He Zhao picked up his chopsticks with a smile, but changed direction halfway through when he reached for the fried egg.
Qiao Zhen's expectant look vanished. She puffed out her cheeks, picked up the heart-shaped egg, stuffed it into her mouth, and mumbled, "Opportunity knocks but once. Qiao Zhen's little heart can't be ignored, or it will be sad, and I'll have to take it back and not give it to you."
He Zhao chuckled: "I think you're just craving it."
Qiao Zhen's smile faltered for a moment, and she said mischievously, "This matter is between heaven, earth, you, and me. Don't let anyone else know, okay? If you promise, I'll still be your lovely and virtuous wife."
He Zhao didn't say anything and kept eating.
Qiao Zhen cupped her face in her hands as she looked at him. He truly lived up to his reputation as the chosen one. Every gesture he made exuded nobility and was pleasing to the eye. Just looking at him made one's appetite soar.
So handsome, I want to sleep with him.
Qiao Zhen asked absentmindedly and seriously, "Honey, have we ever slept together before?"
"Cough...cough cough cough." He Zhao, with rice stuck in his throat, burst into a series of coughs.
Waiter: My host is amazing.
Qiao Zhen got up and went to his side to pat his back, then handed him some seaweed soup. She suppressed a laugh and teased him, "Honey, you're such a grown man, how can you still choke on your food?"
He Zhao took two gulps of soup. "If you hadn't asked such a provocative question, would I have choked?" He picked up the soup container and brought it to his lips, pretending to drink more water.
Qiao Zhen said thoughtfully, "Ah! So we haven't slept together."
"Pfft—" He Zhao spat a mouthful of water onto the documents. The usually composed man finally showed a hint of embarrassment. "Cough cough cough...cough cough, you're not allowed to watch those TV dramas anymore!"
Qiao Zhenshun patted He Zhao's back, "Honey, that's not a TV series, it's a web series. It's clearly your fault for being too naive, how can you blame those web series? That's so unreasonable."
The secretaries who were eavesdropping outside the CEO's office were shaking with suppressed laughter.
