Chapter 48 Rebirth in the Entertainment Industry (Part Six)

"Playing the big shot." Director Song suddenly felt he understood.

He looked the young man up and down, but found him unfamiliar and couldn't remember which celebrity he was.

His good friend is also a very famous director. Unlike his extreme failures, he is very balanced in both TV series and movies. He doesn't have any TV series that are huge hits, but he also doesn't have any movies that are complete flops.

He's mediocre, but very reliable, and of course, very capable. To dare to act like a diva on his set is just asking for trouble.

"A big shot?! He's no big shot at all!" The good friend was clearly a short-tempered guy. Upon hearing Song Yihe's words, he immediately pointed at the pale-faced young man in front of him and cursed, "A third-rate starlet dares to act like a big shot in my crew?! Go out and see for yourself! Even the extras are more famous than you!"

He launched into a tirade of curses, his words flowing like a torrent, his voice carrying far and wide, attracting the attention of the crew members who came to watch him rant. Among them were many who disliked Zhou Chen's sudden outburst and were gloating.

An unknown minor celebrity somehow managed to get ahead of them, and they'd been holding their breath for a long time. Now that they'd offended the director, who wouldn't be secretly delighted?

"Forget it, let's consider his powerful backer." Since he can play the male lead even though he's not famous, he must have a sugar daddy. Song Yihe offered a half-hearted piece of advice, whispering, "For the sake of the investment."

Director Song was just desperately trying to please the investors because of them.

"If you're late again, get out of the crew!" Director Song's good friend had already vented his anger, but as his senses returned, he remembered that this little star had powerful connections. He waved his hand impatiently, telling him to go change his clothes, before turning around and asking with an unfriendly expression, "You don't come here unless you need something. You've been coming a bit too often these past few days, haven't you?"

The old man, with his round belly and shifty eyes, immediately put the director on guard. He frowned, involuntarily shivering, and shooed him away, saying, "Film crew shooting, no outsiders allowed."

Director Song gave a fawning smile.

"I'll send you a promising talent." His chubby face beamed as he chuckled at his old friend, "Didn't you need... that... the number one demoness in the history of the Demonic Sect?"

"What's wrong?"

"Xiao Lü, come here." Song Yihe called Shen Wangshu over in a sweet voice. Seeing his old friend hesitate for a moment, he immediately pointed at Shen Wangshu and said earnestly, "Look at this image! Isn't it perfect?! Xiao Lü is a talent in our crew. She has excellent acting skills and is very hardworking! If we weren't good friends, I wouldn't be willing to lend her to you."

He sighed repeatedly, looking concerned for his old friend. Seeing Shen Wangshu politely greeting his old friend, he exclaimed with emotion, "What a polite young man! There aren't many like him these days!"

He thought his smile was particularly amiable, but it was actually full of lewdness.

However, the director glanced at Shen Wangshu and hesitated for a moment.

"Her appearance is fine, but you old man never play matchmaker for others, so why are you recommending her so earnestly?"

Shen Wangshu was so beautiful, she looked exactly like a vixen, and the director's gaze towards Song Yihe immediately became somewhat suspicious.

Could this fat guy be engaging in some kind of underhanded espionage?

"For the growth of the next generation, for art..." Of course, it's also for investment, but Director Song is a shy person and especially likes to be reserved.

His good friend twitched his lips, but he and Song Yihe had been friends for many years, and it wasn't a particularly important role, so he was naturally willing to give Song Yihe face. Besides, Shen Wangshu's image was indeed quite good, charming and alluring. If filmed well, she would indeed be a bewitching beauty who could charm the world.

It's not a very important role. He looked Shen Wangshu over for a while before saying, "Let's change her clothes and see how she looks. If it's okay, then she's the one." He paused and then complained to Song Yihe, "There's been a lot going on in the crew lately, and I still haven't been cast as the second female lead. I'm not happy about it."

When I'm unhappy, I have to swear.

Seeing Zhou Chen still standing there dumbfounded in front of him, staring blankly at Shen Wangshu as if she were in a daze, showing no intention of obeying his order to change her clothes, he was instantly enraged.

"What are you doing?!" he yelled. "Does my word not carry weight?!" He continued to complain to Song Yihe, "The crew has been filming for ten days, and we've been late eight days and left two days early. And this person can't act, that person can't act—it's so troublesome!"

He recounted his hardships, wiped his face, and, not wanting to say anything more, sighed, "If I had known, I wouldn't have accepted Mr. Song's investment. I don't even know if I can keep this brand." This guy, who has neither acting skills nor attitude, has absolutely no redeeming qualities.

Compared to the male lead, Shen Wangshu, who also brought her own investment to the project, is simply an angel!

Song Yihe proudly puffed out his belly, and even found Shen Wangshu more agreeable.

Zhou Chen was looking at Shen Wangshu in surprise, unable to believe that Song Yihe had personally brought Shen Wangshu to be forced into his film crew. Hearing the director's complaint, his face immediately turned red.

He didn't want to be late or leave early, but President Song was now particularly infatuated with him. Not only did she want to see him every day, but she would also definitely keep him in the room and make love to him, making him feel like he was dying and his whole body was in pain.

I don't know where Mr. Song found so many tricks. He works so hard every day, of course he's not in good shape, and he doesn't dare to argue with Mr. Song. Once Mr. Song makes advances, even if he's in so much pain he can't bear it, he has to grit his teeth and open his legs. Mr. Song isn't considerate. Even if he knows he has to work, he won't let him go.
