Chapter 74: Cannon Fodder in the Old Sadistic Story 25

Xie Shizhu frowned and quickly walked to the waiter. When the man raised his hand to continue venting his anger, she blocked his arm with her hand and said calmly, "You really think you are the boss by spending money here?"

The waiter was stunned. Seeing Xie Shizhu helping him, he had a bad feeling in his heart.

It was common for drunk guests like this to act crazy. Just a few words could provoke the other party's anger. At most, he would be slapped a few times and the matter would be over. But Xie Shizhu helped him. These people would do terrible things when they saw a woman.

"Xie Shizhu," the waiter said in a trembling voice, "please leave quickly. There's nothing for you here."

Xie Shizhu remained motionless. "Are you not hurt?"

The waiter's right cheek was already red and swollen, but he still denied it, "I'm not hurt."

The drunk man staggered, raised his finger, pointed at Xie Shizhu's face, and said with his eyes narrowed into a line, "Are you the street singer? You didn't give me your contact information last time I asked for it, but this time you took the initiative to bring it to my door."

After the man finished speaking, he reached out to touch Xie Shizhu's face, but was slapped down by the waiter.

"Who do you think you are?" The man's face changed. "How dare you touch my hand? Do you know who I am?"

The waiter had made up his mind that the worst that could happen was that he would be fired, but he would not allow such a dirty hand to touch a woman.

Xie Shizhu asked calmly, "No matter who you are, hitting someone is wrong. Does that mean you can do whatever you want just because you're drunk?"

The man laughed for a long time because of her words and said, "Even if I'm not drunk, I can still do whatever I want. Do you know the Wu family? It's the Wu Group in the real estate industry. I'm from the Wu family. Do you really think I'm afraid of trouble?"

Xie Shizhu sneered in his heart, this is what it means to die from talking too much.

When the waiter heard the name Wu Group, his face turned pale with fright.

Xie Shizhu caught a glimpse of several people walking towards them. Among them was a tall man surrounded by a group of people. She looked away and said to the man, "I don't know, but since you hit someone, I demand an apology."

The man sneered: "Apologize? You must be dreaming."

As soon as he finished speaking, the man reached out and grabbed Xie Shizhu's arm, pulling her into the box. He said as he pulled her hard, "Don't you think you're too noble? You're just a street singer. Who gave you the courage to refuse me?"

The waiter was stunned and tried to stop him, but his strength was no match for a drunk man. He pulled for a long time, his forehead covered in sweat, but it was of no use.

"Hey, what happened over there?" One of the rich second-rate guys opened the door of the box on behalf of Chi Ze and glanced at something not far away out of the corner of his eye.

Chi Ze wasn't interested. He looked at his watch. There was still an hour before Xie Shizhu went on stage. He said impatiently, "In an hour, I have something else to do."

"I'm already very satisfied that you have the honor to come," the rich second generation opened the door and smiled ingratiatingly. As Chi Ze walked in with his long legs, he heard the exclamations of other friends outside.

"Isn't that Xie Shizhu? It's bad luck to be entangled by the Wu family."

As soon as he finished speaking, a gust of wind passed by his ears, and then he saw Chi Ze's tall figure appear in his sight.

Chi Ze was feeling depressed, and he walked up to the three people who were arguing in a few steps.

Several rich second-generations were stunned and looked at each other. Why did Chi Ze become so impatient when Xie Shizhu's name was mentioned?

"What's wrong with him? Didn't he particularly dislike Xie Shizhu when they were in school?"

"Isn't it? Whenever Xie Shizhu is around, he always avoids her as if she were a bacterium. Why is he rushing over to her now?"

"I know a little rumour," one of the second-generation rich men stared at Chi Ze and gossiped, "There was a high school reunion last time. Chi Ze and Xie Shizhu were in the same class. I heard that Cheng Anan, the daughter of the Cheng family, said something unfavourable about Xie Shizhu at the reunion, and the next day her company was acquired by Chi Ze..."

"Holy crap, is this true? Cheng Anan is in such a bad state because of Xie Shizhu?"

*

The appearance of Chi Ze startled the waiter, who said respectfully, "Mr. Chi."

Xie Shizhu's wrists had turned blue from being gripped by the man, and her face was pale. She seemed unable to struggle anymore and looked at Chi Ze in despair. Her usually bright eyes were now as dead as death.

Chi Ze's heart suddenly ached. He had seen this kind of look a long time ago.

Because Xie Shizhu liked him, she was surrounded by several girls and pushed around. When they saw him passing by, those girls became even more excited and wanted to teach her a lesson on behalf of Chi Ze.

The cell phone in her school uniform pocket fell at Chi Ze's feet, and the already worn-out phone had a cracked screen.

Xie Shizhu wanted to pick up the phone, but she was bullied by several girls and couldn't pick it up. She could only look at Chi Ze for help. Although she knew that Chi Ze hated her, she still had hope until Chi Ze raised his leg and walked past his broken phone.

The girl's eyes instantly dimmed and she stared at him desperately for a few seconds.

In a moment, those eyes overlapped with the desperate look at this moment.

Chi Ze took a deep breath. He never wanted to see Xie Shizhu looking at him like that again.

Chi Ze raised his arm and gripped the man's wrist tightly with his slender fingers. He used all his strength. There was only a crisp click. The man wailed in pain and subconsciously let go of Xie Shizhu's hand.

The pain twisted his facial features, and his legs went numb from the pain of his dislocated wrist. He flopped over and collapsed to the ground.

Chi Ze put his arm around Xie Shizhu's waist, holding her in his arms. He lowered his head to look at the man who was wailing in pain, a vicious look flashing in his eyes. He raised his foot and stepped on the man's other intact hand. He ignored the man's frantic struggle and said coldly, "Wu family?"
