There she saw an enormous garden, filled with beautiful jade trees and magnificent flowers, as well as huge jade plaques and towering pavilions—it seemed like a truly excellent working environment. On the spacious white jade plaza, several enormous demonic beasts were pulling a millstone, bound by ropes.
The huge stone slab was turning, and the monsters were crying as they pulled the millstone while gnawing on a pouch around their necks.
Inside, all sorts of magical herbs were sprouting out.
Although pulling a millstone looks a bit tough, the conditions aren't bad.
Wang Shu Shaojun breathed a sigh of relief, then flew into a rage.
She felt that the Heavenly Emperor was truly incomprehensible. He hadn't done anything particularly heinous, yet he refused to explain himself, as if he wanted to be hated.
Always stirring up hatred, this Heavenly Emperor must have had particularly bad luck in the Three Realms before.
When she expressed her indignation, Xuanxi Tianjun said tactfully, "You don't have many enemies."
"What do you mean?" How could the Heavenly Emperor, with his limited celestial connections, possibly have any good friends?
"They are no longer within the Three Realms," Xuanxi Heavenly Lord continued cryptically.
"Could it be that he..." Wang Shu Shaojun's eyes widened, and he suddenly felt that the Heavenly Emperor was indeed very powerful.
Being able to eliminate all enemies and become the supreme ruler of the three realms would be quite powerful.
"They have all gone to the Upper Realm." Xuanxi Tianjun looked at his increasingly lively lover, his eyes filled with happiness. In that moment, she felt a great weight lifted from her shoulders; the heavy burden and pain that had weighed on her heart vanished.
She could no longer recall how she felt when she heard the Heavenly Emperor's summons say that the naive and reckless demon beasts under her command had died in some unknown place, leaving no trace of their bodies.
It was too painful; I couldn't even shed tears. All I felt was boundless hatred for the Heavenly Emperor.
Now, she would give anything for this happiness.
“Let’s go home,” she said gently.
The monsters that were loudly complaining about their years of grinding grain with their hairy claws on their heads all stopped.
Their enormous eyes widened as they looked at their lord.
"Go home!" Soon, a roar that seemed to shake the entire Celestial Court came from their mouths. The huge monsters shouted happily and rolled around on the ground.
That joyful expression made Wang Shu Shaojun feel that everything was worthwhile.
"Don't stay in the Celestial Court, we don't like it. Let's go back to the North!" The demons rubbed against Wangshu Shaojun's body and pleaded loudly.
They disliked the bustling yet meticulously designed Celestial Court, where one had to carefully tiptoe to avoid shedding fur, being born, or wagging their tails—a harsh and demanding place. They preferred to frolic freely, even though all the immortals said the North was a barren and desolate place; they still felt it was the happiest place there. Seeing Wang Shu Shaojun nod with a smile in agreement, one of the giant beasts roared and eagerly reached for Wang Shu Shaojun's collar, wanting her to ride on its back.
Xuanxi Tianjun pressed down on the monster's big mouth.
He held the creature's fangs, squinting as he examined it.
This is only a male.
“This is my Daoist partner.” Wang Shu Shaojun was helpless when he saw that even demonic beasts were jealous of him.
"Is it for mating?" A demonic beast looked at Xuanxi Tianjun curiously, then waved its furry paws in disgust and exclaimed, "Ugh... no fur, how ugly."
"Really, it's bare and really doesn't look good."
"Still skinny, all skin and bones, how can he have the strength to mate?"
Wang Shu Shaojun had to lower his head desperately to avoid looking at his Ah Xuan's expressionless face, which was filled with anger.
"Um... even though you're not pretty, I still love you," she said with difficulty.
