Chapter 108 Interstellar Glory (Part 10)

"Look at Alice, and then look at yourself." Effie glanced at the scheming man and snorted coldly, but her gaze swept over General Andy, who was smiling as he stepped forward, and her eyes turned slightly cold. She snorted again, but ignored General Andy, and turned back to say indifferently, "Keep an eye on Alice. If she loses even a single hair, you won't need to show up anymore."

Her sister's words suddenly came to mind, and she became even more wary of General Andy. This wariness made her very uneasy. She wasn't worried about herself, but rather about her kind-hearted sister.

In her heart, everyone is kind and forgivable.

But people's hearts are treacherous. For example, right now, everyone is smiling, but who knows what they are really feeling?

Effie couldn't bear to let her sister's beautiful and pure heart be tainted, and felt it was better to leave the dirty work to Carl.

Anyway, this guy has been in the military for so many years, his heart is completely black, and he doesn't need any sympathy.

“She’s mine, you don’t need to whine about it,” Karls said coldly.

"What, are you feeling threatened now that you see some boys like Alice?" Effie felt the man beside her suddenly tense up.

The stage was filled with vibrant young people, whose energy and pure emotions were unmatched by Karl. Compared to these fresh-faced youths, Karl looked incredibly old.

Moreover, while some of the young people who stand out at the Federation's top university are from commoner backgrounds, most come from prestigious families.

They receive more education from a young age, which allows them to go further on this path than ordinary people.

Of course... there were even more bloodlines who sacrificed their lives than ordinary people...

But with a group of equally prestigious and naive elite youths standing here, Karls must be incredibly carefree if he's not worried.

Don't think that Admiral Effie didn't see this guy's brother's little trick of eliminating his love rival.

"A sense of crisis?"

“They are all just as good as you. Believe me, they will definitely stand out within ten years,” Effie said calmly.

That's why she didn't immediately agree to her sister's marriage proposal.

Her sister certainly deserves the best.

Karls suddenly sneered and said arrogantly, "I'm jealous." He admitted his jealousy and continued calmly under Effie's cold gaze, "But she will only love me."

"What?"

"No matter who it is, even if the Federal Marshal stood here, she would only fall in love with me."

.

Carls's assertive words suddenly made Effie's face darken. She stared intently at the man in front of her, one hand pressing down on her waist.

She was wearing her energy gun there.

“You’re just afraid.” Karls continued coldly, seeing his blond lieutenant awkwardly standing between the two. “Can you deny that you didn’t have your own selfish motives when you chose Kerry?”

He saw Effie's dark golden eyes almost change color, and slowly said, "You want her to be happy, but you're afraid she'll find someone she truly loves and forget you, so you chose Kerry because you know Kerry will treat her well. But compared to your meticulous care, young Kerry will never do more than you. In your sister's heart, you will always be the best and the most reliable one."

In that way, the first person Alice would always think of would always be her sister.

Effie gasped for breath, her hand trembling as she pressed it against her waist.

“She will be very happy, but Kerry will not be the most important person in her heart,” the dark-haired man continued.

"Your Excellency," Lance almost wept as he addressed his superior.

General Effie's eyes were burning red, how could she still stab him in the heart?

Life is tough, don't expose it.

Lance wished he could shut his superior's mouth.

Even if it's the truth... well, you should at least trick the girl's sister into coming back before making sarcastic remarks.

If this continues, it would be a miracle if people refused to marry their sister to you.

Didn't you see all those little devils on stage...? Are the boys eyeing them covetously?

"Heh..." The dog-mouthed officer did not say anything, but a chuckle was worth a thousand words, wasn't it?

The blond adjutant felt utterly exhausted, both physically and mentally.

There could never be a worse time than this.

This is even worse than having an affair with that damned boss before.

However, thanks to Miss Alice, Lance is currently in high spirits. After several blind dates, he feels his life is very fulfilling. Moreover, Karls and Effie clearly don't want the innocent Alice to become a third party, thus clearing the adjutant's name.

Karls himself admitted that he used his muscular adjutant as a shield to reduce the number of women around him. This admission made General Karls an absolute scoundrel, as it was incredibly immoral of him to not only refuse to marry himself but also keep his adjutant from getting married as well. However, to Lance, this made him an extremely loyal and dedicated adjutant.

Willing to be a shield, isn't that the model of an adjutant?

The blond adjutant embarked on the second chapter of his life, truly preparing to become a winner in life.

His only worry was that his superior officer might accidentally fail to marry his young wife, and then he would have to be dumped as well.

Effie's gloomy eyes pierced past Lance's wry smile and fixed on the black-haired man.

Her expression shifted between anger and uncertainty, yet she couldn't refute a single word Karls said.

.

She did make this choice subconsciously; it was an instinct.

Field is left with only her and Alice. If even Alice is far away from her, what is she doing guarding the empty Field all by herself?
