Chapter 14 Miss Xie's Broken Engagement

While Jing Yan was reminiscing, Xie Shizhu poured him a glass of warm water, pushed it in front of Jing Yan, and said slowly: "Someone is more anxious than Jing Cheng for you to become the vice president."

Hearing this, Jing Yan subconsciously thought of Liu Lan.

Jing Yan picked up the glass, put his thin lips close to the rim, took a sip, and a cold look flashed in his eyes.

After he put down the cup, he said, "Lin Xingsi came to see me today..."

"He is looking for you because he wants to cooperate with you, right?"

Jing Yan looked at her in surprise, "How did you know?"

"Last time at the dinner, I was surrounded by Cheng Siyu and a few others, and I heard Lin Xingsi talking about this," Xie Shizhu smiled slightly. "When you became the vice president, Jing Cheng was lying when he said he wasn't anxious. He wanted to bring you down, so he discussed with Lin Xingsi to dump this mess on you."

Jing Yan was just about to pick up his chopsticks when he was surprised by Xie Shizhu's words. He looked up at her, thinking he had misheard, and asked, "Huh? What?"

Xie Shizhu raised his eyebrows and said, "Let Liu Lan take the bait."

Jing Yan's deep eyes flickered, his heartbeat still pounding. He smiled softly, "Okay."

Xie Shizhu handed the chopsticks back to him. "Last time at the banquet, I was surrounded by a few people. Did Mr. Jing enjoy seeing them?"

Jing Yan took the chopsticks and paused for a moment, wondering how Xie Shizhu had discovered him. "You..."

Xie Shizhu seemed to know what he was going to say, and his clear eyes stared at Jing Yan: "There is a glass window next to you and the assistant, and I saw the reflection."

Jing Yan: “…”

Seeing that he remained silent, Xie Shizhu smiled and said, "Okay, continue eating. Don't waste it."

Jing Yan withdrew his gaze and lowered his head to eat the noodles that seemed to have been filled with a whole bag of salt.

Xie Shizhu stared at him as he ate his meal slowly, a cunning look of having successfully played a prank flashing in his eyes.
