“Since it’s a flagship, it must be protected by an energy shield,” Kerry said calmly from the side.
"We don't need to destroy the flagship, we just need to destroy the most warships," Shen Wangshu said calmly. "It is in our best interest to destroy as many warships as possible in one fell swoop, since our warships do not have enough firepower."
Shooting down those scattered warships would only waste energy. These warships are smaller than the Federation's warships, but they have the advantage in number. Once surrounded, our warship won't be able to fire from all sides to defend itself. Shen Wangshu took a deep breath and turned to the middle-aged teacher, saying, "Shooting down more warships can also prevent them from pursuing the spaceship."
"Anything else?" the middle-aged teacher continued to ask.
His eyes, which looked at Shen Wangshu, were filled with a bright light, yet also with a hint of regret.
Such an outstanding child, with a do-or-die mentality, can only rest forever in this sea of stars, never again able to shine her own light in the vast wilderness where she should exist.
“Focus on dealing with the scattered warships, and ignore the flagship, because the flagship will never lead the charge. Buy more time to give the spaceships more time to leave, and don’t let these warships get close to our ships.” Shen Wangshu took a deep breath, this time subtly casting his gaze on the silent Kerry and Lori, revealing a faint pity, and said softly, “Avoid boarding battles as much as possible.”
A boarding battle is when the warships of both sides come close together, and then the combat personnel on board begin to fight face to face. That's when you're really doomed.
The Federation's warships are, after all, very advanced, and those warships can't gain any further advantage.
In their previous lives, Kerry and Lori died in the boarding battle.
No matter how outstanding they are, they are still just students. How could they possibly compare to those veterans on the other side?
"You're right." The middle-aged teacher nodded slightly, then turned and asked loudly, "Do you have any other questions?!"
At this moment, the few students who remained gathered around Shen Wangshu, listening intently to everything she said, their faces showing expressions different from before.
(Prince of Tennis + Flower Style) Final Episode.
They used to secretly look down on Alice for being weak and in need of protection, but now, all their images have changed.
"So what do we do now?" Luo Li asked, her eyes lighting up as she leaned on Shen Wangshu's shoulder.
“Ready to serve at any time.” Kerry glanced at Shen Wangshu and said briefly, his eyes shining like stars beneath his black hair.
Shen Wangshu looked in the direction of the middle-aged teacher.
"You take charge," the middle-aged teacher said with a smile.
Shen Wangshu shook her head and said softly, "I cannot do this, as I bear the fate of my companions."
Of course, she can raise her head and take over the real command.
Now her companions trust her completely and will listen to her just as much.
However, Shen Wangshu knew that he had no experience.
No general carries the weight of others' lives without having experienced actual combat, even knowing that sacrifice is inevitable. She couldn't do that. She smiled at the middle-aged teacher, stepped aside from the command platform, and stood quietly to the side, continuing to watch the flashing lights on the screen. The middle-aged teacher was also not one to argue. In this urgent situation, there was no room for politeness. She walked to the center without ceremony, placed her hands on the command platform, and solemnly said, "Everyone to your positions."
Ten people stood in different positions on the control panel.
There were many buttons of different colors on the control panel in front of Shen Wangshu. It was the first time she had ever seen them, but perhaps because of Alice's memories, she recognized the function of each button.
"Prepare for artillery fire, prepare to recharge." The middle-aged teacher lowered his voice, as if afraid of disturbing the opposing fleet.
Shen Wangshu quickly pressed one of the buttons according to the instructions. Then he felt the warship shake slightly. Countless black cannons silently emerged from the hull of the warship, and a faint light gathered on them. Soon after, it turned into a bright light.
Without any command, everyone's fingers were on the launch button.
Countless powerful streams of light converged and projected into the distant sea of stars, as if time had stood still for a moment. Then, an even brighter ball of light appeared in the distance, followed by a massive explosion.
The shockwaves from the explosion that shattered the stars and the warship rolled in, but the warship remained unmoved amidst the violent turbulence. In the blinding light, the middle-aged teacher's expression changed, and he shouted sharply, "Launch the spaceship!"
Through the brightly lit reflection, Shen Wangshu saw a spaceship fly away from the warship and disappear into the vast sea of stars in the blink of an eye. A faint sense of relief appeared in the middle-aged teacher's eyes, followed by a fierce look of desperation as he stared at the opposing fleet. The radar continued scanning, and Shen Wangshu saw that at least half of the lights on it had disappeared.
“Your suggestion is excellent,” Lori whispered proudly as she leaned closer.
“It is indeed very good,” the black-haired boy, Kerry, said earnestly.
He gazed silently at Shen Wangshu for a long time, then a rare smile appeared on his face. He said softly, "I apologize for my past prejudice against you." He paused, his star-like eyes gazing silently at the boundless sea of stars, and said earnestly, "If we can return alive, I hope..."
I will not get engaged to you.
Jiongshi: Oh my, it's a sage! This is truly a classic dialogue from the movie "If We Were Alive, We'd Start Over."
The blonde girl's wary and decisive refusal caused the black-haired boy's lips to curl into an interesting smile. He turned his head to look at Shen Wangshu, a hint of helplessness on his handsome face, and shook his head, saying, "No, what I want to say is that I hope we can become true friends."
