Chapter 71 On the Downfall of the Stallion Male Protagonist (Part Two)

She did indeed possess many treasures, and Lingxiao was even an excellent alchemist, but this had nothing to do with Yue Xizhi.

With this ability, she might as well refine more elixirs to win over cultivators who are more grateful.

She leisurely fiddled with the storage bracelet that shimmered with spiritual light, her gaze somewhat dazed.

Ah Xuan has been an outstanding person in every lifetime, and this lifetime should be no exception.

He always tried his best to find her as quickly as possible, telling her to stay put and wait patiently.

But how long will it take him to find her in this life?

If he returned to her side, Shen Wangshu would be even more willing to refine elixirs to nourish her husband.

She wasn't worried that Ah Xuan wouldn't come looking for her; she just wondered in her heart when he would appear in this life and in what form he would appear. As she thought about it, she smiled with anticipation.

A breathtaking smile curved her lips, breaking the usual cold indifference of her face, making her even more radiant than spring blossoms. Her smile was beautiful. The fluffy white fox, seemingly having had a good sleep, wiggled its ears and climbed out of its den. It seemed intrigued by its new home, curiously scratching its warm fur with its paw before squeaking in alarm.

When it came to its senses, it realized it was not by Shen Wangshu's side and frantically searched for her.

Upon discovering that Shen Wangshu was right across from it, it rubbed against its little kennel unhappily.

It rolled around in its nest to show that it was angry, but it didn't get any comforting or even a kiss from Shen Wangshu. So it stood up from its nest.

It met Shen Wangshu's smile directly, and in that exquisite smile, it couldn't help but stare blankly.

The little fox tucked its tail under its belly, carefully placed its furry paws on the edge of its den, rested its little head on its paws, and silently watched the smile.

It didn't understand the meaning of that smile, but it couldn't bear to look away.

"It's awake?" Shen Wangshu saw the fox peeking out of its den and smiled as she pulled it out.

Holding it in her arms, Shen Wangshu smiled and pinched its pointed ears.

The fox hummed contentedly, stretching out its little head and tugging its ears into Shen Wangshu's hand, as if wanting to be pinched a little more.

Looking at its spoiled appearance, Shen Wangshu smiled and lowered her head to kiss its little head. But the fox snorted and took advantage of the situation, turning over to reveal its fluffy, soft little belly.

A fluffy, large tail draped shyly over its belly, swaying left and right.

"You want me to kiss your belly?" Shen Wangshu asked with a smile, meeting the fox's expectant gaze.

Its tail wagged even more eagerly.

"No way." Shen Wangshu, without blushing, pulled the fox's hind legs apart to take a look, snorted, and covered it again with her tail amidst the fox's puzzled squeaks. She said seriously, "How can you let this fairy kiss your belly? You're a boy!"

She refused decisively, but a playful smile played on her lips as she watched the fox, bewildered and innocent, pull open its tail with its tiny paws and peer under its hind legs. She couldn't help but chuckle. The smile was exquisitely beautiful, and the fox raised its fluffy little head.

It disregarded what was on its hind legs and propped its head up, wanting to lick Shen Wangshu's face.

Shen Wangshu was looking down when the fox's bright red tongue licked the corner of her mouth.

Shen Wangshu disagreed and tapped its little head.

The fox, however, was still not satisfied, its round, dark fox eyes fixed on the corner of her mouth.

It seems to be...sweet; a lick brings a warm and happy feeling from the bottom of my heart...

Shen Wangshu was clearly very indulgent towards the fox.

Even after the furry ball protested with its paws, the fox's den was moved to her ice bed.

The fluffy fox peeked out from its den. Satisfied, it surveyed its future territory, and seeing itself sleeping next to Shen Wangshu, it nodded its little head in satisfaction.

It even snuggled up to sleep with Shen Wangshu.

As a cultivator, Shen Wangshu was no longer sleepy, but seeing the fox's expectant, round eyes looking at her with moist eyes, she felt that refusing would hurt the fox's young heart. She smiled and leaned against the ice bed, pretending to doze off. She felt a rustling sound coming from the little den. When she opened her eyes, she saw the furry ball struggling to crawl out of the den, rubbing against her side on the ice bed, huffing and puffing as it climbed up to her, and then curled up contentedly in her arms.

Perhaps because Shen Wangshu was the one who saved it, the fox regarded her as a very close person.

Shen Wangshu didn't throw the fox, who was fast asleep in her arms, back into its den, and was both amused and exasperated.

It seems she has created a little trouble for herself.

She sat peacefully on the ice bed, holding the fox, and when the sun rose the next day, she carried the fox outside the cave.

Outside the cave, all was still desolate, with only the endless snow reflecting in Shen Wangshu's eyes.

Standing atop this deserted, icy peak, surrounded by emptiness, Shen Wangshu couldn't help but sigh.

Sensing her loneliness, the little furball quickly scratched Shen Wangshu's hand with its tiny paws.

"Junior Sister!" Just as the fluffy little thing was trying its best to comfort Shen Wangshu with its warmth, a tender voice called out from the distant horizon.

In the blink of an eye, a streak of light pierced the sky, falling from the clouds to land before Shen Wangshu. As the light dissipated, Xi Wu Daojun, dressed in flowing robes, smiled charmingly at Shen Wangshu. His elegant figure, smiling eyes, and handsome features illuminated the entire room. He swiftly opened his folding fan, concealing his refined chin, revealing only a pair of gleaming eyes.
