A drop of cold sweat fell from his forehead, and the boy said softly, "We will be together forever." He turned his head and pressed his lips to the top of Shen Wangshu's head, whispering, "I will always be by your side."
He had made that promise countless times, and Shen Wangshu reached out and pinched his arm.
She felt too embarrassed to make a move on such an innocent young man.
She used to always take the initiative to push Ah Xuan down and even take advantage of him, how could she use that on such an innocent boy?
She sighed deeply, fearing she would have to wait several more years for this guilt to disappear so she could eat her own son with a clear conscience. Then she smiled and said, "I'm so glad you can't live without me."
Who wouldn't want to be adored by their lover? Ah Xuan wasn't this clingy before.
The boy forced a smile, responded softly, and said in a slightly hoarse voice, "No matter what, I can't live without you."
"You've always been upright, it's rare to hear you speak so sweetly." Shen Wangshu tilted her head up to kiss the boy's eyes, but saw that the boy was staring at her in a daze, and then a fear that she couldn't ignore appeared in his eyes. He just looked at her like that, his expression indescribable, so complicated that Shen Wangshu felt as if she had committed a heinous crime.
Because Dongfang Xuan's face was deathly pale, and then, as if truly frightened, he pulled her tightly into his arms. He trembled and murmured softly, "Shushu, I'm so cold."
His voice was tinged with tears.
Shen Wangshu paused for a moment, his expression becoming complicated.
She reached out and gently stroked the boy's back inside the car, as if to comfort him. He looked up at the roof of the car quietly as he suddenly became weak.
"Have I forgotten something?" she suddenly asked in a cold voice.
The boy didn't speak, but his body trembled violently.
Shen Wangshu suddenly smiled, feeling like he couldn't breathe.
She had this vague feeling from the very beginning of her journey into this world. She had memories of being with Ah Xuan in every lifetime, but those memories became distorted and blurry when she tried to recall them carefully. It was as if something was separating them, or as if something was missing. If she didn't deliberately try to remember, she felt that there was nothing wrong with her at all.
But when she recalled Ah Xuan's memories under the boy's panicked gaze, she finally discovered that those memories had become blurred, and she could easily recall that Ah Xuan had once been a very wealthy man.
But what about other things? How did he live with her? How did he work? She couldn't remember any of the details.
She couldn't help but think of the scorching fire in the golden space.
At that time... when the fire was burning through space, it did indeed burn her soul...
That's why she constantly felt the burning heat and the hidden pain in her soul.
"What do you remember?" Shen Wangshu asked gently.
"I just dream, and I dream of many scenes." Dongfang Xuan believes that there are predestined relationships in this world, and he also believes that he and Shen Wangshu will be together no matter how many reincarnations they go through. Those past memories make him feel familiar, and he feels that he loves the girl in his arms a little more each time, but he also feels jealous.
He envied how happy Ah Xuan had been under the lover's care, and he also envied why those memories weren't of her and him. When he vaguely discovered that Shen Wangshu's memories were inaccurate and incomplete, his first feeling wasn't fear.
Instead, they were happy.
He was glad that his lover had forgotten all her past memories, forgotten those men, and only looked at him.
But after the initial joy, he couldn't help but feel fear.
He hoped his lover would forget all of Ah Xuan's past and focus only on him, but then he suddenly thought that when they grew old and died in this life, she would meet another Ah Xuan...
Will she forget him, just as she has forgotten the past?
"Don't forget me, Shushu," he whispered.
"I won't forget." Shen Wangshu didn't know where the flames that suddenly ignited on the demon core in the golden space came from, or what would happen to her afterwards, but she still gently comforted her.
She knew that Dongfang Xuanhui would dream of those memories from his past life, and she couldn't help but feel comforted.
If... she really does suffer some memory loss due to being burned by the flames, then the only one who can remember all of this is Ah Xuan.
She should be grateful to him for remembering everything between them.
She paused, still somewhat doubtful about the spatial anomaly. Feeling the boy trembling, she couldn't help but cradle the now limp boy in her arms. Looking into his dark eyes, she felt he didn't seem to have anything special about him, nor did he seem to possess the overwhelming power of flames that could destroy the heavens and the earth. However, the spatial anomaly still made her curiously ask, "What do you remember?"
She wondered if the flames in the space might have come from her Ah Xuan. What exactly did he want to do? Surely he didn't want to erase her memories? Seeing Ah Xuan's panicked appearance, Shen Wangshu thought it was impossible.
How could Ah Xuan hurt her?
The boy's breath hitched for a moment, then he shook his head and said, "Nothing." He sighed softly, muttering with a hint of embarrassment, "I don't remember anything."
He will forget what he cannot forget.
He smiled gently at Shen Wangshu and said softly, "I was originally just Shushu's Ah Xuan."
He looked at the smile Shen Wangshu gave him, his gaze calm, as if he were about to let go of all the burdens he had carried in the past.
