Chapter 106 Interstellar Glory (Part 8)

"My lord, have you forgotten? You were the one who told me to stay on the warship to handle the final cleanup." Lance wasn't going to take the blame for this unfortunate admiral, so he quickly finished speaking, revealing a gentle smile. He gestured slightly to Shen Wangshu, his eyes filled with anticipation, and said, "My master is very fond of Miss Alice, otherwise he wouldn't have brought you here. You should know that this warship is the place he cares about most; no one else has ever boarded it."

He tried to make amends, and seeing Karls nod in satisfaction, he continued with a smile, "There are many traces of His Excellency's life here. Through this warship, you can learn more about our Admiral."

.

Good heavens, the blond adjutant wished he could immediately arrange an engagement between the two.

Ever since the affair between Karls and Alice was exposed, countless people have sympathized with the blonde lieutenant.

After all, being cheated on after being a mistress behind someone's back for decades must be very painful, right?

Lance has decided to start over!

He was going to tell everyone that he had forgotten the past and urged them to get rid of his current miserable single life.

Whether it's a wife or a husband, just give him one!

"I will." The handsome adjutant's eyes shone with a dazzling light, and Shen Wangshu felt this fervor, her lips twitching as she spoke.

Effie's insistence on not interfering was giving her a headache, but the blonde adjutant's eager and attentive manner was also putting a lot of pressure on her.

Lance had intended to say that his happiness for the rest of his life depended on Miss Alice, but after struggling to hold it in, he finally let out a deep breath and respectfully said to Karls, "Then I'll take my leave." He paused, then said meaningfully to Karls, "Don't worry, there's no one left on the warship... You know where there are surveillance devices, don't you?"

He reopened the warship's hatch, gracefully inviting his superior officer inside. Watching the villain who had ruined the first half of his life's happiness enter, he hurriedly closed the hatch and left, thanking his lucky stars.

"He seems really happy," Shen Wangshu remarked, watching through the warship window as the blond-haired man leaped onto a spaceship and sped away. Suddenly, she put her arm around Karls' neck and asked with a smile, "I heard he used to be your secret agent?"

"It's fake." In the silent warship, only Karls' footsteps echoed.

His voice was even deeper, and all the lights around him blazed on as he walked by.

"Why would such a scandal arise?" Shen Wangshu suddenly asked.

Karls stopped as if in thought, then walked back to a wide hatch and said in a low voice, "He was my classmate, and we joined the same fleet after graduation. We were inseparable, and he even helped me fend off a lot of women."

Ever since he began demonstrating his strength in the Federation's military, he has been incredibly popular, with countless socialites and ladies vying to marry him. Those who were more reserved moved on to the next target after he rejected them; after all, there are plenty of prestigious families and outstanding men in the Federation, so why hang yourself on him?

However, some were convinced of their own charm and ambitiously continued to pursue him.

For women like this, all Kars wanted to do was give each of them a light sword.

However, Lance clearly knew he couldn't do that, and he felt obligated to share his superior's burdens by preventing these women... or men from getting close to him.

Over time, a jealous and heartbroken adjutant appeared in General Karls's life. He was deeply in love with his superior and refused to share his love with anyone else.

A childhood sweetheart from school, who stay together through thick and thin after joining the fleet... This story is quite dramatic.

Shen Wangshu chuckled, unsure whether she should pity innocent Lance; these days, it's truly impossible to be a good person. Her golden hair trembled with laughter as she leaned on Karls' shoulder, whispering in his ear, "Weren't you moved by his deep affection?" She mischievously blew a slow, gentle breeze, and Karls' gaze darkened for a moment before he shook his head, saying, "Fake."

.

But how could he deny it in front of others? Wouldn't that just make things worse? Hopefully, this time he'll marry his beloved Shushu smoothly, and his adjutant will be able to enjoy a better life.

His ears twitched, and he tightened his arms around the soft girl in his arms, as if he might break her if he exerted too much force, and stepped into the cabin.

Shen Wangshu looked up and saw a very large control room.

The enormous screen trembled in front of her, with countless data and images flowing rapidly across it.

The cabin, which can accommodate a hundred people, contains individual but interconnected control panels, with a seat in front for each person.

Beneath the light screen at the very front, a solitary, pitch-black swivel chair stood alone.

Shen Wangshu guessed that it might be the location of his lover.

Sure enough, the black-haired man strode to the seat, sat down, placed Shen Wangshu on his lap, and looked up at the innocent and lovely girl. He parted her snow-white legs and made her straddle him. As she squirmed uncomfortably, he felt his touch against her soft lower body suddenly harden intensely.

The girl seemed to sense it too; she blinked her innocent sky-blue eyes, then moved timidly, as if to move away from the suddenly hot place.

Carls grunted, grabbed her waist, told her not to move, and pressed her even more firmly against his burning desire.

At that moment, he deeply felt the hindrance of the fabric.

The girl blushed, but showed no sign of refusing; she leaned forward as if to kiss him.

In the enchanting and quiet cabin, the black-haired man's eyes grew even deeper and darker as he looked at the equally moved blonde girl. He suddenly asked softly, "Would you like to become my adjutant?"

Shen Wangshu was taken aback, but in her moment of passion, she had no time to think further and mumbled, "I haven't graduated yet, I don't know anything, how can I be your adjutant?"

“It’s alright,” Kars said even more gently.

"You need me that much?" Shen Wangshu's lips curled into a satisfied smile.

He said deeply and with certainty, "I need you." As Shen Wangshu smiled radiantly and slipped her slender hand inside his clothes, she whispered, "Stay by my side. Even if I die in battle, I will take you with me."

The lieutenant was the closest person to him, and would be on the same warship forever. If he lived, the lieutenant lived. If he died, it meant the warship would perish, and the lieutenant would die with him. Karls, having come from the military, had seen too much love—love that meant sharing life and death.

In his heart, this was the most beautiful love.

Shen Wangshu felt a chill run down his back.

She chuckled awkwardly as she pulled her hand out of the man's clothes, looking into his earnest eyes and knowing that he truly meant it.

"A nice way to express your love," she praised dryly. "Unique."

I was so scared...

No wonder he's been a bachelor for ninety years.
