After Jiang Yubai coaxed the little girl to sleep, he returned to the villa and his eyes moved to the door not far away that was slightly open.
Suddenly, a loud gunshot was heard from the second floor. From the sound, it was clear that it was different from an ordinary gun. Then Xie Shizhu's scream was heard.
Jiang Yubai took long steps and went straight upstairs. He stood in front of the tightly closed door. A thick smell of blood wafted from inside and reached his nose.
He quickly opened the door and saw the scene in front of him, with surprise flashing across his face.
Xie Shizhu was holding a gun in his hand, his shoulders shaking, while Lu Chuan was lying on the ground, shot in the shoulder, breathing hard.
Xie Shizhu also threw something similar to pepper spray at his feet. Lu Chuan closed his eyes and a muffled groan came out of his throat.
Jiang Yubai was slightly stunned, staring at the gun in Xie Shizhu's hand.
The system swallowed its saliva: [You scared me, host, when did you hide the pepper spray under your pillow?]
Xie Shizhu raised his eyebrows and asked, "Are you surprised or not?"
The system gave a thumbs up: [Awesome!]
Xie Shizhu quickly got off the bed, his eyes red and wet. He hid behind Jiang Yubai and trembled as he said, "Why is he here... I saw him trying to shoot me just now, so I punched him with the fighting skills you taught me..."
Just when Lu Chuan wanted to shoot in revenge, Xie Shizhu touched the pepper spray under the pillow and sprayed it directly into Lu Chuan's eyes. After the other party's eyes were stung, he quickly snatched the gun from Lu Chuan's hand, raised his arm, clenched his fist, and shot Lu Chuan in the face.
The continuous pain made Lu Chuan fall to the ground.
Xie Shizhu sat on the bed and shot Lu Chuan in the shoulder without hesitation, then screamed symbolically.
Jiang Yubai's slender arm went around her back, holding her wrist tightly. He looked down at Lu Chuan lying on the ground in pain, and whispered to her in a soothing voice, "You did very well. Don't be afraid. He won't hurt you again."
His words worked, Xie Shizhu suppressed his fear and nodded.
There were rustling footsteps outside. Jiang Yubai signaled Xie Shizhu not to speak and pulled her to hide behind the door.
Immediately afterwards, Xu Hanshuang walked in. When she saw that the person lying on the ground was Lu Chuan and not Xie Shizhu, she took a breath and hurried over to check Lu Chuan's injuries.
Lu Chuan struggled to open his eyes, only to see Xu Hanshuang's worried expression. He vaguely saw a man and a woman standing behind the door, gritting their teeth and saying to Xu Hanshuang, "Be careful behind you..."
Xu Hanshuang turned her head immediately after hearing this, but before she could see clearly, she had already fainted.
After Xu Hanshuang woke up, he was locked up again with Lu Chuan beside him.
Lu Chuan's face was pale, his eyebrows were tightly knitted together, and he covered his injured shoulder with one hand, looking in great pain.
But apart from the two of them, the two middle-aged men had disappeared.
Xu Hanshuang has always been strong, but now she feels like crying.

Xie Shizhu was eating when she saw Jiang Yubai holding a dirty little bear doll in his hand. She put down her chopsticks and asked curiously, "Is this a gift for me?"
Jiang Yubai sat down opposite her, hesitated for a moment, and handed the doll in his hand to her: "Do you like it?"
Xie Shizhu nodded seriously.
Jiang Yubai chuckled and gave her the teddy bear.
Xie Shizhu lowered her head and played with the little bear's ears. After a few minutes, she looked up, her face full of worry. "I heard from other zombies that the principal and that man are already here, and they can't be found."
Jiang Yubai reached out and touched her head: "Don't be afraid."
Xie Shizhu bit his lower lip, put the doll in his hand on his legs, and saw that the beef ramen in front of him was almost cold. He didn't care about it and picked up the chopsticks to continue eating.
Jiang Yubai just looked at her quietly.
Suddenly there was a commotion outside, and the principal that Xie Shizhu mentioned appeared in front of them.
He created the zombies, so he easily subdued the zombies outside. He was holding a special spray in his hand. Once a zombie inhaled it, it would instantly lose consciousness and collapse to the ground.
Jiang Yubai stood up instantly and said in a low voice, "Don't come out."
Xie Shizhu's face was pale, and he hadn't swallowed the noodles yet. He stared blankly at the messy scene outside.
Jiang Yubai left just as Lin Xin came in. She naturally sat in front of Xie Shizhu, glanced at her face, and sneered, "Now let's see how Jiang Yubai is going to save you."
Xie Shizhu was stunned, his beautiful and clear eyes filled with some confusion, as if he didn't understand the meaning of her words.
Lin Xin looked at her innocent appearance with a mocking expression.
Being able to live to this day is really a blessing for fools.
While Xie Shizhu was surprised, Lin Xin suddenly stood up, raised her hands and attacked her neck. Before she could touch Xie Shizhu, the other party quickly picked up the bowl in front of him and poured the boiling hot noodle soup on Lin Xin's face.
Lin Xin was stunned. Her face was covered in the soup, with some noodles still stuck to her cheeks. She inhaled the spicy soup into her nose.
She withdrew her hand and wiped the noodles off her face. Just as she cleared the obstruction in front of her eyes and continued to want to get rid of Xie Shizhu, what caught her eye was the black muzzle of a gun.
Although Lin Xin was shocked, she quickly regained her composure. She narrowed her eyes slightly and sneered, "Do you really think an ordinary gun can kill me?"
As soon as the words fell, Xie Shizhu looked at her calmly, his plump red lips slightly curled, and he said slowly: "Take a closer look at what I'm holding in my hand?"
Lin Xin's eyes fixed, and then she looked at the gun in Xie Shizhu's hand. Her originally calm expression instantly collapsed.
