified: "You little rascal, you finally know how to come back."

Gong Yao looked at his grandfather, who was pretending to be angry, and familiarly bent down to hug the old man: "Grandpa, I missed you so much."

Li Shenglin already cherished this grandson dearly, so he wouldn't really blame him. Instead, he felt sorry for Gong Yao.

"Are you that busy with work?" She cupped Gong Yao's face and looked him over. "You've lost so much weight."

"I haven't lost weight," Gong Yao retorted. "I'm lean; I trained hard by lifting weights for a long time. Young girls like this kind of build these days."

Li Shenglin snorted twice in dissatisfaction: "Where is that little girl? Why can't you bring back a little girl?"

Seeing that he was in a bind, Gong Yao laughed it off and said, "It'll be soon, it'll be soon. I'll bring my granddaughter-in-law back to see you this year."

Li Zhensheng, who had just parked his car, came over and asked, "Where is my sister-in-law?"

Gong Yao slapped his hand away: "It's all part of the plan, why are you in such a hurry?"

"I'm eager to see my unborn nephew," Li Zhensheng said with a smug look.

Gong Yao turned to Li Cheng: "Uncle, is it true that my brother brought his wife home this year?"

Li Cheng shook his head helplessly, but Hu Rensui's voice came from behind him: "That brat brought someone back. He cares more about finding a partner for Lucy than about his own affairs."

"Lucy?" Gong Yao asked, puzzled. "May I ask who Lucy is?"

Gong Zhensheng gestured with his lips, and Gong Yao looked down and saw a small white dog with long hair squatting at his feet, wagging its big tail vigorously on the floor.

"Lucy is this lady." Gong Zhensheng bent down and picked up Lucy. "My sweet mixed-race daughter, what did I do wrong by going to such lengths to find a partner for my own daughter?"

Gong Yao teased the silver-haired beauty, who was probably a mix of Pomeranian and Teddy, for a while: "I'm worried about the fireworks in our Li family."

Gong Zhensheng nodded with a solemn expression: "I will take Lucy to get sterilized when she turns one year old."

Gong Yao remained silent and could only pat his older brother on the shoulder.

Hu Niansui stepped forward and urged the old man to go back to his room to rest: "You've seen Xiaoyan now, go back and rest."

Li Shenglin waved his hand: "I'm getting old, I can't sleep after this time. Yan Yan, come and chat with me for a while."

Gong Yao quickly stepped forward and pleaded with Li Shengli, "Grandpa, I'm so sleepy. Let's go to your room and take a nap."

Li Shengli was pleased with himself and was helped upstairs by Gong Yao. Late at night, the Gong family mansion gradually returned to peace.

Gong Yao lay in bed, hearing the snoring sounds around him, and tiptoed out of bed in the dark.

After a quick wash, Gong Yao returned to his room and lay on the bed scrolling through his phone.

I randomly opened his WeChat Moments. Gong Yao had many friends, but he himself had a very low presence in the social circle. He didn't post updates and almost never liked or commented on other people's posts.

The soft glow of his phone illuminated Gong Yao's face as he rapidly swiped his thumb across the screen.

Suddenly, he saw a familiar profile picture, and his hand stopped.
