Mr. Shen's eyes immediately froze, staring intently at his wife's voluptuous body. He reached out to hug her, but Shen Wangshu smiled slyly, jumped off the bed, her snow-white feet disappearing into the thick blanket, and said with a grin, "I'm going to check on Coco. You hurry up and get dressed."
She skipped and hopped away.
Shen Xuan silently got up and went to take his fourth cold shower.
"How was yesterday's show?" This was Shen Wangshu's first time on a show after gaining some fame, and Lü Ke was extremely worried, so she grabbed Shen Wangshu and asked anxiously.
"With President Shen here, we don't need to worry about anything." Zhang Tongzhou elegantly spread a slice of bread, thickly covered with jam, and handed it to Lü Ke with a smile.
Lu Ke wanted to refuse this annoying lackey of Shen Xuan, but when she saw the strawberry jam she liked spread on the bread, she had no choice but to accept it and thank him.
A glint of shrewdness flashed in Zhang Tongzhou's fox-like eyes.
Shen Wangshu looked down at the bread she had personally spread for Lü Ke, pouted, and saw Lü Ke eat the piece in her hand in a few bites. She hurriedly and attentively offered it to Lü Ke.
"There's a bug in it!" Zhang Tongzhou pointed at the bread slice in her hand, snatched it away with a serious expression, and stuffed it into the hand of Shen Xuan, who had followed him, while smilingly offering it as a condescending gesture, "President Shen, come and try Miss Lü's bread slice!"
Lu Ke silently gathered her strength, glaring at Zhang Tongzhou with a face full of hatred.
Mr. Zhang gave a kind smile.
"Want another slice?" He smiled and pulled out a slice of bread, spreading a thick layer of strawberry jam on it again. In the blink of an eye, a whole jar of jam disappeared onto Lü Ke's bread slice.
Lu Ke was about to refuse sternly, but looking at the thick, almost overflowing jam, he politely said "no," but his hand honestly took the bread and stuffed it into his mouth in a depressed mood.
Jam lovers can't resist!
Zhang Tongzhou smiled and pushed up his glasses.
He glanced at the strawberry jam he had already devoured on the table, turned around and asked the waiter to bring him two more jars. He was just about to spread the jam on his hands and hand it to Lü Ke when a chubby paw snatched it away.
Having just experienced the incident of having his bread slices stolen, Zhang Tongzhou narrowed his shrewd eyes and saw Song Yihe, whose physique was now severely overweight, struggling to sit down next to him, immediately pushing the tall and slender CEO Zhang out of his chair. Song Yihe contentedly occupied half the table, happily munching on his bread slices.
Meng Fangfei arrived with an air of elegance, and her lips twitched slightly as she looked at the old man.
"Director Song, you have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and high blood sugar, so eat less sweets." Seeing that Director Song was pretending not to hear and reaching for the oily, fragrant sausage, Meng Fangfei tried her best to maintain a smile and said, "Eat less greasy food."
Song Yihe thinks his female lead is really annoying.
He wiggled his big butt and hummed twice, quickly devouring a plate of small grilled sausages. He obediently nodded and said, "I won't eat anymore, I'll listen to Xiao Meng."
While sipping a glass of milk, he complained to Shen Wangshu with a hiccup, "Xiao Lü didn't answer my calls yesterday. Does he not consider me a director anymore?" He must have already known about the gossip that happened last night, and lamented, "If I had known it was this exciting, I should have gone with you guys. I never expected it to be him, it was him!"
His eyes bulged with excitement, and he chuckled, "So it's President Song."
President Song is not a novice like Shen Xuan; he has previously mentored several minor artists.
Director Song was quite impressed with this President Song, and also envied Director Song's various romantic encounters.
"Director Song?" This unusual excitement is quite worrying.
"If I had known Zhou Chen was this capable, why would I have bothered with the show? I could have just thrown in a scandal about unspoken rules, and the drama would have become an instant hit."
Director Song, a renowned director who had previously exploited unspoken rules, naturally knew the process. With his rich experience, he shared his insights with the astonished audience, saying, "This is so topical, how perfect! As long as Zhou Chen makes some sacrifices, won't the ratings for 'The Swordsman of Tianshan' explode? We can always clear his name later." He patted his fat belly and shook his head.
"My Shushu doesn't engage in hype!" Shen Xuan became wary when he saw Song Yihe's shameless behavior.
This guy is so good at hyping things up, I hope he doesn't end up hyping up Shen Wangshu's character in "The Palace Beauty".
"Don't worry, my crew doesn't use any underhanded methods." Director Song had clearly forgotten about the lighting technician from back then.
However, the chubby director was indeed a little disappointed.
He originally intended to hype up the story of Shen Wangshu and Shen Xuan as a couple fighting in the martial arts world, and to promote the theory of true love.
"The Legend of the Swordsman of Tianshan is almost over, so we'll take over their show." The Legend of the Swordsman of Tianshan was originally planned to have more than fifty episodes, but the ratings were so bad that even though his good friend racked his brains and even took advantage of Shen Wangshu's inexplicable popularity, it was all in vain. The more than fifty episodes of the TV series were cut down to forty episodes. If it weren't for the fact that the TV station had bought the entire series, they would have already paid and taken the show off long ago.
It's not really worthwhile for Song Il-ha to have his new drama air after "The Swordsman of Tianshan" because his previous drama had too few viewers.
Director Song was somewhat worried about how much viewership he could recover.
Although Song Yihe never flops in TV dramas, he's under a lot of pressure.
“We can cut out some behind-the-scenes footage online,” Shen Wangshu said with a smile after thinking for a moment. “Director Song can think of that himself. The internet is booming now, and many young people like to find fresh topics online. Our TV series is well-made, but we still need to promote it so people know that it’s good, right? You can cut out a long trailer, add some classic scenes, like sisters turning against each other and vying for favor in the palace, or love triangles between concubines, guards, and imperial physicians. We don’t need to go overboard and lower your standards; we just need controversial topics.”
