Chapter 146 Heavenly Emperor (Part Six)

However, after standing upright for only a moment, he said with a hint of solemnity, "Within the Three Realms, there is nothing I cannot calculate. This place is so strange; I fear there is another reason." Generally, such places either hide supreme treasures or conceal deadly dangers. If it's the former, it's an opportunity; if it's the latter…

Maybe the Heavenly Emperor has actually ruined his last disciple.

Xuanxi Tianjun thought to himself expressionlessly.

A flash of light appeared in his hand, transforming into mysterious silver threads of light before Wang Shu Shaojun. These threads danced on the young man's slender, graceful fingertips, leading to an unknown place further away.

Each of those rays of light seemed to hold a mysterious charm.

However, those scattered rays of light, leading to various parts of space, began to break off one by one at a certain point.

Xuanxi Tianjun lowered his eyes, flicked his finger, and sent these spiritual lights into the void.

He withdrew his hand, looked up as the storm he had just stirred up dissipated, and the spirit sword had returned to Wang Shu Shaojun's hand. His face was a little pale as he said, "There's a problem."

Those threads of light were causal lines, yet they were broken within this spatial rift, clearly indicating that something was influencing or severing them. Xuanxi Tianjun had never encountered anything like this since his birth, yet he also knew that anything capable of severing these causal lines was no ordinary being. Such a thing would never happen in a normal spatial rift. He warily cast his cold eyes towards a distant point in the space, the place where the causal lines were being affected, and whispered to Wangshu Shaojun, "Let's stay away from there."

Although Wang Shu Shaojun was arrogant, he listened to his lover's intuition at this moment and touched Xiao Liu's snake body.

Little Willow carried them away to a more distant place.

This time, it flew very carefully, for fear of disturbing the space.

Upon arriving at a certain place, Wangshu Shaojun had Xiao Jiu transform into a palm-sized snake and tossed it to Liudao Xianjun, who had just regained his strength.

The small, emerald-green snake hung around the young immortal's neck, like a green necklace.

"What does this mean?" the Six Paths Immortal Lord asked curiously.

"I'm afraid there's danger. You need to protect my Xiao Liu." Young Master Wang Shu would never send Xiao Liu to her death as a demon snake at this time.

Xiang Liu is dead and ferocious, yet he still needs my protection?

While inwardly grumbling, Liu Dao Xianjun dejectedly took out his Soul-Startling Bell to warn his surroundings, and casually pulled the small snake off his neck, carefully stuffing it into his clothes.

When the little snake was tucked into the robe, it stared intently at the young immortal.

"Could it be some kind of treasure?" To be honest, Wang Shu Shaojun genuinely thought that if it were a treasure, it wouldn't be bad.

However, she was still self-aware. Although she and Xuanxi Tianjun were powerful enough to turn the world upside down, they were nothing compared to these strange places. Even the treasures were beyond her means.

She only mumbled something, and seeing that everyone present was calm, she was unable to cause any spatial anomalies. Xuanxi Tianjun was scanning the area when she threw her spirit sword into the air. Streaks of sword light descended from above, protecting them all. She said softly, "I have to get out of here quickly."

Who knows if the Heavenly Emperor, while away from home, might take his anger out on his subjects?

She enjoyed the quiet and warm time she spent with Xuanxi Tianjun, but she couldn't ignore the fact that her subjects were living in danger outside.

Moreover, having obtained the jade seal, she is the rightful ruler of the Northern Divine Kingdom, and therefore cannot indulge in mere romantic feelings.

“That’s why it’s strange,” Xuanxi Tianjun said in a low voice. “I’ve been here for so long, why hasn’t the Heavenly Emperor come to save me?”

When the Heavenly Emperor opened the spatial rift and discovered that his disciple had also unfortunately entered, shouldn't he have immediately reopened the space to bring him out?

He is the Heavenly Emperor's only disciple.

Xuanxi Tianjun had never considered that the Heavenly Emperor could actually take on a closed-door disciple after his death, and his expression became even more solemn.

If the Heavenly Emperor saves him, only to find that he can no longer split open this space, then things will get really messy.

Upon seeing the strangeness of this space, Wang Shu Shaojun also cursed the Heavenly Emperor as a worthless scoundrel in his heart.

If she were imprisoned alone, she would really be doomed.

She was inwardly cursing the Heavenly Emperor when she suddenly heard a huge roar coming from an unknown place, as if space was shattering or a violent impact. She looked in surprise at the source of the loud noise and saw two huge hands made of spiritual energy appear out of thin air not far from where the Xuanxi Heavenly Lord's causal threads were being torn apart.

One hand was broad and thick, a man's large hand; the other was slender and long, more like a woman's hand. The two hands seemed to be arguing, exchanging blows across each other in the air, before finally working together to pierce into the space around them.

As these two enormous hands began to tear at space, Wang Shu Shaojun looked in horror at the distant node.

As if something dormant had been awakened, she clearly felt that the space and spiritual energy in that area began to stir.

Almost instantly, as the two large hands exerted force simultaneously, violently stirring up the wind and clouds in that area, Wang Shu Shaojun heard a tremendous roar coming from outside.

"Xuanxi!" The deep and imposing voice of the middle-aged man actually came from the Heavenly Emperor.

However, just as she was thinking that Xuanxi Tianjun was indeed worthy of being the Heavenly Emperor's beloved disciple, another voice made her freeze on the spot.

"Wangshu!" A familiar female voice called out, causing her to freeze as she stared at the place that was slowly condensing into a terrifying storm, unleashing an incomparably powerful force that even shredded the two giant hands and devoured space itself.
