Shen Wangshu hesitated for a moment.
"Daddy doesn't want Xiaoxi anymore, Xiaoxi is so scared." Gao Xi raised her snow-white little face with tears in her eyes, looking pitiful.
The child was sold by Gao Sen, and he must have been terrified and heartbroken.
Shen Wangshu looked down and saw tears welling up in the child's clear eyes as he bit his lip and looked at her. Her heart softened instantly. She looked at Gao Xi, who was timidly twisting his little hands and looking at her, and then at Lei Tian, who was looking up at her expectantly. After hesitating for a moment, she said to Lei Xuan, "I'll sleep with the two children these few days." The children are so young, and they get scared easily by the smallest things, even though Shen Wangshu originally wanted to sleep with Lei Xuan.
However, there's plenty of time in the future, so it's best to tell the two children not to be afraid for now.
Lei Xuan's dark eyes slowly swept over the timid Gao Xi and the chubby little boy wiggling his bottom and shouting "Three Little Pigs!"
He suddenly stood up and looked down at the two little creatures.
The children shivered and huddled together, looking up at the imposing man with awe.
A hint of longing also appeared in Gao Xi's eyes.
He was afraid of the cold and silent Lei Xuan, yet he also wanted to become such a powerful adult.
Upon seeing Lei Xuan, young Gao Xi felt that perhaps only by becoming such a reliable man could he protect the people he wanted to protect.
Lei, who was deeply admired by everyone, bent down, held the little fat boy under his arm, and carried Gao Xi, who was looking at him with his little hand in his mouth, past Shen Wangshu.
Shen Wangshu paused for a moment, then saw the two children being taken away. She hurriedly chased after Lei Xuan upstairs, laughing, "Slow down the whipping, the little leather whip isn't ready yet." She wasn't stupid; she could naturally see that Lei Xuan was incredibly frustrated. Since there were no outsiders around, it was a good opportunity to connect with the two children. They say strict fathers and kind mothers, and this was starting to feel that way.
Shen Wangshu was kind and loving, so Lei Xuan naturally had to be the strict one.
She was thinking about her future life as a family of four, and she almost laughed out loud when she saw Lei Xuan leading the two children into Gao Xi's children's room.
The children's room had been completely transformed. Throughout the day, it seemed as if Sheng's mother wanted to shower Gao Xi with all her love, decorating the room with toys and games that children love. Beautiful doodles adorned the walls, and storybooks and quirky toys littered the small bed. Lei Xuan went straight to the sky-blue bed, tossed the two children onto it, and unbuttoned his suit jacket.
"I'll never do it again!" The fat knight, who had clearly been beaten before, immediately clung to the leg.
"Auntie, save me!" Gao Xi was a little more cunning. Knowing that begging wouldn't work, she waved her little paws to call for help.
His aunt only gave him a gentle smile in response and then closed the door for Mr. Lei.
She leaned against the doorway with her arms crossed, watching the tall man across from her unbutton his suit jacket, revealing only a thin shirt that almost showed the bulging lines beneath.
She blushed slightly, remembering how the man had opened his shirt to reveal his muscular chest, but her gaze lingered on his powerful and strong body. She watched as Lei Xuan rolled up his shirt sleeves, revealing a pair of well-defined muscles. She couldn't help but imagine the strength and steadiness of those arms when she was held captive in their embrace.
Shen Wangshu was so engrossed in watching that he completely forgot about the two children's cries for help.
Lei Xuan tilted his head slightly, meeting Shen Wangshu's gaze. He lowered his eyes, thought for a moment, and silently unbuttoned the shirt he had just buttoned.
He thought about it again, looked down at his suit trousers, and hesitated for a moment.
He didn't actually take off his pants; he simply leaned down and enveloped the two children, who were howling and writhing on the small bed, desperately finding no place to hide.
When Shen Wangshu saw Lei Xuan reach out to the two children, she couldn't help but smile. She walked over and saw the two children sticking their little bottoms out and burying their heads under the blankets, feeling completely safe with their bottoms sticking up high. She reached out and pinched each of their soft little bottoms before hugging Lei Xuan's strong waist and saying with a smile, "Kids are so easy to bully."
Lei Xuan turned around and kissed her cheek.
Then, he picked up a fairy tale book and looked at it; it was Snow White.
He frowned, about to pretend nothing had happened and throw the book away, when he saw two little bottoms twitch across from him, and two children peeked out.
Lei calmly gripped the book, his expression blank, and sat solemnly on the small bed. He pulled Shen Wangshu into his arms and hugged her, his long legs also draped over the bed.
His legs were long and strong, forcing him to bend over on the small bed, as if he were holding Shen Wangshu tightly in his arms. Seeing the envious eyes of the two children, he coldly waved his hand, and a cheer was heard. The two children rushed into his arms like little cannonballs. He leaned against the bed with his legs bent, holding the two bright-eyed darlings in his arms.
At that moment, he realized that these three were indeed his treasures.
He stretched out his strong arms and pulled the three giggling babies into his embrace.
“Tell me a story.” Gao Xi had never been held like this before, not even by his father Gao Sen. He nudged Lei Xuan’s arm with affection.
Even when Sheng Jia was still alive, Gao Sen's greatest act of affection for him was to lift him up and kiss him.
After his mother died, Gao Sen never even touched his head again.
Lei Xuan, who now seems cold and ruthless, would hold him in his arms, making Gao Xi feel a deep sense of longing.
