After putting down her fork and wiping her mouth, Qiao Zhen sat down silently.
Zhuo's mother ordered another steak, saying, "You only ate so little, how can you be full? That's the downside of being a celebrity; you can't eat this or that because of your figure."
Qiao Zhen now truly understands what it means to be hungry when your mom thinks you haven't eaten enough. "I've already eaten a lot, look at these plates." She pointed to seven or eight plates that had been folded up.
She was so full that her stomach was bulging.
Now she exudes a gentle aura, especially when she smiles contentedly, which makes Zhuo's cautious mother feel satisfied, but also heartbroken.
How much suffering must one have endured to be so satisfied by a single meal?
This is a misunderstanding on Zhuo's part. Both the original owner and Qiao Zhen are easily satisfied. Especially Qiao Zhen getting a meal she couldn't afford herself made her happier than if she had found a diamond on the queen's crown.
Qiao Zhen glanced at the text messages and time on her phone; it was already 12:30. "I really enjoyed the meal, thank you. But I need to hurry, so I have to go now. Sorry."
She carried her bag and walked away with a brisk pace.
After Qiao Zhen left, Zhuo's mother looked at Zhuo's father and Zhuo Lun and asked, "Has she forgiven us?"
Mr. Zhuo reassured Mrs. Zhuo, "We have to deal with Zhuo Qing first and clarify the relationship in the newspaper as soon as possible."
Zhuolun nodded. "Okay."
Yuan Xiaofang was already waiting in the parking lot with her van. "Sister Qiao, over here."
Qiao Zhen got into the car. She was auditioning for a comedy film called "Butterfly and Phoenix Dance," which featured two female leads, one named Cai Die and the other Fei Feng, both daughters of landlords.
They both fell for the young master Lin Yufan, and so began an endless, harmless scheming between the sisters. There are laughs, there are tears, and many niche truths are interspersed throughout.
