Qiao Zhen took the bag and went to the bathroom to change her clothes. She took a shower before coming out and asked, "Where does Mr. Xu want me to go?"
"A safe place." That was her concise and clear answer, which seemed quite aloof.
Qiao Zhen followed her to a mountain retreat. Every so often, two soldiers stood guard on either side of the mountain path. She even had the illusion that Xu Li was secretly sending her to prison.

Xu's mother went from observing him discreetly to openly scrutinizing him. "Is she Ah Li's girlfriend?"
The female bodyguard nodded. "Yes."
Qiao Zhen felt that the plot was developing a bit too fast and was somewhat inexplicable. She bowed slightly to Xu's mother and said, "Good afternoon, Aunt Xu."
Mrs. Xu did not express any opinion. "Just call me Auntie." She turned to the housekeeper and said, "Have Li Ma prepare the guest room."
Qiao was a tactful person who knew how to handle situations at crucial moments. She simply thanked her politely, "Thank you, Aunt Xu."
